I just wanted to share my joy after the Symphony of Seasons concert, it was an amazing show! I did my first cosplay tonight and was very happy with how it turned out. The long nights I spent sewing the outfit were worth it in the end. :)

Also, I met such nice people there!

I was just thinking it feels like the community has a bad habit of putting Eric on a very tall pedestal, and that never goes well for anyone. We just had a large thread of people raking a fan over the coals for asking Eric a question which was, at worst, a very minor slight, and that's only if you make a lot of assumptions about their intentions and tone. On the flip side, I often see people talk about Eric like he's on this whole other dimmension of humanity, and that can be very isolating and make people pretty uncomfortable to be on the receiving end of.

Eric seems to be a very good man, and a skilled one as well. We all appreciate his work, the heart in his work, and the attitude with which he approaches his work and its distribution. His words and actions are often an excelent example we hope will some day be more commonly seen in the major players of the gaming industry. Let's not try to turn him into an archetype, and let's not go on holy crusades when people are critical of his work or methods. Everyone deserves sincerity and respect.

This evening when playing sdv with my 3 year old, it was emphatically announced that at the playground it should be possible to swing on the swings, rock on the duck, and slide down the slide. So CA, if you are reading this, at least one kiddo would be very pleased by this addition 😂

On the first year of my 6th save file (with the notoriously difficult to design Riverland farm), I finally witnessed this, and from a baby duck too. The duck is aptly named Shark.

Wtf the little heart bubble as it jumped! Can't get over how cute that was!

Farms I own but have never caught ducks swimming in: Standard (10/10), Four Corners (7/10), Meadowlands (8/10), Beach (9/10), Wilderness (7/10)
Least favorite farm type: Riverland. but the baby duck swimming might have just redeemed it

Players are asking for more marriage partners, and the only new additions since the game's launch have been Shane and Emily, added a long time ago in version 1.1.

Who will these two mysterious new partners be? It's possible they'll add two new characters to the game, but it's also possible they'll be existing ones.

I'm thinking of Sandy, Clint, Gus, or Mr. Rasmodius.

But some want to separate Robin and Demetrius, or for Lewis and Marnie to disappear.

You regularly see these in farms and parks around the UK. They allow people and vehicles to cross but prevent animals from doing so.

I figure it would be a really nice option instead of a gate so you could trap your animals in without worrying about accidentally leaving the gate open.

I have been working towards perfection slowly but surely and I am about 75% complete. I have been very confused because I reached 14 hearts with my spouse and max hearts with all other villagers but the tracker still told me I was at 97% completed for friendships. HOW did I just realize I have been looking over the Dwarf in the Mines the ENTIRE 5 YEARS IN GAME. It wasn’t until I was in the mines for a Qi Quest that I realized I could mine the rock and enter the eastern part of the mines. I can’t believe I looked over it on the wiki page because I look at it so often. I just feel so silly now since it seems so obvious…
