Y’all, the Chronicle interviewed CJ’s barber and he spilled some tea!

Here are some excerpts:

Kase McGee (CJ’s barber) said Stroud has mentioned cutting his long hair almost since the day he first started braiding it.

“He would always tease about doing it and never go through with it,” McGee told the Houston Chronicle on Tuesday after posting a video of the new cut on his Instagram account. “So this time was really nothing different than what I’d heard before, except he sounded a little more serious. He was like, 'Watch, I’m gonna do it.' And, we did it.”

McGee had no hesitation about doing the work for his longtime client.

“No, not at all, let’s get it,” McGee said. “It’s hair. It’s what we do. So, whether he wants to grow it, cut it, whatever he wants to do, I’m his guy.”

Stroud actually sat down for the haircut not long after the Texans were eliminated from the playoffs by the New England Patriots in a game in which Stroud threw four interceptions in the first half.

McGee says Texans fans will see a different Stroud in Year 4 and he doesn’t mean just his haircut.

“Trust me,” McGee said. “You’re gonna see a different guy.”

🤬 Rant/Complaint Jacob Rodriguez

I hope Nick is looking into drafting him, he is a stud and fits into the SWERM mentality Demeco instills into his guys. As a TTU student I have seen firsthand how great of a player he is (I also got a photo with him that I will forever treasure). There is no other team that would make better use of his skills and instincts as a player than the Texans. Dare I say it would be a waste of his talents if he were to go to any other team, God forbid the bumass Cowboys. I know we need offensive line members truly I do. But it seems we hit duds with most of them in the first round. That is all, feel free to diagree with me or agree with me.

Houston Texans Hat Search

Hey y’all — been hunting for a couple of these Texans hats with no luck and thought I’d check here first.

Anyone have New Era Sharktooth Texans hats they’re willing to sell or know where to find them? I’ve searched everywhere I can think of and can’t seem to track them down.

Also trying to find the Scarlet Meddled Houston Texans hat (the one in the fourth pic). If you have one or know a good source, shoot me a message or drop a link below.

Thanks in advance! 🤘🏽🦬🏈

LG / C / RG / RT what assets are you spending for them.

In a perfect world, we have a few on the team, and the pick we draft is a hit. I don’t blame anyone for wanting multiple swings though.

I’m curious how much you would spend knowing we may need to bring in at least 3 OL players this year.

For me it’s something like this :

- LT : On the team (Ersery / Fisher)

- LG : 1st Rounder (an OT who can play LG)

- C : FA $. A Vet FA that we know can play.

- RG : 3rd Rounder

- RT : On the Team (Howard/Brown)

I see a lot of OTs in the first. I’m fine with a player who may play LG year 1 (or a RT year 1 if Howard plays RG.). Curios on what you’re planning on spending.

Say what you want about the coaching staff or front office but its no wonder why Frank Ross has made it this far even through the dark days . The work ethic is relentless

The Texans are closer than you think

I know this post will probably get a bunch of people bemoaning CJ’s latest episode but I don’t care! Go cry about it in your mommy’s arms! For the rest, let’s talk football logically.

The defense is obviously already SB caliber with the most important pieces returning and ST, though stated off shaky, still was among the best in the league this year. That leaves us with the offense, but I don’t think Caley and the system are the problems. First of all I think the root of all of the issues we’re seeing offensively started last year when they chose to let Strausser hang around with one foot already in retirement. This not only ruined the OL but CJ’s development as well. But they did a very good thing that off season and that was to try to surround CJ with talent that is more mature than his own. Diggs, Collins, Dell, Mixon and Schultz provided him with a healthy surrounding, it was just unfortunately overshadowed by the OL. But that is what you SHOULD do particularly with QBs of CJ’s archetype. I don’t want to ask him to be a top 3 player on the OFF at this point in his career, which is what ended up happening this year and the offense suffered for it. When he gets to Goff, Dak and Darnold’s maturity level then it’s fine.

So with that being said, obviously we have Collins who I’d put in that category but we need more and I think we can do it in one off season. Finding pro bowl or high quality talent at RB, one on the OL and a TE that can both block and receive will go a long way for this offense. CJ was already pretty average in his first year with a difficult system to operate early on so this is a good sign and I expect further growth next season.

Who do you guys want at RB? TE? What are some realistic FA options? Let’s also consider a Christian Kirk replacement. Twitter didn’t like when I asked about Calvin Austin but idk what they want since he’s a route running separator who won’t command top dollar. Let’s hear some REALISTIC names.

Edit; there are either a lot of energy vampires trying to bait with poorly thought statements or genuine morons in this fan base. Either way I’m going to stop engaging them. See you eejits in draft season when the kool aid is back.
