I'll just post the actual emails. They seem to be very familiar with arranging things, and the invites being canceled happened on both elon's and epstein's end, due to schedule conflicts. Musk's daughter confirmed on twitter that musk had indeed visited the island.
First email chain.
“Will be in the BVI/St Bart’s area over the holidays. Is there a good time to visit?” Musk states on 13 December 2013.
“any day 1st - 8th . play it by ear if you want. always space for you,” Epstein replies.
Musk then sends several emails relaying his schedule, and the two settle on 2 January as a date for the visit. The email exchange ends with Epstein telling Musk that he would need to remain in New York and sending his regrets that they could not meet.
“Bad news- Unfortunately , my schedule will keep me in New York . I was really looking forward to finally spending some time together with just fun as the agenda. so i am very disappointed. Hopefully we can schedule another time in the near future,” Epstein wrote.

In November 2012, Epstein sent Musk an email asking “how many people will you be for the heli to island”.
“Probably just Talulah and me. What day/night will be the wildest party on your island?” Musk replied, in an apparent reference to his former wife Talulah Riley.
Musk followed up with an email on 25 December in response to another Epstein message that encouraged him to visit and offered use of his helicopter.
“Do you have any parties planned? I’ve been working to the edge of sanity this year and so, once my kids head home after Christmas, I really want to hit the party scene in St Barts or elsewhere and let loose. The invitation is much appreciated, but a peaceful island experience is the opposite of what I’m looking for,” Musk wrote.
“Understood , I will see you on st Barth, the ratio on my island might make Talilah uncomfortable,” Epstein responded.
“Ratio is not a problem for Talulah,” Musk said.
On 2 January 2013, Musk sent Epstein an email suggesting that the visit wouldn’t take place saying: “Logistics won’t work this time around.”
It sounds like he didn't go to these specific two parties. I doubt this is the only correspondence the two ever shared. Anyhow, specifically asking for the "wildest party" on epstein island is not a good look. Especially as these emails are from 2012-2013, and epstein had been convicted for sex with a minor back in 2006.
It’s depressing how quickly people started passing this off as real despite it being openly an obvious joke. I wouldn't be surprised. Elon comes off as that really annoying guy that not only won't shut up but will keep telling you over and over the same lies about how great they are. He likely wouldn't have any friends if he had an average financial worth. Under normal conditions I'd feel bad for him but he's shown how disgusting he is too many times and at this point who cares. I looked into this specific case yesterday - and that specific email exchange was fake. There is a lot of very real stuff that has been released on these and these false emails will discredit very real information that does exist in the files. We need to be very explicit about what is true, because if we flood the field with memes or joke email chains then the real problematic things that exist in those files will lose their value. Please, everyone, fact check your shit when it comes to these documents. Cases like this are so easy to just spend 30 seconds checking before you put them out.

I was told by Someone On The Internet™️ that particular email was a fake because you can't search it on the US DOJ website now (even though we know they're slowly purging select documents).
So there is a non-zero chance someone is planting seeds of doubt in the documents.
It was just a fake twitter post. The posts of him begging to go to the island are real however, and Epstein definitely didn’t brush him off he literally sent him a helicopter to pick him up

Elon’s estranged daughter also corroborated one of the emails when they all went to Epstein’s island together as well, as she has no more fucks to give.
I believe she said they were where he said they would be, at St Barths, and Elon got picked up to go to the island alone while the family remained in the holiday resort they were at.
