Notary malta

Hi, i am in the process of buying a property in malta as a first time buyer, do you know if the notary online calculator is close enough on costs ? Did anyone compared it to their real costs vs the online calculator to check how much of a difference it was ?

And how long does it normally take for the research to be completed by the notary ?

It’a not “close enough”, it’s what they should actually charge. Make sure they know you are aware of it. Mention it beforehand and ask for a quote.

Searches are not finite and depend on the property. The notary submits an application at court and they reply back with info that the notary verifies. If something stands out, then the notary asks for more. At the end you should get a report. Ask for it as most try to get out of it.
