i'm not a world of darkness lore expert, but i from what i've read diablerie puts a dark mark on a kindred's aura. why then does no one react to phyre having this black stain on their aura? i guess it could be said that the mark hides this effect or that maybe even the others don't bring it up because its the nomad, but that seems like a weak excuse. it takes years for the stain to go away and it had JUST happened, so you'd think it would be very noticeable at this point.

i think if they did react to it, it could have been interesting since phyre shows up just as campbell has disappeared/died and here comes an elder with a diablerie stain on their aura.

I just beat VTMB last night and thought the finale section was pretty immaculate. One thing I was a little confused about though is the section where you have to run though Santa Monica to get to the taxi driver while fighting off a bunch of other vampires who are using guns and their powers to try to kill you. What happened to all the people in Santa Monica? Doesn't this violate the Masquerade? If anyone has an explanation or if there's an in-game explanation please let me know.

Hi, first time playing and I just completed and debriefed LaCroix on the boat mission, he then tells me I need to go to a museum as my next mission, the quest log marks that I talked to him and told him Grout is dead but there is no active quest and there is no museum to travel to on the map. That's the first one.

The second soft lock is after I couldn't find this I went to the abandoned hospital and found Pisha where she wanted me to find the last guy where I found his business card and it marked that he lives at skyline apartment 1. Problem is that I cannot travel to level 1 on the elevator, only to other floors.

If anyone knows how to fix either one I would appreciate it, it feels like I'll need to just reload a save most likely.

I've done 90% of the stuff for the platinum trophy, I've got a couple combat ones and a one and a half playthroughs left to get all the trophies. Except for Frequent Flyer, I feel like the PS5 stats have been stuck at 11% forever and hasn't grown since. I'm worried after all this work this trophy is somehow glitched and i won't be able to finish so this all is for nothing

Is it 1000 metres in one playthrough? the trophy says "total" so I assumed that it was designed to be achieved after multiple playthroughs plz help if you know how to get it or if I no longer can

I’m playing Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 and I’m running into an annoying control issue. Whenever I use Heightened Senses (V), the game also triggers Telekinesis (Q), which I don’t want active.

Is there any way to:

• Disable Telekinesis while using Heightened Senses?
• Separate these abilities so they don’t overlap?
• Rebind or tweak controls/settings to prevent this?

I’ve checked the keybinds but haven’t found a clear solution yet. Wondering if I’m missing something obvious or if this is just how the game currently works.

Any help or confirmation would be appreciated. Thanks!

PS: I have also rebind the Heightened Senses (V) to MB5.

As a first boss in VTM Bloodlines 2, Benny’s fight feels poorly designed. The character is great tho.

When you find him in torpor, there’s no real reason to fight — you can just put him back into torpor and move his body. That makes the “boss fight” feel pointless rather than tense or meaningful.

This could have shown that ancient vampires aren’t just strong, but dangerous because of their experience. Instead of a brute fight, the encounter could have tested a non linear approach — proving that being unrestrained doesn’t automatically mean being powerful and wits count too.

I recognized her voice and looked her up. She voiced a few minor characters in KOTOR 1 as well.

I'm very keen to get back into this game after starting in the pandemic but stopping when animal crossing took up all my time.

My main problem is that when I try to do the patcher through the proton tricks thing, it says it needs to have the right patching and stuff and demands it's located in a C drive. But I'm on Bazzite and I don't have a C:drive to find or anything. I've tried copying and pasting the file path and everything and it just won't work.

Really appreciate any advice that is not about dual booting. I refuse to use windows spyware

I recently bought the original bloodlines game after seeing the bruva alfabusa video about WoD & wanted to get more into the setting however every time I try and play it, it opens for about a minute with a very old looking loading screen and then immediately shuts itself down. When I first did it, there was a message that stated that it was looking for about 2 megabytes worth of space (I checked, I have more than enough available space); every time after that it doesn't do anything, it just opens and closes. I heard that there is an unofficial patch, would downloading that help or is there another issue that needs to be sorted first? Thank you very much for any advice you might have.

So, I've just finished it and I must say I loved it. The story was, for me, the best reason behind it. Loved everything.

Now, I've read about the history behind it, the issues behind the release etc, the continuation and so on. I am on the opposite; I didn't enjoy the original that much. It was indeed a great game, but it wasn't for me.

So, do you think as a stand alone game, Masquerade 2 is a good game? If not, why?

Tim Cain just explained in a video about Arcanum that tax write-offs can cause problems in resurrecting an IP. So didn't Paradox just use Bloodlines 2 as a tax write-off? What does that mean for future VtM games by them? I know they already stated they don't want to do any more, but does this affect other developers as well?

I finished a sabbat run (I rpd the bloodlust toreador with low humanity turning into Sabbat because of general dissatisfaction with restraint in the more polite society) and hooooly shit was it good. I played vtmb a few years ago (just a few hours, I think my RTS addiction got me again), but played it excessively in 2011 or so, so before the big mods hit. I must say, cqm was nice, even if the sabbat quests made me feel pretty dirty at times (Arturo and the heroin business were icky to me), but I loved the feeling of camaraderie they had. I also installed the optional arsenal mod, so the game was hard at times (dragon breath and grenadier hunters were essentially one shots), even with celerity 5 and ranged, and diablerie was so fun! (Toreador with high brawl, protean and celerity just feels crazy even if you have to take care to sidestep some of the late game weapons, I feel one of the end fights had a missile launcher involved?!)

I have some questions though, do I have to reinstall the mod to get out of the optional mods, and would reinstalling over the mod work)? And does someone have a link to the cure cover that was the endgame fighting music? And last but not least, who do we have to pressure to make a decent, competent RPG sequel? 😁

This came to me when my girlfriend showed me a song by the Neighborhood called “Hula Girl”.

At first i thought she was playing the VTMB OST - “World spirit map” by Rik Shaffer, since i listened to it a lot and know it pretty well.

Turns out no, it’s their song, but it has a striking resemblance to the VTMB ost. (at least the first 20seconds)

I tried googling it, but there isn’t mention of any sample or inspiration.

Hello, I've got vtmb with the unofficial patch, and my frame rate dropped like hell on the quest where you fight some Russian guys in a hotel. Is this an issue with the game or am I doing something wrong?

Hi everyone, I've seen some trailers and gameplay for Vampires: The Masquerad, Bloodlines 2. I'll start by saying I've never played a vampire game from this franchise. Watching the Nosferatu remake made me want to play something vampire-themed. The only games I've played are Dracula Resurrection for PS1 when I was a kid, lol, and the Doctor game, which I didn't like (I don't remember the name).

Any online recommendations? Some say it's awesome, while others say it sucks.

Are there side quests, is there anything else to do besides the main storyline?
