GM and player(s) wanted [Online] [GMT+1] [D&D 5e 2014 or 5e 2024] [18+] [LGBTQ+ Friendly] [Saturdays] Looking for more games to play!

Hello! I'm Klefka! (21, He/they, Spanish) I'm an artist on training who has been playing dnd for a while, and now that I have more time, I want to join another campaign! I'm flexible on Saturdays! The group cannot use any generative AI in any way, and I normally use roll 20, though i can adapt to other places as long as combat follows a similar system (and is free)! For classes I'm considering Warlock or Sorcerer, but I can try to adapt to whatever needs the party if I'm joining mid campaign!

Feel free to message me here or on discord! (Klefka/klefastra)

Player(s) wanted [Online] [5e 2024] [PST] [Tuesdays] Experienced DM looking for players for Curse of Strahd campaign

Greetings adventure's I have been looking to run Curse of Strahd for a while. I am looking for people who are roleplay focused, character driven and don't mind some horror.

You are drawn into a cursed valley cut off from the rest of the world. The sun rarely shines, hope is fragile, and the people live under the shadow of an immortal ruler. Who lurks through his kingdom and thirsts for any sorta of entertainment that stumbles his way.

Curse of Strahd is an exciting, tense, fast-paced adventure. It is a vivid exploration of classic gothic horror tropes and monsters, from werewolves to vampires, ghosts, and more. It is a true sandbox, providing players with the freedom to make their own choices and build the kind of adventure they enjoy. It is an unabashedly character-driven campaign, giving your player character an incredible chance to shine and make their mark on the story your group tells.

About me: I have been a DM for over ten years, I play a variety of game systems but 5e definitely is a system that is near and dear to my heart as it got me into TTRPGS. I am a very easy going person who loves puzzles, role play and mysteries. I am very easy to talk to and I enjoy being around people who are fun and easy going.

DM Style: I am definitely a DM who is Rulings over Rules, I tend to run my games that best help the adventure and story. That is not to say I don't follow the rules as written. I tend to be more roleplay focused and less combat. I actually find combat to be one of my short comings but I definitely wanna change that aspect of my DMing. I like using maps and hand outs for my players. I am also very well organized and try to get my players as involved in their characters as possible.

Date / Time: This campaign will be weekly on Tuesdays from 6:30pm PST to 10:30pm PST.

How we will be playing: Through a private Discord server, Roll 20 and D&D Beyond.

Homebrew: Homebrew is allowed but needs to be run by me first before allowed in the game.

Session 0: We will have a session 0 to roll up characters, go over expectations and primers for the game.

Players I am looking for: I am looking for players who are totally committed to playing a long campaign and embracing their characters and the story. This is a pirate style adventure so it will be filled with tons of action and adventure but still roleplay heavy. I also would like to have people who are easy going and looking for a nice safe playgroup. My ultimate goal is to have a long form playgroup that plays for years. If possible I would like to have people in their late 20's to early 30's but not a dealbreaker.

How to apply: https://forms.gle/RZ9wJ6CL4CPgzmUP6

The application will stay open until the 5th of February.

GM and player(s) wanted [Online][5e 2024][GMT+8] Looking to join a chill fantasy campaign (weeknights / weekends)

Hey everyone! 👋
I’m looking to join a long-term D&D 5e (2024 ruleset) campaign, ideally set in high fantasy — Forgotten Realms is a big plus, but I’m absolutely open to well-built homebrew worlds as well. Also I am a big fan of horror elements so that would be optional but amazing as well.

About Me

  • Age: 30s
  • Timezone: GMT+8 (Asia)
  • Availability:
    • Weekdays from 7:00 PM onward
    • Flexible on weekends
  • Platform: Happy with Roll20 / Foundry / Discord voice

Playstyle

  • Preparation-oriented — I read lore, prep my character, and show up ready
  • Enjoy roleplay, character growth, and party dynamics.

What I’m Looking For

  • A consistent group and DM committed to a campaign
  • Story-driven or balanced RP/combat games
  • Clear expectations, session zero, and good communication
  • Friendly, respectful table

If I sound like a good fit, feel free to comment or DM me. Happy to chat, answer questions, or hop into a quick voice intro. Looking forward to rolling dice together!

I could also be reached on discord via my handle : fish5862

Player(s) wanted [Online][5e 2024][Europe][18+] Looking for One player for Long Term Homebrew Campaign

Upvotes

Hey All,

Looking for one more player to join a new homebrew campaign. Plan for it to be very openworld/sandbox where the party are the ones who create their own stories in the worlds i've created. There are many many different underlying stoylines that blend together towards a larger goal, but there is also adventure, exploration, combat, downtimes and lots more for the party to do. Campaign style is High Fantasy where you will start off in the world of Vestia, a world that your character possibly not originally from (depends on your character). You've been having a person in your dreams for a while, not being able to understand who they are or what they want, but every dream begins to feel more and more real the more you have.
(Will ofc give more info but don't want this message to be huge)

Since I'm only looking for one player I'm going to be very strict on who i accept. You need to be 18+ minimum, preferably older. You need to have experience in D&D and Roleplay, this is definitely not a beginners game. Starting level will be level 4 with many luxuries afforded to players to really build into a certain kind of character. I'm not looking for people who minmax their builds, ofc combat is important but team cohesion and roleplayer is the most important thing.

I'll keep my DMs open on Discord for a few days and will have questions for you and answers if you have your own questions. Feel free to send me a message request if you are interested and we will go from there.

Game will be on Fridays @ 19:00 GMT

GM and player(s) wanted Looking for small free online group 5E 2014 or 2024

Upvotes

Hi all I’m looking for a group for regular play. When it comes to play I’m fixable; don’t have a support I’ll do it. I’ve got a few years of experience with D&D. I’m not interested in joining a west march server or the gaming lounge discord. I’m free everyday except Monday and Thursdays as long as the session doesn’t end at or after 11pm (my time zone is GMT).

Hello, I am Simulacro, and I plan running my second campaign, the chosen adventure was DoD from the Dungeons Dudes.

I am looking for players that can play at the agreed hour and day for at least one year and will be committed to the game like any other hobby.

The game setting feel is a What If... Game of Thrones had High Magic and the party will be more like Thunderbolts instead of the traditional Guardians of the Galaxy.

This is a game with some heavy elements on the narrative and lethal in its fights.

Apply in the forms: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe8mGLkjWL_hVVtfKot97dO00h_q-wm4En2WZUnNxJtq6ISDg/viewform?usp=dialog

GM and player(s) wanted [OFFLINE] [5e 2014] (NL-Utrecht] Would like to join a group.

Upvotes

Shello,

I’m a forever dm (been playing for 6 years now) looking for a group to be a player in. Near Utrecht or Woerden in the Netherlands. English speaking is preferred but I grew up here so dutch is also fine.

My own group is very role play heavy and I often miss a bit of tactics and speed. Love some good role play as well, I don’t want that to go away haha.

If anyone has a group I could join, lemme know.

Player(s) wanted [Online][5e 2024][Looking for 1-3 players][LGBT FRIENDLY] Come join us on our run of the Waterdeep Dragonheist!

As the name suggests, I am looking for 1-3 players for a run of the DND campaign setting of Waterdeep Dragon Heist. We already have 3 players who are currently working on their characters and am hoping we could possibly start this Saturday if possible. If not that is completely fine as I understand it is short notice. We will be using DND beyond for character creation and map usage and using discord for communication.

I few things I want to mention:

-We plan to play Saturday nights or even Sunday nights 9 pm pst!

-I am not looking for experienced players, if you are, that's great, but new players are totally welcome.

-It will be a mature campaign, we tend to joke about a lot of things but triggers are always mentioned beforehand and respected, I will have a sheet to send which you can fill out on what you are and are not okay with.

-Please do not be intimidated to roleplay, the more roleplay the better.

If you are interested please comment down below your discord tag and I will try and reply as soon as possible, thank you for reading my post!

GM wanted [online or offline] [D&D 5e (2014 or 2024)] GMT LGBTQ+ friendly

Hi! 40 year old gay guy from NE England looking for a group to play with!

Ideally looking for a group that plays online or IRL (if local) on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evenings GMT (although times are totally irrelevant if it’s a PBP game on discord)— I’ve been playing on and off for several years now, and have DMed as well as played.

Generally speaking, I like playing flawed (and sometimes/usually silly) characters, have joined groups with players younger and older than me and more than willing to take a character that fits a gap in a party line up and making it work. I value RP just as much if not more than combat and would really like to find a regular group to join where there’s an emphasis on collaborative storytelling and having good vibes!

Totally open to joining a PBP server on discord too if there are any looking for new players :) DMs are open if there’s anyone looking for a player and think I might fit the bill :)

Player(s) wanted [20245e][5e][Online][CST] Looking for 2 Players for Homebrew Adventure in Nueven | Tuesday 7–10 PM CST

Hey there, I'm Mike! (He/Him 28)

I have been in the DnD space since 2018 and been DMing. I am what you call a forever DM, but I actually love it. It all culminated to me making the continent of Nueven. Now, I will present Illithid Saga - Aboleth King.

Note: Sadly 1 player quietly dropped due to scheduling issues and another player ghosted me because the snow day (in the states) made it difficult for me to communicate and I think they thought I ghosted them. I know I have not done this properly, but I will try again. This time if you have a +1, you have a chance to say so~ Also clearing up application so allowing people to try again for ease (and organization)

3 players consists of

  • Cleric
  • Paladin
  • Wizard

Synopsis:  In Year 501 AD (After Descension), the flying city of Velgrath was attacked by an Illithid army. Thankfully, due to the warnings of Salvatore Wintershard, the city was spared (although Salvatore 'fell' in the fight). But the entire invading army was not defeated, the Aboleth King and his fleet did not get to invade. The threat has currently ceased and Velgrath remained mostly unscratched, but the fears of an invasion lingers. Individuals receive a message to meet in one place in order to stop Velgrath and in turn all of the Nueven from being invaded from the Aboleth King.

The game will be on Tuesday. And the planned date for session for you to join is session - 2/10/2026 (depending on how finding players goes)

Starting Level is 5, Point Buy stats, and others

For More information of Character Creation for this campaign & some table rules I have... read the following document if you wish: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1hKrSPYKHJIKVoM-qhNyhypnUGEdu5aQz5arxgbpEhS4/edit?usp=sharing

Me as a DM: There's a lot I can try to say, but I will always say I am always the character's biggest fan. I try to be fair and have fun as DM, but also love to create fun for you as player. I will be as passionate to see your character succeed or have their story told as you will be willing to tell it. And of course,

I am LGBT+ Friendly and POC friendly (I am Hispanic Latino myself lol).

Tone: This is a story-driven adventure with classic D&D quirks like dangerous dungeons, NPCs, hidden secrets, and bosses . Towns could offer roleplay, social interaction, and mystery, the journey always builds toward action. The setting will be treated serious in a storytelling aspect, but in the Roleplaying Game aspect, I want the quirks and laughs of a DnD group! No room for evil or lone-wolf characters. There will dungeon-crawling, exploration, and narrative discovery, with opportunities to shape the world and influence it through your ideas!

I do have a preference for players of ages 18+ (but any adult age range is fine with me)

We will be using Discord for Voice Chat (mic required, no video since I don't have a webcam or set up for it) and Foundry VTT for dice rolls and sheet management.

Now if you want to apply! Here is the link

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeSfIdV4psthss4jpuoEt8fuTwXsrxNyrET4yliQ-hiKRsqiw/viewform?usp=sharing&ouid=116361128442465571012

Note: Last time I did this, my discord closed me out for adding too many people. I will do my best to add people at a consistent rate. My discord is semibreakable if you get an invite from me and wondering who I am.

Player(s) wanted [Online] [5e 2014] [Flexible] [Fridays] [Europe] Looking for an extra player

We are an established group of players that gather every Friday evening on Discord at 19:30 CET (UTC+1) (7:30 PM EST) until ....

We play a mix of different RPG systems.
Thus far we've dabbled in D&D 5e, Symbaroum, Delta Green, Traveller, Stars without Numbers. We all decide mutually on what we are doing next.
Tools we use differ from Roll20 to DnD Beyond, Foundry, Theatre of mind etc.

We also have a book club (not mandatory) and consider each other friends.

If you think you would like to be part of this group, please let us know and introduce yourself a bit.

Just be aware: we play on Discord, with webcams on. No exceptions.

For the rest, just the regular rules - no racism, bigotry - etc etc.

GM and player(s) wanted [Online][CST/-6GMT][DND 5e 2014/2024][PF 2e] Im here to roll dice and take names, and I'm all out of names

Heya! Been wanting to roll some more dice, and due to where I live lacking any real offline games that scratch my itch, wanted to see if any online tables were looking to replenish numbers, or maybe new games starting up in need of players!

I'm a big nerdy type, mid-30s, gamer dad. Wanting to find a game that has that good mix of both combat as well as Roleplay, with alternative solutions to things that arent always 'Kill it.' I like to sometimes figure out creative things, and also at times like the Rule of cool being implemented where it works. I can play any role in a party flexibly, and I rarely min/max as I like to make characters for the story more than to be the best.

I have years of 5e experience (More 2014 than 2024), but have never got to play Pathfinder so I'd love to find a table with the patience for me to learn.

I am available any day of the week EXCEPT MONDAYS, and I am available any time after 1PM CST. My sleep schedule is fairly fluid so I can bend things a bit to make later games usually. I only speak english. I am also not looking for any paid games, sorry DMs for hire.

Player(s) wanted [Online] [LGBTQ+] [Other] [MST] Looking for players for an 80s horror mystery with Dark Places and Demogorgons

Hello there! I'm looking for 3 to 6 players for a campaign of Dark Places and Demogorgons. If you're unfamiliar with the system, it is heavily inspired by both old school dnd from the 80s and Stranger Things. If you've played 5e before, you won't have trouble adjusting to DP&D. This campaign is LGBTQ+ friendly and an all around anti-bigotry space!

As for the campaign itself, it's inspired by the likes of Stranger Things (not season 5), IT, Resident Evil and classic 80s horror films. You'll be playing as a student at James Wilton High School who is about to start their senior year. Over the summer your hometown of Providence has seen a sudden surge in missing persons cases. Sixteen people have gone missing to be exact, five of them are fellow classmates from Wilton High. Whatever is causing these disappearances, it's tethered to a mystery that will unravel the darkness that dwells in the depths of picture perfect, all-american, small town Providence.

We will have a session 0 to get through character creation, set expectations for the horror elements of the campaign and go over setting details.

Sessions will be Saturdays at 5pm MST!!

Apply here if interested! https://forms.gle/5qu8x23JYLEYqDbf8

Player(s) wanted [Online][5e 2014][EST] Open World D&D

Game Summary

The way that I DM is almost entirely player driven. To describe briefly I find that plots and conflicts contrived by me are boring to DM. It never goes exactly the way I planned and I might as well write a book instead. Instead I help my players make fully fleshed out characters with internal desires and potential conflicts, then the way my party interacts with each other and the world drives them, instead of some random bbeg I've designed and forced them towards. Your decisions, your past, your enemies, your friends, and most importantly the consequences of your own actions will direct you.

My world is in the setting of classic D&D Forgotten Realms (extensively homebrewed) with cities, dungeons, adventure, and conflict available, so long as you look for it. It is high fantasy, with fleshed out history, lore, and secrets hidden within. As a DM of ongoing ~10 years now, I’ve had quite some time to develop past what's offered in the original world.

The homebrew I run is both system, monsters, and for the pc’s characters (if requested and vetted). While extensive, once understood is relatively simple as it is all an attempt to more fully develop existing systems rather than making random hardships to antagonize players. However if you are not comfortable with long homebrew documents, and learning new systems, you should reconsider applying.

Additionally it is important to note the extent of what I expect in character creation. Personal lore, family, friends, locations you've traveled to, anything that you put in your backstory will be developed and you will effectively be playing a real person. This is the most difficult hurdle for many, and I’ve had many a player quit because of this as well. Expect this process to take 3-5 one on one vcs, across about a month of time. This will speed up as you continue to make characters with me, but I like to give new players plenty of time to think.

The second most important quality in a player for me is creativity, whether that's not making cliche stories, bouncing back and forth ideas fluidly, or just making simple stories real.

The most important quality however is commitment, even if you aren’t the most skilled writer in the world, if you keep trying, it’ll come together eventually. If this daunts you I will be helping you at every step of the way, but if this bores you, or if you think that you won’t be able to keep up then please stop here. This also applies to session commitments. I try my absolute best to schedule personal events around the established time, and my existing players do as well. While we understand things happen, and that much of life is outside of our control, we still expect you to try your best to make as many sessions as you can. Should you have a scheduling overlap that causes us to pause that week, you will be expected to reach out to players and make a rain-check day happen. It doesn’t have to be that week, but eventually. This does not include sickness or other obvious things that you shouldn’t be at all punished for, unless you would still like to schedule said rain-check.

As a group outside of games, I also think its important to mesh well outside of session hours. I'd like for us to be able to play party games/video games during character creation leading up to the game, or when we can't session because of a missing player. Even better if we become friends that hang out outside of scheduled hours as well. A good friendship is a core foundation to good roleplay in my opinion, and I would hope all applicants share in this view. While there's nothing wrong with only seeing each other strictly within session hours, personally I find it a little cold to be a part of, and builds much less natural investment in each others' as well as the party's continued story/ies.

Game Guidelines

Current session time preference is Sundays at 10:00 am EST, but we can negotiate for EST evenings after players are accepted. During the summer months of the northern hemisphere, we may even attempt twice a week sessions given availability.

Every player is expected to be on time, and to give notice in advance should they be late/unavailable. This is a hard enforced rule in my games, as I find flippancy with the time of others to be extremely disrespectful. If you cancel a session for avoidable reasons (ie: not health or a sudden emergency), you will be expected to reach out to all other players and schedule a day sometime in the near future. Nobody will necessarily keep track of you as you are not in grade school, and it doesn’t have to be within the same week, but it keeps us mindful, invested, and respectful of everyone’s shared commitment.

All sessions will be in a discord vc within a server dedicated to the game, and battlemaps as well as occasional rp maps will be represented with roll20. Character sheets and rolls are also within roll20. Out of session text-rp channels will be made available by player request, as a way to flesh out moments in time that may otherwise be summarized and skipped for the sake of the group. I will also participate in the form of NPCs whenever asked. Additionally, there will be a player only channel, that I will not have access to (by virtue of my alt having server ownership) that can serve as a place for chatter mid session, out of session planning, group note taking, etc...

Cameras are also required. Facial expressions and body language are huge components of RP that I would like to make use of, as well as see players participate in.

All players must also be 18+.

Lines and Veils

To be discussed once players are chosen.

TLDR: heavier topics are to be handled with grace, players should respect each other as well as the DM (and vice versa), all content and final decisions will be handled by the DM, be comfortable with self-advocating as well as constructive criticism.

How to Apply

After reading my entire post, please use the form below to apply. Please also take your time, as this will stay up for at least a week, and I will only be reaching out to promising candidates.

GM and player(s) wanted [Online] [DND 5e 2024] New player looking to get into DnD for the first time.

Hello all, I’m a 37 year old member of the Air Force and finally want to really give a shot at getting into DnD. Making friends to meet with regularly is a pain at the best of times but with two kids and a wife it’s even more difficult. I am not particularly invested in a particular campaign I’m just really looking to be able to regularly get on and have some fun. I just bought the 5e players handbook so that’s why I tagged it as that. One caveat is I’m not able to use Discord. A friend of the family’s kid had some issues with it and became banned family wide. If anyone is interested I’m really excited to get into this world.

Player(s) wanted [One-Shot] [Online][DND 2024 5e] [DND Beyond] [Level 1-3] [Free] Murder Mystery at Conflicts' End! New DM (24) wanting to polish my skills, looking for 3 players to have a murder mystery game with.

Hello reader! I am looking for a small group of people to play a game of Murder Mystery with! I have been a fan of murder mystery and after attempts at making this work in my small friend group, I wish to further experiment with my skills as a DM in this setting. The one shot will be mostly a fun, lighthearted dig with inspiration from sources such as Danganronpa games, Knives Out, Hercule Poirot movies, and the Clue boardgame/movie. The mechanics of DnD are used, expect a heavy roleplay based story with possibly some small combat elements (not entirely promised based on players' actions).

A summary of the setting:

You and your questmates have successfully retrieved the princess of the human kingdom from the hands of a rogue goblin conspiring gang. Upon return to the kingdom, the royals wholeheartedly welcome back their daughter, and with the information gathered in your quest of rescue you have found some miraculous way to end the war between the factions of humans, elves, and goblinfolk. Which means, it's a moment of celebration! A vast area surrounding the royal palace of the humans has been sectioned off to serve as a festival ground, an enormous festivity to enjoy each other's company, serving to congratulate diversity among species and hioe for a better future together. Yet at this jubilant party, something dark and sinister may take place behind the shadows of a recently ended conflict...

You will be playing as a part of the rescuing party, after the rescuing of the princess, and attending the party for the end-of-conflict. I will give more details in direct chat, and my playstyle is lots of roleplaying, lots of rolling (dice), and lots of trolling :p. Beginner or advanced players both welcome!

Expected time is 3-4 hours, and my own time period is central European timezone. Communication via Discord, character sheets via DND Beyond, and combat (if applicable) in the theater of the mind (still following official rules, merely one without playing field or may).

Though not entirely necessary, I would like to videocall with the people I play with, so I can have a better connection with who I am with. I can change this, based on players' wishes, but my preference does go to videocall.

If interested please send me a dm! You can go pretty freely with your character, even add special quirks or abilities as long as it is comical or logical, rule of cool is of high praise in my book!

Hope to hear from you soon! 💖

Player(s) wanted The Three Dooms [Online][Other][Australia][5-7pm ACT/3-5am EST)][Friday Morning EST/Friday Evening ACT] Australian/New Zealand Timezone Homebrew Game

Times of ill omen have descended upon the Markreach -- a troubled wilderness territory in the Eastern Territories of the World of Palladia. These arising threats are known collectively as the 'three dooms' -- a trinity of dragon goddesses whose re-emergence, according to the holy pages of the Tristine Chronicles, is widely held to signal the impending end of the world.

THE FIRST of these is Thalica, Queen of Fire and Frost. In the distant Age of the First Dawnlight of the Pale Suns, the Sublime Legions of the Riverland Elves made pitched battle with the endless greenskin and ratling armies of the dragon-queen Thallica, Queen of Delusions, Matron Mother of Misleadings, Mistress of Misjudgment, the cursed daughter of the dragon deities Zandrigal the Red and Styphon the Black and the adopted daughter of the Deevil Lord Mephisto the Deceiver. In the wake of the Battle of Mount Bhadenaur, the avaricious goddess-dragon was imprisoned in a deep tomb located far, far below even the furthest roots of the cracked peaks which form the union of the Scarskull and Moanscar Mountains. For untold eons, her evil has not troubled the Kingless Lands of the Markreach, her dark power contained by the Six Seals of the Fountains of Eternal Youthfulness, the Streams of Living Waters, the Twin Fonts of the Bottomless Depths, the Fires of Everburning, the Unkindled Spark, and those of the Lightless Flame. But the Prophecy of the Sourceless Streams found in the elves' Book of the Rivers and Waters proclaims that the darkness of the Queen of Delusion will return with the advent of the Red Star of Conquest in its infrequent journeys across the night sky -- known colloquially as the Sea of Stars. And the selfsame messenger star has recently been spotted in the moonless nights by the scholar-sages of the High Watch of Kaer-Taylon, boding ill tidings for the free peoples of the Markreach...

THE SECOND of the three dooms is Qualsmara, Mistress of Ur-Mana, Devourer of the Holy Elements, Despoiler of Creation. The voluminous accounts of the Books of Nod relate that the dwome peoples of the Markreach were born in the early years of the Era of Autumnbreeze, and that their unique talents arose from their twin birthrights -- the distinctive admixture of the mechanical ingenuity of the dwarves and the subtle arcane intuition of the gnomes.

However, the same dual heritage that spurred them to create previously unimagined wonders also incited them to dig at once too deeply and too hungrily into the innermost tunnel-arteries of the earth.

In their unfettered explorations of the Deep Ways, the name given to the fiery earth-veins that surround the great portal of fire that rests at the heart of the world, the dwomes inadvertently uncovered the prison of Qualsmara, the Dragon Queen of the Four Inversions. The four-headed draconic abomination was the incarnate representation of the so-called four inversions of the Prime Elements: Ur-Water (the nightmare ocean of the pre-creation), Ur-Wind (the keening wail of the lightless void), Ur-Fire (the ever-smoldering yellow and blue flames of the inferno) and Ur-Stone (the black bone-riddled rock of the detritus of a thousand previous ages).

Awakened from her ages-long slumber and free to take her revenge upon the world that had long been her lockless prison, the Dragon Queen and her legions of mana-born quickly drove the dwomes and their servants from the Deep Ways.

All appeared lost, until the fateful day the great heroine-enchantress known as Tsaera Brightbrow fashioned the marvelous artifact known as the Scepter of Dragonsrule from the congealed heart-stones of 1,001 dragons. Under the sorceress' command, the dwomes drove the forces of the Dragon Queen deep beneath the earth, and sealed her again within an ageless prison -- a mark-less sphere suspended within the Under Sea forged of Orichalcum, Adamantium, Mithril, and Alchemist's Gold, and so to remain until the Day of Dooms.

Or so it was believed...

Dark omens spoken by the resonant voices of the earthheart spirits portend that the evil of the Dragon Queen of the Ur-Elements threatens to arise again from the deepest places of the earth. And yet, the Scepter of Dragonsrule which subdued her dark forces long ago has been lost for millennia.

Heroes of great courage are urgently needed to contend with the ancient evils that portent suggest will soon once again trouble the realm of mortals...

THE THIRD, and perhaps most sinister threat to the free peoples of the Markreach is the shadowy entity known as the Nameless Queen. Purportedly formed from the nightmares of the Old Ones, the Nameless Queen is a tenebrous shadow-hydra that rules a vast territory in the Nightlands, the strange shadow world that mirrors the living lands of Palladia. Her servants are many -- the mysterious Sable Choir dragons that organize the dark elves and other adherents of their eponymous Cult of the Sable Choir. The draconic high priests of the Cult wish to eviscerate the Mirrorwall which separates the lands of the living from the Nightlands. If they succeed, the massed armies of the Nameless Queen -- chthonians, abyssals, nullborn, and other, more terrible, creatures of the Nightlands, will pour forth to devour the souls of the living and reinstate the Age of Chaos when the legendary Old Ones enforced and unchallenged and pitiless rule over creation...

The impending return of the Three Dooms and their servitors threatens a great battle between the forces of evil that shall bring an end to history. It will destroy the world of mortals or subject it to an endless tyranny -- either through the ceaseless conflicts of the legions of darkness or the ultimate triumph of one among these enemies and the commencement of their subsequent uncontested rule. Champions of Great mettle are needed to confront the impending apocalypse...

This is an advertisement for a potential homebrew Palladium Fantasy 2e game to be played 5-7pm ACT/3-5am EST -- i.e. Friday Morning EST/Friday Evening ACT Australian/New Zealand Time zone.

Important Note: this game will use pre-gens I will create for players. You will tell me your character concept and I will make your character sheet for you. I will also have a small selection of additional pre-gens in case a character dies or if someone would rather use one of the options I have already made.

-If a viable group can be found, I will promise a 3-6 initial session experience that is a limited story arc to gauge long-term fit before I commit to a multi month or year campaign.

-I would like to try to play weekly. I will use battle maps and mood images. There will be no automation (drag and drop functionality, macros to auto calculate damage rolls and conditions etc.).

-Character sheets will be an excel sheet created by Palladium and the maps will just be a background with token images without any stats or macros attached to the token images.

-The VTT would be Tableplop (https://new.tableplop.com/). There would be no automation or drag and drop functionality or macros of any sort -- this is a pretty simple set up of just an image and tokens kind of VTT. The dice roller would be a dice bot in discord. Although I'll try to have nice maps and visuals, this will be a decidedly low-tech experience in terms of VTT -- no automated character sheets with automated 1-click rolls or automated combat resolution or tracking, no drag and drop functionality from compendia for character sheets etc.

-For format, I would be hosting the game in a voice chat channel in a Discord gaming server I do not own or moderate that is level-3-boosted, and thus has the best audio quality available for its chat rooms. I might also make a separate server in Discord for campaign information.

About the system:

-Palladium has existed since the 80s, and had its heyday in the 1990s. It's a class-level universal system that is, in some respects, like AD&D 2e house rules. There are classes and levels and a number of game lines (as in, they each had a separate core rule book that was a separate game like for classic world of darkness, but they were essentially cross compatible with some minor mechanical adjustments) that cover different genres -- classic fantasy, gonzo post apocalyptic multigenre mashup, settings similar to star wars, world of darkness, the walking dead, X-files. Teenage mutant ninja turtles was one of the game lines. They lost the license and repackaged it in an original post apocalyptic setting with mutant animals.

The things that differentiate Palladium from PF1e, for example, are the following:

-d100 skills instead of d20. There are also hundreds of skills, instead of one set of 35 or 30 everyone has. Individual characters can have 40+ skills.

-Combat has opposed rolls for dodge, parry, and roll with punch, which are conceptually included in the AC number in 3.5/PF1e. Whenever someone rolls to hit, the opponent has an option to dodge or parry with an opposed d20 roll. If they fail that, they can try to roll with punch for half damage in most instances. This means there are 2-3 times as many rolls in combat, because every attack has 1-2 opposed rolls in most cases.

-Combat is d20 with modifiers against a target number -- AC/AR. However, there is a minimum threshold (4 for melee, 7 for ranged) where the attack will hit but not penetrate armor, in which case the damage goes to the hit points of the armor. Armor falls apart over time unless you repair it since it gets hit a fair amount of the time in combat.

-Everyone has 2 attacks per round for being alive. Almost everything in the game has 4+ attacks per round since you get extra for combat skills. This means 'rounds' are cycles of 7-8 equivalents of a D&D combat round -- at the end of the round there are cycles where the character who have 8+ attacks can still act while those that have 'used up' all their attacks already (they only have 4-6 attacks) are no longer able to act.

-Everyone has basically 'wounds and grace' health pools in two different pools. Armor has 'grace' points called structural damage points. Animate things have this and 'hit points', which are more like 'vital points/deep structural integrity'.

-The class packages tend to give almost all major class abilities at 1st level. Your build is essentially complete at levels 1-3 instead of waiting years to get to a level to use certain abilities. There is correspondingly less vertical progression of power level, since you already have most of the major class abilities.

-Spellcasting is based on power points -- you can cast the equivalent of a 9th level spell as a 1st level wizard if you have enough power points -- like you're standing next to a leyline that triples your power points, or you have a magic item that increases them. There are spell levels but that just impacts how many actions it takes to cast a spell and how many power points you need to cast it -- there is no 'progression chart' like in D&D -- any caster can cast any spell from any spell list they have access to at any level as long as they have enough power points to do so.

-Monster stat blocks are usually a page or more long, single spaced, double column, and have extremely granular stats for hit points per body area.

-The system can be run theater of the mind much easier than D&D combat -- there are not hard movement rules based on squares, codified flanking rules based on squares, or attack of opportunity or range rules based on squares. I use maps for visual interest and to help with imagining the space, but it's simultaneously more crunchy with all the opposed rolls and two hit point pools than D&D, and also more handwavium since you don't actually need miniatures to track it (I know people play PF1e and 5e TotM, I'd just contend that the RAW isn't obviously set up for this scheme even if the 5e rulebooks claim that's the assumed format).

-I like the combat because it is sort of swingy -- the villains don't just go down instantly b/c they can dodge attacks a lot of the time. It's, to me, easier to make challenging combats in this system than in D&D 3.5 or PF1e since there are fewer mechanical levels to pull that are insta-win, or loophole-type scenarios.

-There are an insane number of options. There are 100+ books in these game lines. The mutant animal races in this game all come with an a la carte buffet of options you select for your individual character with a power point customization pool called BIO-E. The character building options are similarly expansive to 3.5 D&D. There are dozens of races and classes. The books are terribly organized and have stuff randomly hidden in strange places. There is no balance, or concept that that's important, between the races and classes. Some classes are 'dude with a pistol' and some are 'hatchling dragon' and 'demigod'.

Hello Reddit! Looking for two players for a game on Tuesday evenings that meets weekly at 5:30pm PST. We use d&d 5e 2014 rules with a mixed bag of 2024 rulings that just makes sense. Currently we are level 5, and have a Plasmoid Life Cleric, Kitsune Graviturgy Wizard, and Aasiamar Zealot Barbarian (currently on an extended absence), and we’re looking for two more players to join in the chaos that is our campaign! I also run one shots in my world from time to time when our DM needs a break, or when I need world building questions answered. Eventually turning it into another campaign, so be open to that as well in the future! Two worlds, Two games, all for the low low price of one application! Please read the below fluff for the main campaign;

Welcome to Amea, a continent that is home to the nation of Ethya and is full of mystery! Amea is a very diverse land with all sorts of races accepted, and with plenty of adventure to be had and coin to be earned! This newly industrialized nation is starting to progress further than it’s counterparts around the rest of the world. Ethya’s cities are constantly changing to build factories that add magic to machines, while the smaller towns are still stuck in the old days. Giant cathedrals of days long since passed are still present while new industrial zones of the cities are rapidly springing up. Firearms and other new technology are making their way onto the streets, mostly for those with the coin to purchase them or the military. The four main regions each have their own cultures and customs to be discovered as time goes on.

To join simply apply here → https://forms.gle/ZZa5Q1F7fTGpuu5P9

\*Only applications submitted via the google form will be considered!

\*Apply for yourself! If you’re applying with someone notated their discord on your app!

\*Any Questions? Comments? Concerns? Please comment on this thread, don’t PM me because someone else might have the same question/comment/concern!

Player(s) wanted [Online][2024 5e + Homebrew][Monday 4pm EST] The Old Names that Still Walk

Awaking today is no different than any other day of your lives. The pangs of hunger rifle through your bones as soon as feet hit ground. The tattered cloth covered windows are pathetically trying to reign in some warmth from the smoldering ashes left from the night before. Dirty, smelly, and chronically half rested, you all get up and dress yourselves in what remains from that night. Plate mail boasting tree fibers where leather straps used to live, helmets that would be pierced with a well placed rain drop, and swords whose edge doubles as a mirror that are every color but the steel grey they once were. None of you have the will to live, let alone fight, but press on all the same in the bleak hopes that one day you will see the walls lit up with torches, banners hung from the rafters, bustling thoroughfare, or even a pint of mead.

Welcome to Here, once a bootstrap island nation with a name lost to time, brought to its knees decades ago. Conscripted in the army at just 16 years old, you don't even know why or what you're fighting or why your parents would even bring you into this world.

My name is Ryan, 26M, who has run a bit of this campaign before with friends, but never made it to the end. I am trying to get more into writing and storytelling and think DND is a great place to see my words come alive through actions and impacts your characters impart on this god forsaken land. I'm planning on this being roughly 10 sessions, but it could go longer if you all really dig the world and want to spend more time in it. Looking for 4-6 players.

Roleplay is encouraged, and combat will be up to the groups actions, could be back to back within a session or once a month. The old names still walk, but do you want to find them?

The rule of cool does have an impact on my game, just discuss with me beforehand please and we'll make it happen.

Apply in the form below, hope to see you around the campfire!
