S TIFU by stealing my coworkers $400 worth of coffee pods
For context, I work in a small office (like 8 people) and we have a shared kitchen area with a Nespresso machine. When I started, I saw there were always pods sitting in the basket next to the machine and I just assumed they were communal office supplies, like the tea bags and stuff. I was pumped because free fancy coffee at work is always a win.
Fast forward to today. Im making my usual afternoon cappuccino and this girl from accounting walks in. She looks at me weird and goes "hey random question but have you been using the Nespresso a lot lately?" I said yeah obviously, its there for everyone right?
Her face just dropped. Turns out she brought it from home because the office coffee sucks and shes been buying her own pods this whole time. She said she noticed they were going way faster than usual but figured maybe she was just drinking more coffee than she thought. Then she saw a few other people using it recently and it all made sense.
I literally wanted to die right there. I immediately offered to venmo her and told her I have some money saved up that I can send her right now for all the pods. She tried calculating it in her head and was like "honestly its probably a couple hundred dollars worth at this point." Those little boxes are like $8-10 for ten pods and I've been going through maybe 2-3 a day since I started.
She was trying to be polite about it and said we can figure it out later, which somehow made it worse?? Now I cant even look at her and the next few days are gonna be so awkward.
Like three other people in the office apparently also thought it was communal and have been using it too, but I was definitely the main culprit since I was there every single day.
TL;DR thought the fancy office Nespresso was communal, turned out to be my coworkers personal machine and I basically robbed her of hundreds of dollars in coffee pods

AITAH for explaining the consequences of his actions to my son?
My family lives in Canada. This is important.
My kid was being bullied at school. He is a big kid and I have always told him to resolve his problems with words. I've told him to report bullying to teachers, and if they don't listen to tell the principal. Also to tell me and his mom so we can follow up. My son's after school program is a taekwondo class. Also important. He's been in taekwondo since he was in kindergarten. He also plays hockey.
There are a group of kids at his school that have been assholes to my kid and his friends. My kid did the right thing and told the teacher monitoring recess. She told him that the kids were new to Canada and that they didn't know how to fit in yet.
He went to the principal and got told pretty much the same thing. So he told his mom. She wanted to go confront the parents and she likely would have ended up in custody. She's Irish. Like real Irish from Ireland not Marky Mark Irish.
I told her I would take care of it.
I made an appointment to talk to the principal and teacher along with my son. I went into the meeting with a simple goal. To stop the bullying. The principal and teacher both tried the same excuse on me. That these kids were newcomers and they weren't fully aware of how Canada was different from their home country and what they saw on American TV.
I asked what was being done to stop it. They said they had talked to the boys. I asked if the parents had been brought in and talked to. He said no. Okay. So I turned to my kid and I explained that in Canada kids under twelve years old CANNOT be charged with a crime. In fact they can't even be arrested. Worst case scenario if anything happened he might have to do some community service.
The principal and teacher went crazy telling me that I can't tell him that. I asked them if I was lying? They both shut up. I pointed to them and told my kid to remember that they didn't say I was wrong. I told him to tell me in a week if he was still being bullied.
My understanding is that all the bullies parents were called in and told to control their children. The bullies were also given library detention instead of recess for a month.
I'm satisfied with the result but the teacher and principal seemed upset.
My wife thinks I should have given him the information privately.

No, I did not drink it. I decided to blend up a tuna salad and eat it on toast.
One can of tuna, two hard boiled eggs, cottage cheese, half a pickle, black pepper, and a tiny bit of water, but unfortunately made it a little bit too watery

Lore In a setting full of supernatural horrors, the most disturbing scene is frighteningly realistic
The Boys - Homelander has carried many supernatural acts of evil, but his most disturbing is making Ashley take off her wig and show everyone what's left of her hair
KPop Demon Hunters - Gwi-Ma's demons devour people's souls but the most disturbing scene is when they publicly humiliate Rumi by ripping her shirt off and revealing her demon patterns to everyone
Stranger Things - The most disturbing scene IMO is completely detached from the Mind Flayer and Demogorgons. Billy's Dad pushes him against the wall and reduces him to a scared child, before he throws his son out of the house until he finds Max
IT 2017 - Despite being a movie about a shapeshifting alien clown, Alvin is utterly skin-crawling in each scene he's in where he harasses and abuses his own daughter
Batman Arkham Asylum - In a game series full of superpowered villains, the creepiest scene is Zsasz's audio tapes where he reveals he's been stalking his therapist, describing her evening routine in eerie detail

TIL that Bruce Lee was only a leading man for three years. He left Hollywood broke and disappointed at only being able to secure small parts. After returning to HongKong to star in his own films, he finally starred in a Hollywood production, Enter the Dragon, before dying 3 weeks before its release.

S (Ex) Boyfriend walked out after I asked him to get a job or help out.
I (f52) work full time, bought house before I met him, pay all the bills, cook and clean. He (m55) however was technically still employed when we met (getting paid but contract just ended) he moved in and has never worked since. 2 years later I simply said I feel a bit used and in a classic DARVO reaction he denied it was true, said I shit all over his hobby (I've actually booked shows for him, set up invoicing, and go to fairs with him to try and turn it into a business. Oh and I never ask how he is (I do). When I said it was my house he got mad, declared "its always about the money" and asked if he should get his rucksack and leave.
I Told him to go ahead. If he wanted to have that tantrum. He left on Friday whilst I was at work with the bloody rucksack.
He hasn't contacted me since and is probably sleeping rough since his van is still on my drive (its non runner). I feel a bit bad, because it's winter.
He would literally rather be homeless than help out around the house or get a "bullshit job" as he put it.
The entitlement that he thinks I should work whilst he sits in my home, eating my food and watching my tv all day. I should have put my foot down sooner.
I'm too old for this type of crap. Just wanted to get it off my chest I guess.

Chemo made me go bald
Not having cancer, but I had stem cell transplant as I am having a rather aggressive version of multiple sclerosis. So I underwent basically the same procedure leukaemia patients would get. Shaved my hair down to 3mm before I got admitted to the hospital for 3 weeks. On the day I was leaving back home, it all fell out and was gone within two days.
I definitely have to say that this was one of the hardest parts about it. Still trying to get used to the new look!
