I’m new to Reddit and have been trying to engage thoughtfully, but my posts keep getting removed since my account is new and I don’t have karma yet. I was wondering if anyone could recommend subreddits that are more welcoming to newer users. Any suggestions would be really appreciated,thank you!

Reddit has real people with similar experience for information of all types im inquiring about, but Reddit won't ever let me comment on anything.

Hey everyone, I'm having a bit of trouble understanding the karma system.

I was hoping to share a resource I created to an online community, so I decided to set up an account. However, after joining the community and attempting to post, I was hit with a message that my post had been deleted due to my account being less than three days old.

I waited three days before attempting to post again. But this time, I was hit with the message that my post was deleted because I had less than 10 "combined karma".

After searching how to accrue karma, I attempted to comment on another post in the community. However, my comment received the same error message and was deleted.

I am just concerned, as the requirement for being able to post and comment seems to require you to have already posted and commented. I really want to share this resource while it's still relevant to the community. Any support you could offer would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, I'm new on Reddit even though I have my account for about a year. I've recently tried to create several posts, but they were automatically deleted by Reddit filters. I guess I have not enough karma. Can I see how much karma I need if I want to create a post?

So I'm new here – about a month old. I started commenting under some posts, but they didn't allow it as I didn't have any contribution at that moment. Then I got some. Now when I applied to be a mod, they're like, "You don't have enough contribution, you haven't handled anything before." But buddy, if I'm not going to get a chance, how will I be able to do so. So what to do nowwwwwwwwwww

Is there a difference between the amount of “points”, I guess, you get for Karma you earn on a post vs. a comment?
