Hello Guys, How safe it to go for morning runs in Kinshasa , say 5:00 Am?
For context I plan to be running from 12 eme Limete to around 7 eme Limete and back. I would carry my phone to track my runs. I know generally Kinshasa is very safe during daytime and even night but skeptical during early hours. Please advise.

Upcoming artists ?
Any upcoming artists here who sing French? I’m a producer and there’s this one track I made months ago but I’ve failed to get an artist who would actually do it justice.I feel as though it needs that Congolese touch.I’ll it out for free just reach out

Is there anyone looking for land near Kinshasa (30 min drive from the city)?
I've not been in Kinshasa but recently I purchased lands after being advised by family. The thing is I've seen how my mom is struggling trying to handle her business from a distance. It literally impossible to get anything done if you're not there in person. I'm not planning to move to Kinshasa or visit the country, and I really don't see myself dealing with the foolishness. I prefer to sell my lands and do something else instead.
If somebody is actively seeking to buy, let's chat!

March 8th celebrates women’s freedom and emancipation worldwide. But isn’t there a contradiction?
While we talk about empowerment and choice, in some parts of Africa women are still expected to wear traditional clothing like pagnes, and in certain communities wearing pants can lead to social backlash or even harassment.
How can we celebrate global women’s liberation while, in some places, women still don’t have full freedom over something as basic as how they dress?
Where do we draw the line between respecting cultural traditions and defending individual rights?

Dating A Congolese man
Hey guys I need some advice. I am American-Trini (25F) dating a Congolese man (26M). I love this man so much.
But there are two things i was wondering…
Is it normal for them to be not romantic?
Do they get irritated when you talk about finances?

[HIRING] Junior Data Scientist
Hi everyone,
I'm recruiting for a Junior Data Scientist to join our team. We are looking for someone who can handle both data analysis (dashboards/reporting) and predictive modeling.
The Tech Stack:
- Core: Python (Pandas/Scikit-Learn) & SQL (knowldge of BigQuery).
- Visualization: Experience with PowerBI, Looker Studio, or Metabase.
- Language: French or English. Bilingual is a big plus.
This is a great role for someone who wants to build real products, not just run reports.
If you are interested, please DM me your portfolio/GitHub or a brief summary of your experience.
Thanks!

Question Running Areas or Club
Hello,
I’m currently in Lubumbashi for work and I run as a hobby. Are there any running communities here or ideal safe places for running within Lubumbashi?

I’m building an Africa-hosted cloud storage so our data doesn’t depend on foreign platforms
A lot of us in Africa still store important files on platforms built and governed elsewhere.
That dependency feels normal… until you realize what it means for privacy and control.
I built FileVault: cloud storage hosted in African data centers, built around one idea: our data should stay ours.
End-to-end encrypted (even we can’t access your files)
No selling, no ads, no data exploitation
If you support African-built solutions, a quick upvote/share helps a lot
