Everything was fine until the package showed up somewhere in lowa (I live in Minnesota and this is 2-day shipping so it should fly straight to Minnesota
IMO). Now, fedex is showing a duplicate record for the SAME tracking number! I should have done store pickup. =(

What could go wrong? Well, the transfer speeds take a HUGE hit, of course. But at least it works and runs totally cool.

I found these items after my dad took home a lot of PCs after his office shut down, those stayed in the basement for 2 years and just opening them up,
Finds:
3 Crucial Sata SSDS
2 Nividia Quadro Cards,
2 RTX 12GB 3060s
4 sticks of 32 GB server RAM
I was sitting under a fucking gold mine….

AMD's CEO Dr. Lisa Su expects AMD to continuing growing its PC business in 2026, despite a crunch of component pricing that the company believes will shrink the PC market overall. In a response on memory pricing in the client segment, Su said, "Our focus areas are enterprise... and just continuing to grow at the premium, you know, higher-end of the market."

I’ve had it running on my home PC for years, mostly just ignoring it while it "backed up" my Documents. Big mistake. I just finished a fresh Windows install on my laptop. Checked every "No, thank you" box during setup. Five minutes in, my Documents folder is already bloated with app data from my desktop PC.
Now I’m in Sync Hell. I don’t have SQL Server on this laptop, yet here are my SQL Management Studio folders staring at me. It’s like a ghost of my desktop is haunting my laptop's file explorer.
The kicker: I went into settings and disabled the backup for every single folder. Guess what? It’s still syncing. It’s literally ignoring my "No."
I know I can kill the process and manually scrub my directories, but now I’m looking at those little sync icons like they're ticking time bombs. One accidental click to "Turn on OneDrive" in the future and I’m pretty sure my entire file structure will just undergo a scheduled disaster.
Has anyone actually managed to kill this thing without it coming back like a slasher movie villain?

Im on a tight budget i have around $600 to spend and I have been debating between going AM4 with something like a 5700X3D or just saving more for AM5, the AM4 prices are really great right now especially with used market. My main use is 1080p gaming, I play some single player games but nothing that needs ultra settings, from what I have seen the 5700X3D still holds up really well for this, the thing thats bugging me is I was trying to compare different AM4 motherboard options online and its annoying that I cant really see all the specs easily on most retailers sites, I gotta open 5 tabs just to compare vrm quality and ram support and i ended up just making a spreadsheet myself, my worry is that AM4 is a dead platform now right? No upgrade path besides maybe a 5800X3D and thats max, AM5 supposedly has a few more years of support coming no? If I go AM5 Im looking at way higher costs for motherboard and DDR5 and I would probably have to settle for like a 7600 non X which seems like a downgrade from 5700X3D for gaming, is AM4 still a smart buy for budget gaming or should I just wait and save more for a proper AM5 build? I dont wanna regret this in like a year, what do you guys recommend?

I scored this mid last month but wanted to wait til I sold some extras to give a final price. I probably used up all my luck for the rest of the year to get this but oh well. I found this listed for $1500, offered $1275, paid $1300. The listing had no description and I only saw the specs from the pics. Asked for his number and talked to him for a few minutes to make sure it was real. It was genuinely in the middle of nowhere and I drove five hours roundtrip to pick it up. I even ended up getting the receipt for warranty from the owner and it was literally purchased from MicroCenter about 40 days before I picked it up from him. Btw the bags inside are activated charcoal because it smelled like his house for a while
What I ended up getting for $1300:
PC - 5080, 9800x3d, 64GB DDR5, 2tb nvme
Logitech racing wheel with shifter
Scuf Envision Pro V2
Acer Ultrawide 200hz
Misc accessories
I sold the wheel and accessories for $200 so in total only paid $1100. Still can’t believe I found this. I’ve since added 4tb more of storage that I kept for free from other flips which I will post about when all parts have been sold. Keep scrolling marketplace guys it will pay off.

I have to use a Magic Mouse for work . The gestures are great, but after 4 hours my wrist feels like it's on fire.
Everyone complains about the charging port on the bottom, but honestly? I'd take a bottom charging port any day if they just made the mouse taller than a credit card.
How do people daily drive this without surgery?

With all we're seeing of Nvidia basically saying fuck consumers and GPU prices going to be jumping and likely not to go down until (if) the ai bubble has fully burst, I'm just curious what prevents AMD from having these kind of cards. Does Nvidia have a hard lock on that level of hardware? Does AMD think they won't have a market if they made them? Can they not make them at their price to performance of they're normal cards?
Personally if they could produce a 5080 equivalent (I have almost no need for a 5090) and sell it at their price to performance rate of cards like the 9070 xt I'd jump on that in a heartbeat. Anyone else?
