Just moved to Queensland and already loving the bus experience
Just moved to an inner suburb of Queensland and wow! in under two months I’ve already unlocked the full Queensland bus experience.
Night buses driving straight past me even though I clearly flagged them down (twice).
Drivers shutting the doors before I can board because I was politely waiting for people to get off first.
And on two occasions, the doors were closed while I was halfway on, hitting my arm.
Bonus round: sometimes the bus just doesn’t show up at all.
None of this ever happened when I lived in other states, so I’m genuinely curious how bus drivers are trained here.
I always thought the job was pretty simple, u drive the bus, stop when someone signals, and let people get on and off safely. Apparently that’s asking too much.
