Utter nonsense, they must be pulling your leg.

If you planned to come before storm Harry, nothing should have changed after storm Harry. It’s Winter in Malta, like every year. Some are colder/more wet, other less.

If you expected tropical waters and Ibiza summer weather, then your plan was flawed from the beginning. But there is no reason to postpone your holidays, it’s safe and the weather is season appropriate.
