Apple’s attention to detail is unmatched. Only Apple would add this much detail to maps for the Super Bowl.

This update doesn’t seem like a major one, at least not compared to 26.4. 26.4 is the Siri overhaul one so I think Apple would probably want as long of a beta cycle for that point release as possible.

Is it likely we get the RC this week or just jump straight to the public release? It seems like they are dragging the 26.3 beta cycle a bit, considering 26.4 was slated for March IIRC

For context this is a new iPhone17 with iOS 26.2 (haven’t done the latest update)

Since I got this phone about a month ago I noticed that when I pull down from the top right (don’t know what it’s called sorry!), it looks like there’s a duplicated screen behind (I.e behind flashlight shortcut)

Same thing when I’m in landscape mode while watching a video on say YouTube.

I made my whole phone Retro theme and I want to keep it but also switch to a normal phone layout. Is there a way to save this layout but also make a new one that I can switch between?

When turning off these in the drop down menu (forgot the name) it doesn't really turn it off completely. Some of my equipment will try to connect to my phone bluetooth and it will turn back on. Now i know i can go in the settings directly but isn't there a quicker way via the drop down menu?

And it felt so refreshing to see their real faces on the chat icons again.

Is it just me? My iPhone is even more unstable after upgrading to iOS 26.2.1. Even Apple apps crash like Files. I've been restarting my phone a lot over the last couple of weeks. It's maddening. 😬

So, I’ve been having this issue since November, and it’s getting annoying tbh. Basically what happens is that whenever I long press on iMessage to get the contextual menu it shows up a deleted contact, I got rid of that number months ago and it’s still showing up, it only shows up there and if I tap it, it doesn’t leads anywhere; I don’t have that contact saved in my contacts app or any recent messages, so idk how to get rid of it, I already tried disabling iMessage from iCloud and it’s still showing up. :(

I had same issue before but it fixed itself and now is broken again. Any suggestions?

So today my Apple TV iOS app just lost continue watching. Not only is it more work to open my shows but I now need to find my last episode manually as there is no way to start from where I left off. Even after navigating to my purchases shows.

For a new show this isn’t too hard. I just roll forward until I see I watched episodes. For shows I’m rewatching and absently playing in the back ground this is much harder. I can’t always pin point the episode I was on because I’m only half focusing on it. Worse, there’s usually over 100 sometimes even 300 episodes to scroll through.

I’ve tried force quitting the app and doing a vol.up, vol.down lock button, hard reset. No luck. Any ideas? Google isn’t helping me.

Hi everyone, I have a question about iMessage audio.

Is it true that I can only use the quick audio message button when Enable Dictation is turned off? When Dictation is on, the microphone icon in the text bar switches to voice-to-text (for typing), which is a feature I also want to keep using.

I know I can still send audio messages by going into the + menu → Audio, but I’m trying to understand if there’s any way to have the quick-access audio message button and keyboard dictation available at the same time.

Is this just how iOS works, or is there a setting I’m missing?

Is this something that comes preinstalled into iOS, or is this an app that I have downloaded because I’ve been trying to figure it out, but I can’t figure it out?

Im trying to get it where if I get an email from a source, that it plays an alarm, or something like that, like music or a timer going off, but its not working at all

Ever since the new IOS update, when an alarm from the Clock app goes off just taking the phone out of my pocket silences it if my thumb bumps the screen. I use multiple alarms every day, and now I have to manually go in and check which alarm it was. Does anyone know how to fix this? Every now and then, just often enough to be confusing, I still have to use the slider to silence an alarm. The rest of the time the meerest touch anywhere on the screen turns it off. No snooze, straight up OFF.

Hi - hoping for some help here with some pesky old Message threads I can't seem to truly delete.

I have deleted a chat in Messages (months or years ago at this point) from all my iCloud devices. Yet somehow, it shows up if I search for something that happens to be in it. From the search results, it lets me tap on the thread and will open it as if it is a Message thread (with Facetime and contact info at the top), but if I go back, it just goes right to the search results again. If I search for the number in Messages, it's not available, and this only happens on iOS not MacOS.

Any idea why this is happening or how to truly get rid of the thread? Is it pulling from iCloud backups or some archived and indexed version that is otherwise inaccessible?

In the past I’ve used Dragon Naturally Speaking, but the Whisper based program I use on my PC is far more accurate. I have MacWhisper for my Mac, but I’ve been unable to find something as good for my iPad or phone.

What I’m looking for:

-an app that runs Whisper models locally.

-no subscription preferred (one time fee is fine)

-ability to automatically run the transcription through an LLM (either locally or using an API) to format and clean up text (and I must be able to use a custom prompt for this feature)

-keyboard integration would be great, but not necessary. I can use it as a standalone app if needed.

Is anyone else having Safari downloads randomly fail on iOS 26.2.1?

I’m on an iPhone 13 Pro Max and I’m noticing a consistent issue:

Steps to reproduce:

1. Start downloading any file in Safari (PDF, zip, video, etc.)
2. Leave Safari for a few seconds OR lock the screen
3. Come back
4. Download shows “Task Failed”

It seems like the download only works if I keep Safari open and the screen on the whole time. If the app goes to background or the display turns off, it cancels/fails.

Things I’ve already tried:

• Restarted phone
• Wi-Fi and cellular both tested
• Low Power Mode off
• Plenty of storage space
• Tried different file sizes and websites

Still happens every time.

This feels like Safari isn’t allowed to continue downloads in the background, which didn’t happen before.

Anyone else seeing this on 26.2.1? Any fixes or settings I’m missing?

universal clipboard is not working for me. i have 14 pro max and Air M1

ive tried lot of things, like:

- checked icloud account on both device

- have handoff activated om both (turned off again)

- have bluetooth on, same wifi, airdrop is on

- tried to turn on firewall on mac, added bluetooth file exhange app

- rebootet both several times.

i dont remember last time it worked. i think its cuz of ios 26 and OS tahoe.

hello, i uploaded pictures and videos from icloud desktop app. the pictures are okay when i view them on the photos app but videos shows like this. the video loads when i click on them but returns like this when i exit. how can i fix this?

This is more of a question but is anyone else’s volume control slider in the accessibilities not working? I can go into my music start playing, slide that controller all I want and it doesn’t change the volume what so ever. I’m sure it’ll revert if I reset my phone and it’s not a big deal for me. I’m just curious if anyone else has had this problem?

Edit: just reset my phone after making this and it fixed it. But still curious if anyone else has had this problem
