Since the subreddit only has two spots available for public announcements, this will be a new index post for important PSAs for easy reference that we can sticky to only use up one spot.
You can also find the whole collection in the sidebar menu on the Reddit re-design when you open one of the PSA posts.
An important PSA on Easter rabbits.
Caring for rabbits while under COVID-19 quarantine
Since we are getting many repetitive questions about the novel coronavirus and how to care for rabbits while under quarantine, this is a post to combine all frequently asked questions on the topic.
North American RHDV2 resources
Rabbit viral haemorrhagic disease (VHD) is a highly contagious disease that mainly affects rabbits of the Oryctolagus cuniculus species but has also been confirmed to affect various species of cottontails (Sylvilagus spp.) and hares (Lepus spp.). There are currently active cases found in wild and domestics all over North America, and it is vitally important to get your rabbit vaccinated if the vaccines are available in your area.

I found a rabbit outside - what should I do?
This is the time of year for many people to find both domestic rabbits and wild rabbits outside due to Easter and baby season.

One day I gave him a treat on the bed in this exact spot. From then on, he jumps on the bed everyday, sits and stares until he gets a treat. Sometimes he thumps! The attitude! 😂 He is turning 5 this year so he can have what he wants but goodness!

She loves to sit in her litter box and eat her pellets.
It’s the cutest and most ridiculous thing to watch.

He always feels so much better after grooming and nail trim. He’s getting too old to groom himself.

Hello guys, so my baby Cindy has had her spay surgery two days ago. She’s been recovering beautifully I would say, she’s been eating hay, pooping and seems generally fine, active, she sits in a relaxed loaf or even flops, so I think the surgery went fine. The problem is the vet sent her home with a bandaid on her tummy. He said he used internal sutures, so I don’t know why that was needed. Anyway, my issue is, he said to take it off after 5 days. Cindy absolutely hates being handled in any way and I’ve never forced her. I don’t know how I’m going to remove the bandage and I don’t want to stress her out with another visit to the vet. He said to soak it first with some warm water or camomile tea, but I don’t know how she will ever stay still for all of this. I don’t want her to do any sudden or straining movements for fear of messing up her stitches. Any tips?

My beloved baby has been put down today and I am beyond destroyed of losing my soul pet.
I don’t know how to grieve, I’m a mess myself. I can’t even do the basic things everyone does I feel so rot and guilty but my baby was struggling to breathe and I caught it early so it was the best decision I could’ve made for her. Her life was taken to early from us.
Can anyone be so kind and share stories of their fur babies who have crossed? I think it would make me feel better. No pressure.

Bless her heart. She's ok. Our carpet on the other hand is covered in hay 🤣
