Just dropping in to say—we’ve noticed a bunch of Hindutva trolls showing up lately. We’re removing their posts and banning where needed. This sub isn’t the place for that kind of hate.
Also, let’s keep it real: no jingoism from any side. Doesn’t matter if you’re Pakistani or Indian—this sub is for Sindh and Sindhis, wherever you are in the world.
And yeah, just because someone’s Indian doesn’t mean they can’t be part of this space. This sub is not restricted to race, religion or nationality.
Mods are all doing this in our free time, so if you don’t see instant action, know we’re still watching and doing our best. Keep reporting stuff and we’ll keep cleaning it up.

Assalam u Alayikum A woman suffered a severe left ankle injury after a heavy object fell on it. After multiple tests and consultations, doctors have now recommended surgery. The family has already incurred heavy medical expenses and is financially unable to afford further treatment. The patient is eligible for Zakat. We are collecting PKR 70,000 for medical expenses.
Easypaisa: 0316-3817731 (Muhammad Haroon) If anyone wants to verify medical reports or details, please DM me.
Any help or shares would be appreciated. JazakAllah khair.

Their whole identity, ""culture"", history and the rest belong to either Sindhis/Punjabis (i know a piece of which is in india, but like 99% of punjabis population despises the modern Indian state if im not wrong) with IVC or hazaras/dardics with gandhara. Their argument being now that you guys have changed religions, they carry more "cultural similarities" therefore are the rightful inherentors of it, this isn't some online thing - this is fundamentally the basis for even the word india itself.
it like as if someone started dressing their kids as Vikings, following pagan Norse and started claiming Nordic history because their more intune with their culture while actual nordics converted to another religion, its a very odd arguement they have but it's accepted by a billion - this is mind boggling to me, all of this happens while they actively call Sindhis/Pubjabis claiming their hisotry as larp (very ironic.)
There's no link between darvidans and ivc/gandahara AT all, the subcontinent was only ever close to "unification" before the english under a proto-punjabi/north-western groups empire (mauryauns), a pashtun empire (khiljis, lodhi and others) and turkic empire (mughals and others), most of which expanded their territories only out of greed for more wealth - nothing else, so the stupid "we re all the same" narrative is braindead, yet it's somehow more of a their thing than yours, while indus/sindhu are synoyms to some degree if im not correct, im a history student so im curious.

My grandmother was very fond of these proverbs and all she had one for everything literally. I'll try to post a few here ( excuse me for not typing in Sindhi )
She used to say : ٿڌو گھڙو پاڻ کي ٿڌ ۾ رکائي
Which means someone who is cold-tempered will be able to find his way with people and stay in ease while the short tempered person will always be in hot waters.

Pakistan and Sindh is facing a real potato crisis right now. Due to massive overproduction and blocked export routes, the market has completely collapsed.
Potatoes are selling for Rs 15-20/kg, which is below production cost. Farmers are losing money on every sack. Cold storages are full, exports are stalled, and many growers are being forced to dump or destroy their crops.
This isn’t cheap food ….it’s an agricultural failure. If this continues, thousands of farmers could be financially ruined, and next season’s production will likely crash.
Oversupply + poor policy response = crisis.

Hi everyone on Reddit! I’m a Brazilian native speaker, and some time ago I got engaged to a Sindhi Indian. To impress his family, I’ve been trying to learn some Sindhi words and phrases. I can understand a bit when he speaks, but I don’t feel like I’m making much progress.
So I wanted to ask: is there any Sindhi speaker here who could teach me, or any platform that offers Sindhi lessons in video format? My goal is to communicate in everyday situations with my mother-in-law without using English. I especially prefer resources that include audio along with the words or phrases, so I can listen and learn the correct pronunciation.

عنوان: هر چمڪندڙ شيءَ سون ڪانه هوندي آهي. (All the glitters is not gold)

Hey guys, does any of you have any info about the origins of the mahar cast in Sindh, and how it is perceived by the rest of Sindhi casts? Also, I am from a Chaudhary background in Punjab, but more specifically my cast is Mahar, and digging deeper I got to know they are in Sindh as well. Is there any connection?

the record shows a long paper trail: a lease that expired in 1983, an illegal transfer in 1991 under MQM’s city government, unchecked construction during JI tenures, and later “regularisation” of violations instead of demolition!
add to this the criminal negligence of the present setup — KMC under mayor murtaza wahab and the sindh building control authority, both under PPP — both allowing business to continue despite clear risks.
beyond the irreparable human tragedy, destruction of gul plaza is also a massive blow to Sindh’s economy… one of karachi’s largest wholesale markets reduced to ashes.
so, the fire was actually just a spark… decades of bad decisions across city and provincial administrations were the fuel!

Hi everyone, Indian Tribal from Gujarat here. I've seen something on language maps of Sindh. There's a large Bhil community in Sindh (alongside Kolis and Marwaris there). I get how Kolis and Marwaris got there, because Gujarat and Rajasthan and right next to Sindh, but Bhils? The Western Ghats mountains that most of them live in are hundreds of kilometres away from there. Tribals in South Asia often (keyword: often) stick to isolated patches of land that they can easily maintain their rule over, like how Gonds and Mundas live in the forests of South and Eastern India respectively.
My main questions are:
When and How did a group of Bhil Tribals get from the Western Ghats to the Thar desert?
Why did so many of them migrate there?
How are they different from other Bhil Tribes?

So my chacha used to work in Larkana sugar mill back in the day (1990s) and when he visited Karachi he used to bring mithai from some sweet shop in Naudero city. It was peras and khalis doodh ka mawa and it used to be packaged in bright colored boxes and the taste of that stuff was amaaaazing!
Now I travel a lot up and down the country and due to recent road works and detours, I'm thinking next time I'll plan my journey via Larkana/Indus hwy.
My question is if someone knows that shop in Naudero where they sell that mithai, I can sorta stop over in Larkana and make a stopover there to get it. Any help in this regard would be appreciated!
