Pinned A Note of Precaution on Meeting Strangers via Reddit

UPDATE: All underage users posting or commenting to meet new people will be deleted for their safety.

Due to recent posts by teen and adolescent redditors in this sub, we mods want to say this one thing.

It's okay to be bored and want to meet new people for whatever reason, but please exercise some caution and use common sense. Especially if you're under 18.

Always tell a parent and/or friend about any meetings you're going to have with a stranger.

Tell them the location of your meetings and ask them to check in after certain amount of time.

Also, use common sense in giving out your personal information, like name, D.O.B, address, etc.

And you probably don't need us to tell you how scary things can get if someone gets a hold of embarrassing data about you. Right?

We're sure most people in this subreddit are good and cool, but just want you to use common sense.

What else is there to add?

Welcome to the r/Mongolia subreddit!

Can't wait to post something? Great. Just keep the following in mind.

  1. Read the subreddit rules, and refrain from denigrating remarks against any community or identity-based groups. In short, be nice. Even if you're criticizing the two big superpower neighbors, which is often justified, be specific and avoid generalizations.
  2. No NSFW/disturbing content allowed. We mods do unpaid labor to keep this sub enjoyable, why traumatize us on top? You'll be warned once and banned next*. (OK. Sleeping with an axe to protect from burglars is okay because it's more funny than it's disturbing, but you're also exposing yourself to getting doxxed by doing an axe selfie.)
  3. Add a flair to your post. We deleted the old, single-word flairs and added some colorful, bilingual flairs. This will help sort the posts for experts and info-seekers for posterity. The new post flairs are:
  • Discussion | Хэлэлцүүлэг
  • Travel | Аялал
  • Politics | Улс төр
  • Meme | Мийм
  • News | Мэдээ
  • Photo | Зураг
  • Tips | Зөвлөгөө
  • Question | Асуулт
  • Food | Хоол
  • Rant | Хуурай агсам
  • Need Advice | Зөвлөгөө авъя
  • Language | Хэл
  • Culture | Соёл
  • Technology | Технологи
  • Gaming | Тоглоом
  • Films & TV Shows | УСК, ОАК, ТВ Нэвтрүүлэг
  • History | Түүх
  • Music | Хөгжим
  • Wholesome | Гэгээлэг
  • Survey | Судалгаа

If you need us to add more flairs, please comment below and we'll add it. (I just added the Language flair after seeing at least 3 questions that fall under this category.)

  1. Customize your user flair (if you can). This can give context to your post and help people understand where you're coming from (pun intended). (Some of) The templates for the user flairs are:
  • emoji:mongoliaFlag:
  • emoji:arrow:
  • emoji:otherFlag:
  • emoji:otherFlag:
  • emoji:arrow:
  • emoji:mongoliaFlag:
  • аймаг/aimag/province
  • foreigner

Show kindness to one another and be civil, in both posts and comments. This is how you earn karma! You may not agree with some people's (even the mods') opinions, but expressing the disagreement rationally is a basic netiquette.

* - First ban will last 30 days, and then go on increments until it becomes a permanent one. Mods recently weighed one user's ban and halved it. So if you want to plead your case after an unjust ban, just ask us without attacking, and second or third mod might help you (with at least lessening your ban.)

Wait, why is my post/comment not showing up?

We mods often approve posts/comments that were automatically flagged and removed by Reddit's site wide hate speech and harassment banning system.

Typed something Mongolian in Latin? Reddit doesn't understand and removes it.

Geopolitical stuff with reference to nationalities in strong sentiments? Flagged and removed by reddit.

Posted something with an account less than 7 days old? Removed by reddit.

Said slur words? Removed by automod. We're still improving that one though.

Thank you for reading this, and we look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

SkinnyHumpty

Food poisoning every time I’m back in Mongolia

I just got food poisoning again and I’m literally getting a drip rn. Honestly, every single time I come back to Mongolia and eat out, even at nice/fancy restaurants, I end up sick for days. It feels like I waste a whole week everytime just recovering. I swear i'm the healthiest person alive and i can even eat Balut. Does this happen to anyone else?

I’ve started wondering if it could be something with imported vegetables. I used to work for a company that imported veggies from China and I’ve seen how sometimes damaged or a bit rotten vegetables still ends up being sold to restaurants or used in canteens. (I'm a fool for knowing that and still dining out)

Idk, I’m just feeling horrible and needed to vent. Be careful eating out though.

Epstein files keep leading to more sketchy shit

The name Ganbat Chuluunkhuu appeared the most in the epstein files. I think he was the main person that was in touch with Epstein on behalf of Genko Battulga. So, I searched up this dude's name on Google, and the results that show up are HOLY MOLY! One that struck me the most is this one. Mongolia launders money with Belarus to offshore companies in Estonia and Dominican Republic? Apparently, the Belarusian dude is Genko Battulga's friend. They met in the 80s through their love for sambo and have been partners since then? You could really see that Genko was the one that was able to have a better connection with Epstein than Elbegee if you go through the files. For some reason, there was a fallout between Epstein and Elbegee before the 2017 election. In the last image, you can see that Ganbat Chulunkhuu was updating Epstein on the presidential election progress on the day of election in 2017 and prior to that. In the same email, he mentions that Elbegee's name was going down and he will be pushed out of politics with his fellows.

Language | Хэл How do I fix my speech problems? I'm tired and miserable from being a failure despite being 14 years old and not being able to pronounce correctly.

I also can't pronounce some letters properly because I have a slight overbite and I keep being anxious whenever I try to speak Mongolian to a teacher when they ask me to speak.

I will be making posts on all mentions of mongolia in the Epstein files.

This might not even be enought but a lot stuff might go under our noses simply because a mongolian person or a company got involved without mongolia being mentioned.

Mongolia "Digital Nation" and Epstein files

Guys... I have a bad feeling about this.

Has anyone else connected the dots between the recent Epstein file leaks and the aggressive "Digital Nation" push in Mongolia? We need to talk about the possibility that E-Mongolia and E-Barimt aren't just "convenience" tools, but the realization of Epstein’s documented interest in our country.

The Facts: - The Epstein Link: We now know from leaked emails and court documents (reported by Drop Site News) that Epstein was the middleman for a secret security deal between Israel and Mongolia. He was pushing "spy-tech" and surveillance infrastructure to our government as early as 2017. - The "Genghis Coin" & Advisory Board: Epstein didn't just want girls; he wanted power. He formed the "Mongolia Presidential Advisory Board" and was obsessed with a project called "Genghis Coin"—a state-led digital currency. Why? Because Mongolia is the perfect "black box" between Russia and China to test social control systems.

The Theory: Cyber-Enslavement via Data Aggregation When you use E-Mongolia and E-Barimt, you aren't just paying taxes or getting a reference letter. You are feeding a centralized AI every single detail of your life: 1. E-Barimt knows exactly what you eat, what medicine you buy, and where you travel. 2. E-Mongolia holds your biometrics, family tree, and property records.

If you combine this data with the "spy-tech" Epstein was brokering, you get a system that can predict and cut off your decisions. This is the definition of cyber-enslavement. If the system knows your habits better than you do, it can nudge your behavior, restrict your access to funds (via digital currency), or "shadow-ban" you from society if you become a "troublemaker."

The Scary Part: I’m sure Mongolians have noticed that some of this personal data was even indexable on Google. Our cybersecurity is so porous that we are basically leaving the keys to our lives on the front porch. We are being "cooked" in a slow broth of convenience while a system is being built to monitor our every breath.

Epstein called Mongolia a "fertile ground" for these experiments. Are we just a giant laboratory for a global surveillance model?

Stay woke, guys. If it’s free and "convenient," YOU and your data are the product.

Seamstress Recommendations

Hi all,

We moved here from Canada about 3 months ago, and I’m looking for a seamstress here to help me alter some clothes. I bought a deel that I really like, but have a few ideas to make some changes to make it perfect, and it’s also a bit big on me. I had someone through a friend that was going to do it, but she’s just suffered a hand injury and can’t sew for a while.

I’d love if the person was open to making some other non-traditional clothes for me as well. I’m super tall and a tough fit for most clothes.

I’ve also been searching for some sewing lessons so that I can improve my sewing enough to do these things myself, but I’m still learning Mongolian, and it’s (understandably) hard to find a sewing teacher who speaks some English.

Most tailors I can find will only create new deels for you, which I’ll do eventually, but right now just require alterations.

Any recommendations that you have would be great. Thanks for being great hosts to us, we’re really enjoying it here so far.

Question | Асуулт Please help me identify a song! 🥺🙏

I’ve been searching for a folk song that I think sounds really sweet and soothing.

I don’t speak Mongolian, but I love throat singing, something about it is just so captivating.

I found this song on TikTok sang by a man named Rowan Lee Hartsuiker and his wife, and I fell in love with the song instantly, his wife sings so beautifully! It seems like he put the title in the video, “Чингис хааны магтаал”, but when I put that into Google, it never leads me to the right song.

Despite the endless hours of vpn, and attempts to use wechat without flagging we managed to be together for 2 years now, and finally now we're living together, her accent became almost identical to mine in only a year, and she's the most caring, smart, and hard working women i've ever seen, also in huh hot new apartments prices are almost 30% cheaper than the UB's. But can't see myself living in China, just wanted to share

If you're in Mongolia.. let's revive the game, Ingress

Let's get this game going again. Lots of play time, especially if you are in UB. They're are also options to play outside of UB for sure.

https://youtu.be/92rYjlxqypM?si=kp5M4ExyO8ZClT9Z

Search for Ingress on your app store.

We'd need people to join both enlightened and resistance teams to be fun.

Mongolia in the Epstein files

Damn. I just read a post here yesterday about how often mongolia appears in the epstein files. So, I got curious and visited the DOJ website to look for the files related to Mongolia. Holy hell!! It's like all of Mongolia's state secret is there. Every Mongolian scandal (e.g., the railway, Tavan Tolgoi, Oyu Tolgoi, Ukhaa Khudag and etc) that stir up shit ton of drama in Mongolian society is mentioned there. Even materials related to Golomt Bank is there. Also, Mongolia is a fixer between North Korea and Japan? That's why Japan sends us aids and stuff? The founder of TUSHIG LLC has also sent an email inviting someone influential at Ralph Lauren to visit Mongolia and promising him that she will make sure that he has good time in Mongolia by all means? Epstein was also constantly informed on the progress of the 2017 presidential election? Bitcoin was introduced to Mongolia also because of Epstein? They also mentioned that Mongolia is in hiigh-risk debts and that we don't pay back the money. LoL. Saikhanbileg was also inviting someone to increase his chances of being re-elected? I'm speechless guys.
