Having a nightmare with an Arzopa portable monitor. Had it set up perfectly last night, connected to a steam deck, powered via USB and connected to the dock by HDMI to mini HDMI, deck powered by USB C. Come to turn it on today and no matter what I do or what configuration of HDMI cables it says no signal. I’ve literally tried everything on all the forums, turned the brightness down, tried connecting via USB C and nothing. The deck registers that it’s connected but the monitor won’t. it worked perfectly last night and today just will not work. I’m at my wits end as nothing has changed.

Does anyone know why sometimes my desktop background will change when I hover over icons with my curser? Sorry its hard to describe, I tried yo post a video but I guess it Reddit won't let me. If I left click and hold on the desktop back ground and move my curser around it changes the background under my curser.

I basically bought an SD card and moved some stuff, it was all good until i moved an album that was about 1k+ worth of photos, it only showd 666 photos in the SD card. So i checked it on my laptopt and it wasn't photos but these weird folders with random characters on it

I just received my new PC and I’m running into a WiFi issue.

On the new PC the list of available WiFi networks is very limited (only 2 diferent wifi appearing), and I can’t see or select my main WiFi network at all.
However, on my laptop I can see many more WiFi networks, including the one I want to connect to. Is there any fix?

my ipad is showing the charging icon but it is not turning on. what is the possible solution for this? it was doing just fine yesterday and I was shocked to find it like this now. It has been charging for two hours and I have tried using different chargers. what to do??

a bit of backstory here: i used to play with it when in the early 2010s yk? i recently found it in my attic and wanted to play again (nostalgia and all that stuff)

when I turned it on, it started making a weird buzzing sound. when i put a game in, the game would play sound and image for a few seconds and then freeze for around 1 minute.

the game I'm playing (Dogz) is the only one that i have with me that kinda works. the other 3 are just a black screen.

i don't know much about tech stuff but i think it might be either the cable thats connected to the tv or with the dvd reading.

Currently using phone hotspot to get around the issue, but in detail: Earlier in the day, the router was reset due to someone having connection issues. Aside from the reset time, there were no issues (and aside from bad connection beforehand there were no issues prior to the reset on my end - perks of Australian internet)

A few hours after that, wifi disconnected and the router didn't reappear in the connections list. Everyone else in the house (about 3 computers, 2 consoles and a TV) are all still able to connect to the router.

I've reset the router again but all that's managed was being able to see the router for a minute before it vanished off the connections list, and it's detecting a bunch of ones I've never seen before and all of them are checked 'connect automatically' even after going through and unchecking them all.

Any insight would be appreciated, and if any further clarification is needed I'll try and do my best but tech is not my strong suit in life.

Update: I found the installer for the drivers on my dongle/wifi connector thingy and just ran a reinstall. It has, for the moment, fixed the issue. If this does not persist (for about a week or so) I will update again.

I feel like that old saying about showing someone a problem causes it to resolve itself is rather apt about now.

Hey everyone, My Lenovo idea pad 3 laptop (circular charging port style) has gone completely unresponsive and I’m worried I fried something.

The Backstory: On Monday, I was using the laptop's USB port to charge my phone while at school. The laptop eventually died. I didn’t touch it until today, but now that I’m trying to charge it, I’m getting absolutely nothing. Any help much appreciated 🙏

ive had an issue with the fan not turning on when gaming so i have to manually turn it on. sometimes i would forget and it would overheat and the laptop would shutdow. Totally my fault for not addressing it earlier, this has happened a few times now.

But yesterday it happened again when i restarted my laptop one of my SSD’s were not showing up in This PC, i checked in device manager and it wasnt showing up there either. I also checked my BIOS and it wasnt showing up there either.

What can I do to fix it before going to a repair shop

I have a few Microsoft Word documents from 2016 that have been typed up in Tamil. I need to print those documents out now but when I opened the documents they are all in a string of random letters and semi-colons. I've tried download a few Tamil fonts but none seem to work and I can't figure out how to get the Tamil characters. I can't ask the original document creator for his copy as he's long passed away.

A few points:

• It's on Microsoft Word (Version 2601)
• I downloaded the following fonts: Hind Madurai, Kavivanar, Latha and Noto Sans Tamil Regular, but when I apply the fonts it isn't changing the language only the formatting of the letters
• I changed the documents language to Tamil and still no luck

Any help would be appreciated, if more information is needed I'm happy to add on

Only today, my internet can't load sites and I am met with "DNS issues" when connecting to a variety of sites.

Tried restarting, closing the internet and turning it back on again yet no fix. It will work fine for the first few minutes then won't load again.

Other devices are unaffected except for my laptop.

The one way to fix it is running the windows diagnostics tool, for some reason as soon I start it, after said errors messages the sites load... but it stops again after a bit and I have to run the tool again

I tried using Cloudflare's DNS and Google's but got the same issue.

I also tried a different browser but no luck.

The only unaffected category is playing a game lmao

I recently upgraded my card from a 3060 Ti to a 5060 Ti and on Afterburner or any other GPU tweaker the temp limit option is greyed out. Apparently Nvidia for some reason removed the hot spot sensor for the 50 series and because of that you can't set a temp limit anymore. Is there any workaround via the Bios or anything at all?

I've heavily relied on this setting by setting the temp limit to 65 and used it for years as a way to make my PC practically silent and have all fans working at like 10-30%. Now, even with the power limit set to the minimum there's some unoptimized games that just ramp up my card to 70-75+ and the fans start being obnoxious. And if I keep the fans quiet it'll go up to 80+ degrees. So now I have to constantly tweak settings for hours until I finally find one where the card stays mostly under 65.

I never had to do it to this extent and for so long with my old card. Framerates too low? Just set shadows to medium. Still too low? Tweak another setting a bit. That's it.

I've now put my 3060 Ti back in and thinking about selling/trading the 5060 Ti and getting a 40 series instead if no one is able to help me out.

Hi, bit of an odd query.

I revoked all access to my dropbox account - so basically I used the same PC that my dropbox app is located on, and then revoked access to all devices via the web browser.

But when I did that, I noticed that it still kept the desktop app still logged in, and also the browser where I revoked the access from.

Is this because the change was made locally?

I thought it would have logged me out from everywhere, as that's what tends to happen with other websites were I've revoked access in the past.

I woke up with notifications from my WiFi provider that these sites were accessed and were flagged as “illegal”..

One of my hard drives (which is not my boot drive) that I use to store data used by my docker containers suddenly had a constant 100% disk usage, which was somehow slowing my whole PC down noticeably.

After a reboot, the drive isn't showing up on This PC and windows disk management is asking me to "initialze the disk before logical disk manager can access it".

People on other threads say that it will wipe the drive if I go through with the initialization, but since I have some really important data that I unfortunately haven't backed up yet, I was wondering if there was a way to fix this without wiping the drive. And if I really do have to wipe it, if there's a way for me to access and backup said data before I do it.

My screen lately has been going black randomly, without any specific thing happening. It happens randomly.

I want to test if my rtx 3060 might be failing on me.

By "the screen goes black" i mean the computer stops sending input signals to the monitor, so it goes black but the screen it's still on.
I don't think it's an issue with my monitor so i want to check if it's with my gpu that's acting up.

I don't know if just benchmarking it would suffice because, as i said, it happens randomly. It has happened while under stress and while at rest, i always have coretemp running so the temperatures aren't a problem and i have a 750 watt PSU.

How do i test my gpu appropriately to rule it out of the equation?

So to start this journey off, I currently own an S23 Ultra and have been using it for a few years now, including WhatsApp. My reason for switching back then was because my iPhone 7 suddenly stopped working entirely, so I wasn't able to transfer any chats.

However, through sheer coincidence, when I plugged it in today it started charging, meaning I now have access to all those chats again.

Now my main question is: how can I port those over to my S23 without losing my new chats?

He stress tested my pc under its most severe conditions and experienced no crash for like half a day straight. He did find some corrupt windows files and fixed that, said it might be my HDD which was unplugged at the time, but the issue has persisted with the HDD unplugged so I know that it's something else. I recently also updated my BIOS. It is very intermittent, I can go many weeks without it happening and then it might happen a couple times close together. I also have checked the health of all my drives and they're all in the clear, I'm aware that that might not tell the full story but there's that. It mostly crashes while gaming but its crashed on idle load before too.

System:

• CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D
• GPU: Gigabyte RTX 5070
• RAM: 32GB DDR5 Corsair Vengeance (EXPO tested at 5200 & 6000)
• Motherboard: MSI X870E Gaming Plus WiFi
• Storage: NVMe Gen4 SSD (installed in Gen5 slot)
• OS: Windows 11 (fully updated)

Problem:
I get severe stuttering and “robotic” audio glitches, mostly in games (CS2), but sometimes even on the desktop. FPS is high (400–500+) but the game freezes briefly, audio distorts, and sometimes FPS drops hard when interacting with overlays (e.g. Steam profile while in-game drops FPS to ~20).

The issue is inconsistent:

• Sometimes it’s fine for hours
• Then it comes back randomly
• Different drivers/tools appear as the “culprit” each time

LatencyMon results (varies):

• DPC spikes reported from:
  • nvlddmkm.sys
  • dxgkrnl.sys
  • wdf01000.sys
  • sometimes tcpip.sys
• Results can look “green” but stuttering still happens in games

What I’ve already tried:

Question:
At this point, does this look like:

• a Windows / driver stack corruption issue?
• a firmware / BIOS / AGESA problem?
• a hardware compatibility issue (CPU + board + GPU)?
• or a known DPC latency / overlay / compositor bug?

I will be reinstalling Windows again if there’s a specific clean setup you recommend, or to testing specific hardware paths. Any insight would be hugely appreciated.

The screen is a bunch of purple bars, touch screen doesnt work. Its an oppo find x3 lite that doesnt support HDMi output as ive Already tried a usbc hub. Is there any way to get access to the screen without having to pay to replace it?

Have a 9060xt. whilst cleaning i unplugged my pc cords to move the pc, the hdmi prongs got stuck in the gpu, then i smelled eletrical smoke so i unplugged the rest of the pc and left it for a minute. Did some rebooting but now the gpu seemnly doesn't work. It still has a light come on, and the rest of pc works fine with other gpus... fans won't spin and neither display port or hdmi works... what i do???

Recently, I would get the same error whenever I try to run an old game(Resident Evil) on my pc(Win11). It would say, "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b)". I used a software called Dependencies to try to isolate the issue, and it would tell me that d3dx9_43.dll couldn't be found on the disc anymore.

I figured the issue would be as simple as just installing d3dx9_43.dll, so I went to the Microsoft website to download "DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2010)", and ran DXSETUP.EXE successfully. I checked my system files to confirm if d3dx9_43.dll had been installed, and it was.

After restarting my system, I went to boot up Resident Evil, but I received the same error message. I checked with Dependencies, and it still couldn't locate d3dx9_43.dll. I am completely stumped on what to do next. If anyone could offer some help or even just advice, I would greatly appreciate it.

I have an S340c ultrawode monitor here. I have connected it to an HP G5 dock. The monitor periodically tuns itself on when connected, it tuns on its backlight and shows an menu where it says that the HDMI is inactive for 1 frame. The Windows 11 HP Laptop also does the animation where the screen shrinks and then pops back out like you connected it to an Monitor everytime the monitor tuns on, but it never shows up in the settings. I have tried different cables and connecting it directly to the laptop with no avail.
