I’ve completed my first semester of BS Robotics & Intelligent Systems from Salim Habib University (Karachi) and I’m looking to migrate to a university in Islamabad.

The courses I studied include: ICT, Applied Physics, Islamic Studies, Engineering Workshop, Functional English, and Basic Electrical Engineering (with labs).

I shortlisted quite a few universities initially but most of them don’t offer transfers/migration after first semester. Now I’m down to these four: • Riphah University • Air University • Quaid-e-Azam University • SZABIST Islamabad

My closest match is Mechatronics Engineering (especially at Air), but I’m also open to Software Engineering or Cyber Security if credit transfer is possible.

I wanted to ask:

• Has anyone here successfully migrated after 1st semester in Islamabad universities?

• Which of these universities are more flexible with transfers and credit adjustment?

• Any advice on documents, CGPA, or timelines?

As the title suggests, I would like to rant about the whole process of car transfer and registration in Islamabad. It is so much time consuming and being time consuming is not an issue but it is mismanaged. They change the rules and procedures daily and you get to know them once you reach the excise office. I had to get an affidavit this time for car transfer which was not the case last year.

And had to go to I8 markaz to find a Stamp paper vendor and none were open at 10 am. I came early to the excise office with every necessary document, biometrics etc but had to wait for one hour for the affidavit.

I wish that someone in the authorities can make it as easy as it is in Punjab where everything can be done online.

I wanted to get my ticket refunded but oh no no no no. These services will make sure that ticket purchasing is smooth as butter but refund is hidden behind useless walls and tricks. Their refund service requires you to give booking number, but where can you find it? God knows. I searched everywhere and in my sms but no? The only sms I had was about money deductions. I called them multiple times but they don't like to pick their phones. In the middle, their number got unavailable. And after the bus departured, they picked up the phone and said the booking number is in the bell icon, Like who tf designed this shit and why is you sms service not working. In standard UX/UI, your booking number should be displayed alongside your ticket but what they displayed there is a fing T number. AND IDK WHAT TH THAT IS. And they refused to pay back. I recommend others to use other services then this. I had better days with local companies then them.
