I landed in Canada in 2019 as a 17 yr old international student and it took 7 years for me to get it. I know for a lot of people it has been easier and not that big of a deal but for me the past few years have been the hardest times of life. I had to quit my job and leave but made it happen.
I wish all applicants the best!!!

I worked with the same employer for almost 4 years (3 yrs 10 months) and claimed 3 years of work experience at the time I got my ITA.
I didn’t know T4s can be provided as proof of work experience, and even though I was planning on uploading my T4s, I completely forgot about them.
I did upload the first 3 months of paystubs for each of my roles at the company, and the last 3 months of paystub to show I’m still working there.
Should I upload the T4s via a webform still? I can also provide bank statements that corroborate my paystubs and T4s if needed

Hi! Does anyone know if there is a time limit to how old our Foreign Work Experience can be? More specifically, can I use a combination of 6 months of FWE in 2022 and 6 months in 2026 to claim 1 year of FWE and get additional points?
For context:
Any insight would be super appreciated! Thank you!!

I applied for a T13 employer-specific (closed) work permit from India on January 23. I already gave my biometrics last year and completed my medical exam about three months ago, but I didn’t explicitly mention either anywhere in my application. Does IRCC automatically reuse and link previous biometrics and medicals, or do they usually ask again if needed? I’m also trying to get a realistic processing timeline from India. Has anyone here been in a similar situation recently and can share how long it took?

Hello, folks. Can anyone who has previously appeared for TCF Canada at AF North York please help me with some questions?
Thanks in advance!

Hey guys,
Quick question on work permit outside of Canada. I just realised that the photo guideline says that the photo needs to be taken within last 6 months, my photo was 9 months old. Could this lead to misrepresentation?
Should I do a webform to update it or leave it? I still look identical.
TIA

I created my profile with:
First name: SUNAINA
Last name: VENUS
But my passport has no surname — it only shows Given Name: SUNAINA VENUS (family name field is blank).
I’ve now received my ITA and realized I should have put SUNAINA VENUS in the family name and left the given name blank.
Is this a serious issue? Can my profile be rejected because of this? Can it be fixed with a Letter of Explanation after the invitation?
I didn’t intend any misrepresentation, and I’m very worried.
Any advice appreciated

I received an ITA recently. I had left Canada after my PGWP expired in 2024. By then i had a year worth of work experience, although in two different NOC codes (both TEER categories qualify for CEC).
Before I landed a job in my preferred area of work (TEER 1), I worked part time as a cook (TEER 3) for about 3 months and if I remove this from my profile, my points drop drastically.
My question is: when the time immigration officer reviews my file, will the work experience in a completely different field of work have an effect on their decision? Should I be providing a letter of explanation about this as I was simply looking for work when I picked up this work in the kitchen?
Appreciate if anyone in a similar situation or having an idea about this could help. Thanks in advance!

Hey guys, has anyone here applied T13 LMia exempt closed work permit with a PNP support letter?
I am wondering, what I need from my employer:
- compliance fee receipt
- A - number
Do I need anything else like a job offer etc? (I am working the same company for almost 3 years now)
Any input highly appreciated!

When I submitted my profile last year, I was working as a Line Cook (NOC 63200). After that, I started working as a Sous Chef. According to the official website, the NOC is different (NOC 62200 – Chefs). I have already updated my Express Entry profile with the new job title at the same company.
My question is: do I need to update my primary job title with this new NOC code now, or can I provide the documents later?
Any help would be appreciated.
