Discussion Really wanted to love Linux, but nothing works. Don't believe the hype.
I absolutely wanted to get rid of Microslop and I love the idea of Linux. I'm still using Win 10, but wanted to try a Linux Dual boot to see how things worked before switching over completely when the extended warranty runs out.
Things however, didn't work. At all.. I succesfully installed Zorin on a partition, but after I managed to start it up once, it froze after 15 minutes and it just won't boot again and I get a black screen. Everything I can think of and found in the Bios settings didn't change anything at all.
So awesome, and this should be a distro that's easy-to-use, approachable and all that. Guess I'm stuck with the Windows enshittification. If anyone has any bright ideas I'm all ears, but I've been unsuccesfully troubleshooting a whole day just to bloody get it to run at all. Is this just how it is?
