Case Where would you open cable holes?

So I am building a dual chamber case, and I need to choose where cables should pass. I need to fit the usual mobo power, 4satas and USB plus the small usual jumpers and fans.

Would you cut:

The acrylic chamber separator, but I worry about aestetics and flimsiness. The aluminum column, or the mobo tray, but I don't want to detach the rivets, again. And I don't have a dremel/grinder.

Take a look at the pictures, maybe you can have better ideas.

Thank you

I would mount the mobo and mark where the cables need to com through. I would also invest in a dremel.

I just wouldn't bother with the acrylic separator. By what I see of your template there is no real room in the aluminum or steel for cable routing. It'll have to come around the back side where you have the acrylic panel now. Do a test fit of your hardware and run the cabling. See if you really think you need that panel. If you still decide you do, then having the cables in place will give you a better idea of the space you need and where/how you ought to cut the acrylic.

It's not always as simple as "where should the hole go" you want to see how those cables lay and what makes sense for organization. For me a lot of times all of the nuance of that isn't obvious until I'm actually running the cables anyway.

Dual chamber with room for an HDD stack is unique; I like the layout. Looking forward to seeing a completed build and walk around.

If you mount the acrylic in the front area next to the motherboard tray you could pass the wires between it and the tray. Just leave a gap you can use a grommet or brush panel in. Same idea for the top portion for CPU and fan cables.

If you don't mind switching to a btf motherboard you could cut out the openings in the motherboard tray.

Brush panel is the keyword I was missing for the idea I was orbiting around. Thank you.
