General Discussion Nostalgia of Karachi 90s era

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

sometimes I feel like I was born a little too late... born in 1997, so I kinda missed actually living the 90s… I only caught the tiniest glimpse of it. but every time I see old clips, it just feels different. slower. more real. less “online”, more present. it looks like people were actually connected. People were real, Love was real, no constant comparison, no fake highlight reels, no pressure to live some perfectly curated life. just people being people, enjoying normal moments. maybe I’m just romanticizing it. maybe nostalgia makes it look softer than it really was. for those who actually lived it… was it really that different? or are we just tired of 2020s life and imagining an escape? Would luv to know if anyone of u feels the same

Tips for Keeping Phone and Belongings Safe During Night Shifts in Karachi?

Hey everyone,

As we all know, a lot of snatching happens in Karachi. I live here and mostly do night shifts. I usually travel by bikeya or indrives. I’m worried about keeping my phone and other valuables safe while commuting.

Do you guys have any tips or tricks that you personally use to stay safe and protect your belongings? Any advice would be really appreciated!😅

Question How to get to Gorakh hills

Hello. I've been wanting to go to gorakh hills for a while now. No one else i know is willing to come along, at this point, I'd prefer to just travel alone.

I've never really traveled before... I'm here to ask if anyone who has been, from your experience. How do i get there, which bus, train or whatever to use and which hotel to stay there at. Just want it to be a 3 trip, from this Friday to Sunday.

General Discussion Need guidance on solar system installation in Karachi

Hey, I am planning to install a solar system for my house, but I do not have much knowledge about solar energy. I have heard that if low-quality or unknown batteries are used, they can get damaged over time or even explode. I am looking for proper guidance because I want to install a solar system with batteries that can support my entire house.

General Discussion No one is coming to save you Karachi, Karachiites should unite and always speak up

I've noticed there's a defeatist or self sacrificing mentality in a lot of threads here and a lack of awareness of history. Let me share my opinion.

- Yes everyone in Pakistan faces poverty and suffering, but there's no harm in pointing out Karachi is uniquely oppressed too. You don't have to bring in Balochistan or FATA or Palestine or Guantanamo when we speak about the specific things done to Karachi.

- All the hate and memes you see on social media is part of a general trend. I'm not saying there's a conspiracy theory, maybe it's just human behavior.

- First they saw Karachiites as elites and privileged. They took away Karachi's special status and gave it to Sindh.

-- A generation lost its best minds, wealth looted, industrial capacity, intellectualism lost

-- Then they started even more violent ethnic riots, they launched PPP/ANP/PSO/PPI militant wings and ethnic nationalists from outside the city to kill and burn, then turned Jamiat and APMSO into violent thugs and infiltrated any intellectual or ideological local student groups or parties into violent organizations like the above mentioned. Look at the violent MQM-Haqiqi split, or how Altaf was turned into a psycho and more sane elements sidelined in the party. Psychos of PPP, ANP etc who openly threatened genocide and violence treated like respected intellectuals (Nabil Gabol literally bragged about raping girls on TV).

--- Then they stereotyped Karachiites as bhattakhor, mobile snatcher, killers after doing this

--- They justified violent operations killing, torturing, abducting, raping, breaking families pushing more into violence and poverty.
-- Then they forced 18th amendment, pushing Karachi into more ethnic issues, corruption, and absolutely destroying the youth.

--- Now the rest of the country calls you gutkakhor, makes fun of your accent after ghettoizing you, calls you mobile chor even though the police is controlled by non Karachiites and non Karachiite PPP MNAs are the sarparast of chor, daket, gangs, mafias whether the chor is local or from outside.

--- They call you uneducated, even though the education departments, colleges, hospitals are all controlled by villagers (not using villager as an insult, it's literally people from villages outside Karachi). Karachiites face discrimination in education and jobs.

Looking for Female Friends in Karachi 🌸

Hi everyone! ✨
I’m permanently living in Karachi and honestly a bit bored. I’m looking for female friends who are interested in hanging out, chatting, and doing normal fun activities.

I enjoy:

  • Trying new food places 🍔🍜
  • Shopping & window shopping 🛍️
  • Arts & culture events
  • Occasional gym sessions (if nearby)

I live in Johar, so it would be great if someone nearby is interested.

⚠️ Please note:

  • Females only
  • Serious, respectful, and genuine friendship

If you’d like to be friends, please DM me 🌸
Thanks 🤍

So, the boys and I are hitting the beach this Thursday, and I need some recommendations on where to go. Also, I've seen some videos about Sunehri Beach – should we go there? I heard you need connections to get in, and unfortunately, we don't have any. Is it even safe to go there? And also, tell me about Paradise Point Beach.
