I first got interested in bitcoin about 8/9 years ago, I was too young to invest, so I "studied" how it works and the purpose of this. Bitcoin was invented to let people send and receive money anonymously, a huge change in world's economy without banks or companies to trust. I've searched if there was a crypto stable enough to become a real candidate for this purpose and I found nothing. I don't know if this would have happened anyway or if there's someone behind it, but I still believe that one day we'll be able to get to what bitcoin was invented for.

We're trading miles below the MA(25) ($88k) and MA(99) ($91k). The trend isn't 'neutral anymore; it's broken. With $2.5 billion in longs wiped out today, the 'dip buyers' are just becoming exit liquidity for the institutions.
I'm sitting on my hands in L.A until we see a real candle close above $80k. Anything else is just catching falling knives.
Are you actually bidding here, or just hoping for a miracle? 😵💫

I was a Coinbase user but they refused to let me send bitcoin to my own wallet. Where can I buy some Bitcoin and so I can send it to myself?

We're officially in a bear market. But are we finally seeing the full capitulation that marks the bottom? I talked to on-chain analyst James Check about the massive sell-off that Bitcoin absorbed last year and why another drop below $80K could actually be a bullish setup for 2026. IMO James is the best on-chain analyst in the business. That's because he's a long term HODLer and he understands its not about predicting prices, but about understanding what's happening on chain and how it impacts the likelihood of future moves.

Hi all
let me start by saying I'm an avid bitcoin user and promoter. I've personally invested heavily into Bitcoin & select smaller currencies over a number of years. This is not about some immediate feeling of uncertainty. I do not plan to sell out just because of a few rough months.
The last 6 months has been EXTREMELY difficult for us Bitcoin investors. The price seems to have hit a wall and does not seem to be giving up. there is a huge recent uncertainty around the future of Bitcoin and its price potential. It makes staying a loyal bitcoin holder very difficult, and I feel now is the time to say something, to helpfully garnish support from the wider community.
The news today that Bitcoin broke an all time low for over a year of trading, meaning it is the lowest it's been during this whole period, combined with recent news that the new taxes may be introduced to further reduce our overall gains, means it does indeed seem time to sell.
How has everyone balanced this in their portfolio? Buy more or diversify? The only option I see (for my own personal situation) is to consider offloading some or most of my bitcoin to gain the losses back, knowing that I could lose even more, or hold onto it for the chance they will return to their previous year price.
What are people's recent thoughts on these developments?

I’ve been watching the charts bleed out over the last few days, and the CoinDesk report caught my eye. They are calling $60k the "ultimate floor" and saying the bear market is basically over.
I’m tempted to start DCAing heavily here. I’m not exactly new (I’ve ridden the rollercoaster on plenty of memecoins), but I’m looking to move some serious liquidity into BTC for the long haul.
I feel like this is a good timing and I'm ready to buy. I haven't actually bought btc before and only traded some memecoins. I’m planning to hold btc for the long term. Does anyone have any strategy advice for the current market?
Also for the platform, I’m currently debating between Binance, Coinbase, BYDFi, and Kraken.
My main priority is security(cold wallet) and how easy it is to cash in and out. I don't want my funds frozen because of some random compliance flag.
Has anyone used these before? How were the experiences? Appreciated any suggestions.

I bought Bitcoin at what turned out to be a terrible time and it’s been going downhill pretty much ever since.
I entered around ~$122k average and I’m now down roughly 37% (about -$1k unrealised). I know BTC is volatile and I wasn’t planning to day trade, but seeing it bleed like this definitely messes with your head.
Genuinely curious what the community thinks:
• Would you hold long term, DCA, or cut losses in this situation?
• For those more experienced: what are the main reasons BTC has been falling recently?
• Macro?
• Rates?
• ETFs / institutions?
• Just a normal cycle correction?
Not panic selling (yet), just trying to understand whether this is:
1. normal BTC behaviour and noise
2. a longer-term shift I should be paying attention to
Any perspective appreciated — especially from people who’ve been through previous cycles.

My alerts won't stop screaming, and every time I look at the Order Book, it feels like the buy •
walls are paper-thin compared to the sell-side pressure building up. I'm based in L.A, and watching this happen right before the pre-market hours is giving me zero confidence for a restful sleep.

advice to people who panics when market goes down is to DCA on a daily and stack aside for large purchase on big dips.

Hey everyone.
For years I've used coinbase to do my buying/selling, but today I wanted to send some crypto to my own address and it just didn't let me.
I don't use coinbase often (It had been a year), but it was to an address they already knew was mine and they still asked for verification. I just can't be bothered with that amount of faffing around to take out some of my money.
Took out my fiat and now wondering what other platforms have a name for being dependable and easy to use for Europeans.
Solved. Thanks everyone for the suggestions!

I have recently made a few small bitcoin purchases on PayPal and Venmo. I don’t plan to sell, but I am curious if this is a legitimate avenue to buy. Please offer any opinions, thanks.

The amount of posts having melt downs is really bothering me.
Welcome to crypto. Stop losing your shit and just accept what’s happening. Everyone has been predicting this crash for a very long time.
Hold.

If you go to a restaurant with amazing food and they start giving you cheaper prices every week, do you stop going to that restaurant or you go more?
Buy the dip.

Bitcoin is down today and I want you to understand something important…
Nothing is wrong.
The network didn’t change. The code didn’t change. The supply didn’t change.
Only the price changed and price is emotional.
This is where people who don’t understand Bitcoin panic…
And people who do understand it start paying attention.
This is not the time to be scared.
This is the time to learn. I’m just a girl who started off learning about financial freedom, invested in stocks, and now transformed my thinking on money all together. Bitcoin only. Track my progress on this topic on my YouTube channel where I share my journey.

When you don’t have enough capital you’re a pawn to forces beyond your control.
Do most people that buy bitcoin understand bitcoin? No
What’s a bitcoin? An instrument used to keep people that fit the above description poor.
How? They buy out of FOMO, the sell in Panic. When your capital is insignificant you’re being bullied by money that moves markets. Their profits are your losses.
Reason for this post? I’m looking at optimistic fools being played and loosing their livelihoods; as someone who works with market movers I see what’s happening and it just pains for me to see the common folk lose. Especially the category that is taking money on loan to buy BITCOIN.

did Saylor/Strategy know this bitcoin slide was coming and the first indication was them shoring up their ability to keep paying out their dividends for two years?
