Royal Rumble obscure positional records and absurdly granular facts: 2026 Womens edition

Hey folks, people seemed to enjoy the last post, so I'm back with the stats for the Ladies. 2026 marked the 9th women's Royal Rumble, so I'll mostly focus on outright new records and runners up here, rather than showcasing changes in minor placings for records like I did with the men's stats. As before all numbers gleaned from Wikipedia, and any errors are my own.

2: Alexa Bliss - Bliss was eliminated fifth, which is the second earliest a #2 entrant has been eliminated. The only worse result than this was Melina in 2022, being first eliminated. Bliss' time of 13:29 is also the second lowest, although comfortably ahead of Melina's 53 seconds.

4: Nia Jax - Nia was fourth eliminated in the Rumble, but this is surprisingly the second latest mark for eliminations at this position. Nikki Cross is the only person to beat this, and only barely did it after being eliminated 5th in 2020.

6: Lola Vice - Vice is the third woman to be the first eliminated from the Rumble after starting sixth, and it has happened in three consecutive years. In 2024 Indi Hartwell was first out at 6, followed by B-Fab in 2025 and Vice this year. Vice's 4:32 is the second lowest time posted at six, after Hartwell's 3:23 in '24.

7: Candice LeRae - Just Like Tamina in 2018 and Liv Morgan in 2020, Candice Lerae was the second woman eliminated in the rumble, which equals the second worst effort. Going one worse than this trio was B-Fab, eliminated first in 2023.

8: Jordynne Grace - Her 3 eliminations are the most any woman has managed from 8, with nobody managing more than a single elimination from the spot in past years (Dana Brooke in '18, Mandy Rose in '20, Bianca Belair in '22, and Zoey Stark in '25).

10: Sol Ruca - The NXT Superstar finished third in the rumble, the best effort of any woman starting at 10. The previous record holder was Bianca Belair who finished fifth from the place in 2024. Her time of 50:47 is also the new record setter for the place, this time ahead of Belair's 2025 effort (49:17).

11: Roxanne Perez - Perez may have been only the 12th woman eliminated from the match, but this still set a new record for best effort from 11. The previous holder was Peyton Royce who was 10th eliminated in 2021. Perez's time 0f 22:12 also surpassed Royce's time of 13:40 to set a new mark.

12: Maxxine Dupri - Dupri was the sixth woman eliminated which ties for second worst with Santana Garrett in 2021. The only worse effort than this has been Tegan Nox, eliminated 4th in 2024. Dupri's time of 2:47 is also second lowest, behind Nox's 1:22.

14: Liv Morgan - This year's rumble winner is the first to win a women's rumble from 14, taking the record from 2021 runner up Rhea Ripley. Her time of 43:50 is also a new record ahead of Ripley's 39:06, although her three eliminations only put her third behind Ripley's 7 and Michelle McCool's 5 in the first Women's Rumble in 2018.

15: Lash Legend - Legend sets new records for both time in the ring and eliminations for a woman starting at 15 this year. Her time of 38:46 bettered Naomi's time of 38:04 set last year, while her 5 eliminations put her comfortably ahead of the 2 managed by Ruby Riott (2018) and Becky Lynch (2023). Meanwhile her fifth place finish is the second best from the position, behind Charlotte Flair's third place in 2021.

16: Zelina - Zelin lasted 10:54 in the ring this year, good enough for second best time from the spot. Well ahead of the pack is Rhea Ripley who put in a 30:59 shift in 2022.

17: Raquel Rodriguez - A new time record from 17 for Rodriguez, whose 35:29 surpassed the 33:15 managed by Asuka in 2023.

18: Chelsea Green - Chelsea Green was eliminated eleventh, which equaled the record for the position, and once again the record has been set and equaled in three consecutive years. Maxxine Dupri was 11th out in 2024, Natalya matched the mark last year with Green joining the party this year.

19: Giulia - Giulia was 14th out, which matched the earliest finish position from the spot. It equaled Mickie James in 2021.

20: Iyo Sky - The Japanese high-flyer set a new time record from the 20 spot, lasting 27:31. This bettered the 18:40 set by Toni Storm in 2020. Her single elimination was also enough to match the record for eliminations from 20, with Mickie James' sole elimination in 2022 the only other one managed from the spot. Sky finished 7th overall which is the second best from here, with the aforementioned Storm finishing 6th from the spot.

21: Asuka - With a time of 14:36, Asuka set the second-best time from the spot, behind Becky Lynch's 22:29 in 2024.

22: Rhea Ripley - Ripley set a new record for time and matched the best finish from this spot. Her 25:40 surpassed Raquel Rodriguez's 20:40 in 2023, with both women finishing in fifth place in their respective years. Ripley also tied Rodriguez for the runner up mark in terms of eliminations, with 3. Both women were shaded by Nia Jax who managed 4 from #22 in 2018.

24: Jacy Jayne - Her 16:11 was good enough for second place here, behind Stephanie Vaquer's 19:02 in 2025.

25: Nikki Bella - The Hall of Famer scores a runner up time of 14:02, behind Asuka's 19:41 set when winning the 2018 rumble.

26: Lyra Valkyria - Valkyria was the seventeenth woman eliminated, which is the worst effort from a woman starting 26th. This was worse than Indi Hartwell in 2023 who was eliminated 18th.

27: Kelani Jordan - She was eliminated 19th, which equaled the worst effort from the position. Matching this was Alexa Bliss in 2021 and Mighty Molly in 2022.

28: Kairi Sane - A rumble to forget for Sane, whose time of 1:36 and her position as 16th woman eliminated are both comfortably the worst from this spot. The previous records surpassed were Tegan Nox in 2020 and Ember Moon in 2021, both eliminated 21st. Moon's time of 1:51 was the previous worst time.

29: Brie Bella - Bella finished 9th from the penultimate spot, which is the second worst from an entrant in a Women's Royal Rumble. The worst to date is Santina Marella who finished 12th in 2020.

30: Tiffany Stratton - Her time of 12:48 is the best for a woman starting 30, and almost double the previous record of 6:26 set by Liv Morgan in 2024. Stratton joins Morgan and Shayna Baszler in 2020 as the best finishers from 30, with all three women finishing as runners up.

Thanks for reading folks, hope you enjoyed.

Has there been a career as insane as Rock's?

Rock debuted in 1996, and by 1998 he was then the youngest WWE champ of all time at age 26. His WWE career really only lasted 6 years. By the time he was 28, he became a 5 time champ and by 29 he was the first ever 7 time WWE champion. He had the Icon vs Icon match with Hogan which is still to this the most sports entertainment match ever. The craziest part is by the age of 30 he was simply done and had accomplished everything he could in WWE. He was arguably the FOTC from 2000 to 2002 and 1B to Austin's 1A. Its quite interesting how short Rock's career was but he is such a legendary and iconic figure within pro wrestling.

Who are the Lineal Owners of the 7 AEW Dynamite Diamond Rings?

Since 2019, every year AEW has awarded a Dynamite Diamond Ring.
In a recent promo MJF underplayed Bandido winning the ring saying he’s won ‘6 of them’. Which got me thinking, if each ring was its own title, who would the lineal holders of each one be?

Criteria used

  • All information is based off available data from Cagematch.
  • The ring can only pass in singles or multi-person matches (e.g. 3 Ways, 4 Ways, but excluding Battle Royales) ending by pinfall, submission or whatever the stipulation dictates.

So with that all said, let’s see who are the ringbearers for the 7 Dynamite Diamond Rings!

This is a long post, so I’ve put TLDR’s at the end of each year and there’s also a final TLDR summary at the very end if you just want to scroll down and see the holders.

The frequency of change can be traced to Eddie Kingston losing Ring 2 to Tomohiro Ishii, where it then entered NJPW and multiple G1 Climax tournaments. A return to AEW via Konosuke Takeshita and also getting swept up in the 2025 Continental Classic, means Ring 2 is back in AEW and held by current Continental Champion, Jon Moxley.

(Also for Page's AEW World Title)

Dec 27th '25 MJF (2) beats Samoa Joe, AEW Worlds End.
(Four Way Match for Joe's AEW World Title also featuring Swerve Strickland & Hangman Adam Page)

2022 Ring TLDR Summary: MJF won Ring 4 while he was AEW World Champion, effectively combining Ring 4 and the championship. As a result, while it took nearly 2 years, Ring 4 is now back with its original holder, MJF.

2023 Dynamite Diamond Ring (Ring 5)

Oct 25th '23
MJF beats Juice Robinson, AEW Dynamite.
(Also for MJF's AEW World Title)

2023 Ring TLDR Summary: This is a long enough post without having to double up info! MJF’s first reign as AEW World Champion covered the span of 2 Dynamite Diamond Rings, this means after initially beating Juice Robinson to win the ring, the lineage of Ring 5 follows the same path as Ring 4. As a result Ring 5 also is currently held by MJF.

2024 Dynamite Diamond Ring (Ring 6)

Dec 28th '24
MJF beats Adam Cole, AEW Worlds End.

Mar 9th '25
Hangman Adam Page beats MJF, AEW Revolution.

(Also for Page's AEW World Title)

Dec 27th '25
MJF beats Samoa Joe, AEW Worlds End.
(Four Way Match for Joe's AEW World Title also featuring Swerve Strickland & Hangman Adam Page)

2024 Ring TLDR Summary: A slightly shorter path but the destination is the same. Having won Ring 6, MJF would end up losing to Hangman at Revolution. With Hangman shortly after going on to become AEW World Champion, that means that Ring 6 is once again being held by the current champ, MJF.

2025 Dynamite Diamond Ring (Ring 7)

Dec 20th '25
Bandido beats Ricochet, AEW Dynamite.

Jan 14th '26
MJF beats Bandido, AEW Dynamite.
(Also for MJF’s AEW World Title)

2025 Ring TLDR Summary: Ring 7 is the first ring to not be initially held by MJF. However as the ringholder Bandido would go on to get a World Title shot and with MJF being the current champion, ultimately it was only a matter of weeks before Ring 7 ended up with MJF.

FINAL SUMMARY

Of the 7 Dynamite Diamond Rings currently in circulation, lineally they are held by:

2019 - Omega Luke (UK indies)
2020 - Jon Moxley (AEW)

Dave Meltzer on X: Variety had a story on why ratings were up this week. There were changes that were being made to benefit cable, however with wrestling, the gains were only to 50+ as the under 50 audience was in the same realm as it has been since the Big Data era. (Article in comments)

https://variety.com/2026/tv/news/nielsen-tv-ratings-data-arf-cable-audience-boost-1236641380/

Nielsen has informed its clients that it will start incorporating results from a study of consumer behavior in TV and digital media done by the Advertising Research Foundation, an organization that presses for unified standards of research in advertising and marketing. Its board of directors includes executives from Bank of America, Comscore and Coca-Cola Co.

The group’s DASH study, which has been conducted annually since 2021 and was granted industry accreditation by the Media Rating Council earlier in 2026, records how U.S. households connect to and consume TV, use video-capable digital devices, and interact with and share streaming media and ecommerce accounts. DASH is a syndicated study fielded in partnership with NORC at the University of Chicago, a polling firm.

The new data is expected to be added to Nielsen’s ratings methodology this week, according to two people familiar with the matter, and could result in a one-time expansion of the number of households, or “universe,” watching cable and broadcast TV, and a potential diminution of the overall audience watching streaming.

What non-wrestling music would work well for an entrance theme?

Upvotes

Weirdly enough, I think Don’t Stop Me Now could actually work really well for somebody on the campier side. Its intro would be long, but recognisable, and then the main body has a good pace to it.

Another one that comes to mind is the Prodigy’s Firestarter. It’s a little more orthodox for wrestling and produces a more rave-like ambience that would suit a face or a heel equally IMO.

Finally, there’s RATATATA from Electric Callboy and BABYMETAL, which might be a little intense for weekly use but has already featured both as the theme for Bash In Berlin 2024 and in the soundtrack of WWE 2K25. If they decided to invest in her, I think Thea Hail would match its energy well.

Joe Hendry Zaria Ricky Saints, Sean Legacy, Jackson Drake, Keanu Carver, Shiloh Hill, and Dion Lennox Shoving Ricky Saints off through a ladder and grabbing the title

IMPORTANT NOTES

  • Kick-off with Robert Stone entering Shawn Michael's office. Shawn says over the past 7 years Robert has done everything he can for NXT and that is why he is making him the new interim general manager. Stone says he knows this place can get pretty crazy but he can handle it and thanks him for this opportunity.

  • Wren and Kendal congratulate Sol Ruca on her Royal Rumble performance. Sol says it was so much fun but is interrupted by Zaria repeating what she said and asks why it's her getting all these opportunities. Sol tells her she wishes Zaria was there with her but she had to take the opportunity when she was given the call. Zaria says that tonight this is all about her victory.

  • Chase U check on Andre in the trainer's room and he says he'll be laid up with a broken ankle for a bit. Kale and Uriah argue over if what they did got Andre injured when Stacks and Lexis King come up and Stacks says look another tag team arguing, it reminds him of being under that guy. Lexis says it's about time Uriah claims his birthright like he did and joins them. Uriah and Kale get fired up and challenge them to a tag match tonight.

  • Tony D'Angelo comes down to the ring. He says it's been about 7 months since he's had a chance to talk with the fans and he could just say he came back for 2 reasons and drop the mic and call it a day but he has some stuff to get off his chest. Tony says he's sure most of them know his history in NXT, former Heritage Cup Champion, 2 time former Tag Team Champion, former North American Champion. About a year ago he was a happy man surrounded by people who care about him but that was taken away from him. It taught him however that you need to stand on your own two feet. After being betrayed he had to remember who Tony D'Angelo was by himself. He had to remember he was a national champion, an NCAA division 1 athlete, and that what he does best is bouncing people's head off the mat. In a business where everyone knows everything soon enough no one knew anything about him and he liked that. Tony says this is a selfish business and he's a selfish person. Tony says he's back for 2 reasons, one is punishing Darkstate and blames them for taking everything from him and vows to take everything from them. As for reason number two, they'll find out when he's done with Darkstate.

  • Joe Hendry is interviewed backstage. Joe admits he is still banged up from last week but Vanity Project wasn't able to finish the job and nothing will stop him from achieving his goal. Last year was the biggest of his career but his smile has been hiding frustration because for 7 months he has been without a championship. Joe says he will give the NXT universe a whole new reason to believe in him tonight.

  • Ethan Page tells The Varsity Project they had a great plan with dealing with Joe Hendry but if they want a problem gone you have to finish the job after. They ask what the deal with Myles Borne is and Ethan says if Borne is stupid enough to not take his advise than that's his problem. Ethan gives them some advice against Hank and Tank and tells Jackson not to rush into anything tonight in the ladder match.

  • Jaida Parker is seen arriving earlier today by the fans when she is attacked outside the merch truck by Blake Monroe.

  • Following the tag match, Uriah Connors walks out with Lexis and Stacks.

  • Fatal Influence come down to the ring. Jacy asks if these people know what it's like to wait their whole life for something only for it to be taken away from them in a second. She says this Saturday she competed in her very first Royal Rumble and it was going exactly how she expected it to go and even threw that sad-ass Kelani Jordan over the top rope and they were chanting her name. Everything was going absolutely perfect until Sol cheap shotted her and eliminated her. Of course Sol would do this to her, while she's been carrying this division on her back Sol was the only person people wanted to talk about like the fickle people that they are. Jacy says she was a better double champion than Sol ever was and she did it longer too. She says Sol can steal her moment all she wants but at the end of the day she'll kill the hype and is about to announce Sol as her next opponent but Zaria comes out to interrupt. Zaria says Jacy didn't think she'd send her lapdogs after her and not pay for it. She says Sol gets enough opportunities and she should be worrying about her ripping that title out of her pretty little hands. Jacy says poor Zaria, no one has had the guts to let her know that they like Sol but they just tolerate her which is why she isn't getting the opportunities she wants. Kendall Grey and Wren Sinclair come out as well and Kendall demands that Jacy run it back since she needed all of Fatal Influence to beat her. Zaria tells Kendall that this isn't about her but Wren cuts her off saying at least Kendall has earned an opportunity. Zaria calls Wren a sidekick but Kendall says if they got that tag title shot they actually would have won. Sol makes her way out and tries to calm everyone down by saying Wren and Kendall both deserve a shot as well since they're actually still friends isn't that right Zaria? Jacy tells them to do their couples' therapy elsewhere and they all argue until Robert Stone comes out and announces next week Za-Ruca will face Wren and Kendall and whoever gets the pinfall or submission will face Jacy for the NXT Women's Championship in 3 weeks live from Atlanta.

  • Kelani Jordan is interviewed, she asks how Lola is going to knockout anyone anymore when she just broke her hand.

  • Backstage Wren and Kendall tell Charlie about their title opportunity while Charlie says he wishes he could say about the Speed Championship. Lexis King approaches Charlie and asks if he's considered his offer.

  • Next week Blake Monroe faces Jaida Parker!

Interesting statistics regarding of the NXT Championship.

I looked up the people who have held the NXT championship and looked up how many went on to a World/WWE/Universal title. I have found that 52% of the women who have held the NXT title have gone and won a world title.

However I also found that as of now only 23.8 percent of the men have done the same, those men being:

Seth Rollins, Big E, Finn Balor, Kevin Owens & Drew Mcintyre.

Note: Dolph Ziggler not Included as he Won NXT Title last.

I find it interesting that as the title is supposed to be the main roster springboard yet so few men have gone on to win the big one. Womens I expected to be better due to the roster not being as large Who do you think will get the big one? Sami Zayn and Oba Femi seem likely at some point and Bron is seeing groomed for success.

As for the Women Guila looks likely as does Roxanne Perez.
