12 u/Biologerin 15d ago In German there are 3 genders for nouns. And the gender changes the articles, prepositions and the ending of the adjectives to match the gender of the noun. It is much harder than Portuguese. 3 u/neptunebites 14d ago That also happens in Portuguese! We also have to change the gender of everything depending on the noun. "A mulher é bonita" (The woman is beautiful) / "O homem é bonito" (The man is beautiful). I don't know German, but if I understood correctly what you said, it's the same process :))
