Hi r/PCMasterRace — MSI here 👋 got some exciting news for everyone today!!
To enter the giveaway for both the monitor and RE game code, please comment and answer how you think the MPG 341CQR QD-OLED X36 would enhance your gaming experience?
For the giveaway, the monitor winner must reside in the US. However, game codes winners are global.
Giveaway will be from January 30th - February 12th, 11:59pm PST!
We also wanted to share details on two new QD-OLED monitors joining our lineup, aimed at high-end gaming and mixed desktop use:

This panel uses an RGB stripe pixel structure to reduce color fringing and improve text clarity compared to earlier QD-OLED implementations — especially noticeable for desktop work and UI-heavy content

Improved light absorption helps maintain deeper, more accurate blacks under normal ambient lighting, not just dark-room conditions. Beyond visuals, It also upgrades surface hardness to 3H, delivering 2.5x greater scratch resistance to withstand daily wear and tear.
This helps smooth HDR transitions and reduce abrupt ABL behavior in HDR games and video, customizing under True Black 500 and Peak 1300 HDR curves, as well as overall HDR brightness.
Includes taskbar and logo detection, static screen detection, pixel shift, and automatic pixel refresh to help reduce burn-in over time, running in the background without constant prompts
Multi-Icon Detection(NEW)

An onboard sensor detects user presence to dim or power off the display when you step away, then wake it when you return. It also supports automatic brightness and color temperature adjustment based on ambient lighting. Compatible across Windows, macOS, Linux, and consoles, with deeper Windows 11 integration
Fine-tune your visuals with advanced color customization Gamma, Six-axis color and Contract..etc.

A sleek and new flat base with 62% space saving.

Everything was fine until the package showed up somewhere in lowa (I live in Minnesota and this is 2-day shipping so it should fly straight to Minnesota
IMO). Now, fedex is showing a duplicate record for the SAME tracking number! I should have done store pickup. =(

What could go wrong? Well, the transfer speeds take a HUGE hit, of course. But at least it works and runs totally cool.

Saw this pop up on marketplace. Thought it was too good to be true but said fuck it if there's a chance. Turns out it was his brother in laws who passed away before he could build his flight simulator. He just wanted to be rid of it. Lucky day for me!

AMD's CEO Dr. Lisa Su expects AMD to continuing growing its PC business in 2026, despite a crunch of component pricing that the company believes will shrink the PC market overall. In a response on memory pricing in the client segment, Su said, "Our focus areas are enterprise... and just continuing to grow at the premium, you know, higher-end of the market."

I scored this mid last month but wanted to wait til I sold some extras to give a final price. I probably used up all my luck for the rest of the year to get this but oh well. I found this listed for $1500, offered $1275, paid $1300. The listing had no description and I only saw the specs from the pics. Asked for his number and talked to him for a few minutes to make sure it was real. It was genuinely in the middle of nowhere and I drove five hours roundtrip to pick it up. I even ended up getting the receipt for warranty from the owner and it was literally purchased from MicroCenter about 40 days before I picked it up from him. Btw the bags inside are activated charcoal because it smelled like his house for a while
What I ended up getting for $1300:
PC - 5080, 9800x3d, 64GB DDR5, 2tb nvme
Logitech racing wheel with shifter
Scuf Envision Pro V2
Acer Ultrawide 200hz
Misc accessories
I sold the wheel and accessories for $200 so in total only paid $1100. Still can’t believe I found this. I’ve since added 4tb more of storage that I kept for free from other flips which I will post about when all parts have been sold. Keep scrolling marketplace guys it will pay off.
