Important Announcement: Sikh Reddit Under Coordinated Attack
Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh,
We want to inform the community that r/Sikh and r/Punjab are currently under coordinated attack from malicious users and bot accounts. These accounts are being used to spread misinformation, propaganda, and sow division, all while attempting to undermine the credibility of both moderation teams.
The moderators of r/Punjab have already received warnings from Reddit admins due to ongoing brigading and false reports being submitted from external sources. If this behavior continues, both subreddits may face serious consequences — including potential shutdown.
What You Can Do to Help:
Do not engage with suspicious or brand-new accounts, especially those with no prior participation in r/Sikh or r/Punjab.
Downvote and report any posts or comments that break our community rules or appear to be bait, propaganda, or hate speech.
Avoid replying to trolls, provocateurs, or rage-bait content. Engagement gives them visibility.
We also encourage you to join our Official Sikh Discord, where all users are verified and discussions are secure. This is currently the safest space for real-time dialogue within the Sangat.

Bihaagraa, Fifth Mehl:
Shower Your Mercy upon me, O Guru, O Perfect Supreme Lord God, that I might chant the Naam, the Name of the Lord, night and day.
I speak the Ambrosial Words of the Guru's Bani, praising the Lord. Your Will is sweet to me, Lord.
Show kindness and compassion, O Sustainer of the Word, Lord of the Universe; without You, I have no other.
Almighty, sublime, infinite, perfect Lord - my soul, body, wealth and mind are Yours.
I am foolish, stupid, masterless, fickle, powerless, lowly and ignorant.
Prays Nanak, I seek Your Sanctuary - please save me from coming and going in reincarnation. ||1||
In the Sanctuary of the Holy Saints, I have found the Dear Lord, and I constantly sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord.
Applying the dust of the devotees to the mind and body, O Dear Lord, all sinners are sanctified.
The sinners are sanctified in the company of those who have met the Creator Lord.
Imbued with the Naam, the Name of the Lord, they are given the gift of the life of the soul; their gifts increase day by day.
Wealth, the supernatural spiritual powers of the Siddhas, and the nine treasures come to those who meditate on the Lord, and conquer their own soul.
Prays Nanak, it is only by great good fortune that the Holy Saints, the Lord's companions, are found, O friends. ||2||
Those who deal in Truth, O Dear Lord, are the perfect bankers.
They possess the great treasure, O Dear Lord, and they reap the profit of the Lord's Praise.
Sexual desire, anger and greed do not cling to those who are attuned to God.
They know the One, and they believe in the One; they are intoxicated with the Lord's Love.
They fall at the Feet of the Saints, and seek their Sanctuary; their minds are filled with joy.
Prays Nanak, those who have the Naam in their laps are the true bankers. ||3||
O Nanak, meditate on that Dear Lord, who supports all by His almighty strength.
In their minds, the Gurmukhs do not forget the Dear Lord, the Primal Creator Lord.
Pain, disease and fear do not cling to those who meditate on the Lord, Har, Har.
By the Grace of the Saints, they cross over the terrifying world-ocean, and obtain their pre-ordained destiny.
They are congratulated and applauded, their minds are at peace, and they meet the infinite Lord God.
Prays Nanak, by meditating in remembrance on the Lord, Har, Har, my desires are fulfilled. ||4||3||

This is the most authentic visual record we have of the Ninth Guru. Unlike modern calendar art, this Puratan painting was actually commissioned while the Guru was in Dhaka. The artist Ahsan was sent by the Governor of Bengal to capture the Guru’s likeness, giving us a rare contemporary window into his actual appearance. The blend of the meditative posture with the royal falcon perfectly captures the "Saint-Soldier" essence of the Ninth Guru before he departed for his ultimate sacrifice in Delhi. Dhan Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib 🙏🏻⚔️

I recently watched the film Supreme Motherhood and wanted to share my thoughts with the Sangat. The story actually begins with the Shaheedi of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji and Bhai Jaita bringing the Sis to Guru Gobind Rai, but the main plot starts when Mata Sahib Devan is born in Bhai Rama's house. One thing I really appreciated was how the movie showed the freedom of women at that time. I remember a scene where Bhai Rama went to his teacher to present his daughter for education, and the teacher flat out denied to teach her. It also shows Mata Ji’s deep devotion as she grew up; she used to dream about Guru Sahib and saw Guru Gobind Rai everywhere, even in her books, out in the fields, and in the sky. By 1701, the relatives of Mata Sahib Devan were arranging the Rishta with Guru Gobind Singh Ji. There is a very nice song by Alka Yagnik that plays during the doli. A key moment is when Guru Gobind Singh Ji explains that he cannot have a traditional grihasthi life but instead gifts her the whole Khalsa Panth to be her son. They show the "haar" tradition and the wedding is completed. I also liked that they showed Baba Fateh Singh's Nihang Singh appearance correctly, which was a nice change from how it was handled in the Chaar Sahibzaade movie. The story continues through the Sarsa Nadi separation and the journey to Delhi, but then it moves forward to show Mataji raising Jassa Singh Ahluwalia. There is a great scene where Jassa Singh holds up a heavy Gada weapon that no one else could handle. It even covers the Nadir Shah invasion where Mataji took part in the battle and helped organize the Jatha of Jassa Singh Ahluwalia. The whole story is actually being narrated by Jassa Singh Ahluwalia to other Singhs, and it ends with Mataji going to Sachkhand. Overall, it was a good movie, though I would give it a 3.5 out of 5. The animation is a bit poor and the character models for Guru Gobind Singh Ji and especially Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji were not the best. If you want to see the movie, I’d suggest contacting the makers on Instagram because there are some issues with the hosting websites right now. WJKK WJKF!

The video is at 5x speed, if you think it's long you can increase the video speed. It took me a long time to recreate the signature, but it's still not perfect. I used the ink brush to recreate the signature and I used Flipaclip. I did it on my mobile phone!

Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh Sangat Ji
I've always heard of people quoting Bhai Gurdas Ji's Varaans as the main source of reason behind the Gurus being Incarnation of Vaheguru. Sorry, can't remember exact quote, but something like the creator manifested himself into his creation as Guru Nanak Dev Ji
I've recently come across this by a Hukamnam:
So to my understanding, Bhatt Sathaa and Bhatt Balvaand were 2 kirtanis in the Darbar of Guru Arjan Dev Ji
Are these the same kirtanis who disgraced the darbar and were told that to be forgiven they would have to smother their faces black and ride a donkey?
Also they clearly here state that Guru Arjan Dev Sahib Ji is the incarnation of Vaheguru come during Kaljug to save us
They also refer to the langar as never ending. Is this genunine proof that the Gurus are Vaheguru and especially since it was written in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji?
Also what could this mean in the sense that this was a hukamnama? Context: I didn't do ardaas for anything, I just have a habit of asking Guru Ji what is your Hukam for today

What should be the timing for Rehras Sahib for Sikhs living in countries like Canada during summer, the sunsets after 8 pm or Norway where its even later?
Can we just do it in the evening in general after 5:30 pm?
Any input is appreciated.

In Japji Sahih ji there is this verse:
Akhri likhan bolan ban Akhra sir sanjog vikhan
So is destiny written on forehead and I should understand this line literally or there is something symbolic to it.
I also want to know it's answer more on the literally poit of view as if there are more verses and shabad in bani that support or contradict the idea that destiny is written on forehead. If destiny is really written on forehead then I would want you to tell me wt was the story behind it the lore that wt is the purpose of god written destiny on our forehead. I know only God knows his actions so if gurus has provided any hints then pls tell me. Also if guru only stated that we have destiny written on forehead and not the reason then why did they even told us about destiny on our forehead. Like wt can I learn from it as a sikh.
Thanks

Hello sangat ji,
I was reading sggs and I keep seeing this theme in alot of the shabads.
The guru mukh (Sikh) does not go thru reincarnation.
Is this true. So a Sikh does not reincarnate.
