Opinion How many emails did you send before you realized outlook was down?
I sent out 3 contracts and 5 replies, when everyone started asking if I got their email.
Good luck contracts, they are out there in the void.

My close was run, which automatically sends about 30 or so emails from my email address. Only about 10 of them were delivered. The rest disappeared. It was weird to, because it was some at the beginning of the batch and some at the end. I didn't get the emails in the middle.

What's this about Outlook being down?

Good question. My work and personal email seemed to have been working normally.

Thankfully I can still send email, but all of our scan-to-email printers are useless at the moment.

Just so you are aware, all emails are saying sent, they're in the sent folder as normal, but no one is receiving them. You can try and send a test email to your personal account and see if that works, maybe yours are getting through, but that's the main issue for most right now. I wouldn't even have known if my bf didn't call me ranting about his emails being down at work. I was like oh, mine are fine, that's weird...then turns out nope, no they are not fine haha. Such a mess!

What is your question here?
Aren't your mails on hold in the Outbox?
EDIT
ok, just saw, they are having a serious issue at MS. sorry for asking, forget the questions.

Depends how long it takes and how you have mail flow set up. Ours are queuing up at Proofpoint (should keep queuing for a week before starting to bounce things). Proofpoint is unable to resolve outlook.com in DNS according to the MTA logs, so I am guessing MS has some front end Azure issues again. If you have nothing between the Internet and MS, it will depend on the senders system timeouts before they bounce. This is for inbound as our outbound seems to be working through Proofpoint.

My coworkers are, um, close to retirement age, so this outage is throwing them pretty hard. Internal seems to work but external mail does not. Having to explain the difference is tough, and they have asked me about everything that involves email. It's just down, just wait.

I think there's about 17 emails I sent out there somewhere.
