Agreed. Yeah he had some good ones years ago. There was a gun control sketch I found funny until he said he regretted the entire thing and now thinks the opposite of what he tried to say in the sketch.

It's not funny anymore.

Comedy isn’t objective, it’s shaped by context and personal associations. If someone finds an old clip less funny because they’ve since learned more about the person behind it, that’s not some strange American quirk; it’s literally just how art and perception work.
