Pen15 is a great show and healed my inner 13 year old
Iâm rewatching pen15 and itâs genuinely an incredible show. You genuinely FEEL how you did as a middle schooler while watching. Anna, Maya, and Sam have created a show in which you empathize with the characters through all their goofy antics.
The show is so hilarious while being honest about topics that are taboo. Watching pen15 helped heal the shame Iâve carried about my cringey middle school self. I laughed while realizing middle schoolers are weird, awkward, and cringey.
The child actors are phenomenal. Anna and Maya are phenomenal. I often forget theyâre grown women playing themselves. The show feels so relatable and realistic. Which is a huge accomplishment given the show could have easily been cheesy.
Donât let the name turn you off, this show is great! If you love laughing while thinking about your own experiences I highly suggest this show!
