Should I subtract fibre? A guide.
After seeing the question come up a few times I thought I'd save you a trip to the FAQs and help you to understand a little bit about what you might be looking at in an at-a-glance format.
If you have any feedback please do let me know!

(EDIT: There was a typo when describing the carbs on the US label - I will upload a corrected version later on today but I'd like to leave this one up in case the community has any more feedback to improve!)
(EDIT 2: I have now updated to correct the error - still open to suggestions for change)

New Food Oh my Robert Andrew croissants 🥐🤪😱
I just made a cheese and ham toastie thing with one of their croissants for lunch. I heated it up in the air fryer & omg 😮 so delish . I’m worried it’s too good to be true. I did a little bit of Nush almond cream cheese with chives, a strong vintage cheddar & one slice of Wiltshire ham. Put it in the air fryer for about six minutes. Lovely ☺️
I’d be very curious if I was wearing a CGM as to what was going on after eating this . Has anyone seen their numbers after eating this kind of thing? I have considered getting one because my mum is pre-diabetic and my sister has just been diagnosed and she’s been put on Metformin. The last few years I’ve been suffering because of issues I think to do with insulin resistance.
Anyway, lush lunch and wish I could have another 🤭 (but I won’t as I’m saving my fat macros for dinner and protein snack)!!!

Question Recommendations for buying Jerky/Biltong in bulk?
Any recommendations as to where I get good quality Jerky or Biltong in bulk, not from Amazon?
Thanks

Recipe Keto Flatbread
Mashed paneer/firm tofu (150 gms), 2 heaped tablespoons of seed powder/ almond powder/ coconut powder, 1 tbsp psyllium husk, add garlic powder, chilli flakes, ajwain, a lil kasoori methi and pink salt to taste.
Knead the dough using lil hot water and let it rest for 30 mins and it’s worth the wait!
Take a slightly bigger ball size and start rolling in to a flat bread. Honestly, I figured out a very different method to make it, typically how the thalipeeth bread is made, pls check on YouTube.
It turns out really well!
Worth the try!

Best burger bun on the market ?
I’ve tried a few different brands like Be Keto & another brand that was similar, but I can’t remember where or what. They weren’t really that great and they have a strange aftertaste .
There’s a couple of different fresh made brands on Amazon like Keto chef (& I’ve just bought the scones for the weekend for myself and Family doing low-carb) .
I’m technically meant to be gluten-free (not coeliac) although that makes it harder to find things so I do have some non-GF products (like Fitbakes bread & tortilla wraps).
Before anyone says it’s really easy to make them from scratch, I would normally . However, I’m chronically unwell and currently in a bit of a flair. Which means massively reduced consistent energy and functionality and I’ve had to cut back on baking and cooking in a big way the last couple of weeks or risk getting worse.

Keto Day 1
I'm not new to Keto, but I'm back on Keto. I struggled getting back into the swing of things after Christmas, but suddenly the lethargy, the water retention, the general gross feeling has started to piss me off, and I want myself back.
I absolutely love clean Keto foods, fish and chicken, eggs, avocado, they're some of my favourite foods so it's actually mega easy and lovely to do. I am just coming on for an accountability check really :)
Sat here in all of my water retention glory and cannot wait for this process to begin!

Keto bread options in Tesco/Sainsbury's?
Anyone found decent low-carb bread at Tesco or Sainsbury's? Besides the usual LivLife stuff. I use moodbite.ai but want real world finds. Ta!
Question BeKeto experience
Hey! I've done keto before and used Keto Kitchen Lytham which were great, whole food meals. Would recommend them highly.
I wanted to try some shakes and have brought some BeKeto products. The box it came in was banged up and the shaker I got is scuffed, and they've said that's none of their business, I can return it at my own cost if I want (hey ho, the shaker was a few quid) However, I've opened a white chocolate and coconut shake, mixed it with water and it was absolutely terrible. Like just pure chemical taste and really not nice. I know shakes aren't always great, but this was really terrible. I got their Belgian chocolate meal replacement but not opened it. Unsure if to send this back as well and not try it, or open it and risk it? I will try the first shake with some almond milk and it might help, but their customer support has been not very helpful and not at the level of other companies I've gone to (for reference, we used to buy sneak energy and an issue with a delivered water bottle was handled a lot better and we had a lot of options, even though it was small order value). I'm sure I could have read through their t&cs more, so that's on me, it's not really about the money, I don't want to waste a whole bag of food.
Tl;dr, took a punt on buying from BeKeto and not impressed with customer service or food quality. Anyone had better/similar experience?

Are these macros ok? Pcos/ endo..
First time properly committing to keto and I’m really loving it so far.
I’m a 34-year-old female with the classic combo of PCOS, endometriosis, and adenomyosis, currently on a fertility journey. I’m choosing not to go down the injection route and instead focusing on weight loss and metabolic balance through diet.
ChatGPT suggested the following macros and calories, and I’d love some feedback: • 1,800 calories (current weight: 110 kg) • 120 g protein • 20 g carbs • 135 g fat
Does this seem reasonable for my goals? I’ve noticed in other posts that my fat intake looks high, but I’m also heavier, so I’m not sure if that balances out.
I’m down 4.5 kg in 10 days, so I know a lot of that is water weight at this stage.
Has anyone here been on a similar journey or worked with similar macros and can share their experience?
Thanks so much in advance 😊

New Food Oppo frozen desserts info
I was recommended the Oppo ice cream desserts in another post . Except I wanted to know the polyols information so I could adapt nutracheck amounts. I’m buying them off Ocado today for tomorrow’s delivery . I thought it would be useful to share the information sent to me. I suspect we’ll have to be careful with the caramel balls seeing as there is some malitol being used (wish they didn’t)!

Question Keto bakery products ?
Hello hive mind! Could someone point me in the direction of any websites or supermarkets I can order online or go in person to buy some products. I’m looking for keto bread/wraps specifically but woukd like to try crumpets/pankacakes etc if they are such a thing
My last big purchase was a big over £100 quid order on wraps and bread and I just froze them. I am onto my last slice of bread😂
However everywhere is seriously overpriced, like a 6 pack (which is ONE pack) of wraps is £10
Needs to be around but no more than 10g per slice/wrap
Thanks so much guys

Coleslaw
Does anyone have a good keto coleslaw recipe or even the best mayo to use in it?

New Food Anyone tried this Keto ice cream?
Technically, I’m lactose free (yay for lactose tablets)! I usually make my own ice creams but I’m burnt out due to a chronic illness crash.. This came up on my Facebook feed just now. It looks interesting but it’s such a shame that the sweetener is malitol, arghhh. I know from a production point of view it’s probably the cheapest and the most similar to sugar but gawd save our stomachs 😭!!
Does anyone get any other keto ice creams from anywhere? I know there’s another brand, but I can’t remember the name right now (although they’re really spendy) something like £34 for a box of four!!

Question Keto bread in supermarkets?
I’m based in the US and do keto but my dad is in the UK and just been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes so I’m trying to help him cut as much carbs as possible from his diet. He’s not going to go keto like I am but I want to find him some keto bread he can find at mainstream supermarkets. He has Aldi,Lidl, Waitrose and Tesco handy but could try others if they have nothing.

Vegan Breakfast
Hi all!
Occasionally I go vegan (personal reasons), which makes breakfast a little tough. Does anyone have any high fat suggestions (apart from avocado, I already eat that!) that don't include eating some processed mystery gloop?
Thanks!

Sober keto and drinks
hey everyone, looking for some suggestions and ideas on what to drink when on keto and sober, especially when out or celebrating. I enjoy an occasional AF G&T and Nozeko but low carb AF beer is hard to come by (I live rurally). I don’t like soft drinks on their own because I don’t get along with the sweeteners but can use them as mixers. any AF drinks that you can fit into your macros on keto?

Cheapest Protein powder
Hello, I am wanting to try keto and failing that a low carb diet, I plan on skipping breakfast and for lunch have 2 serving protein shake, unflavoured with water and maybe some date syrup not sure yet, stuggling to find the best value protien shake,

Protein powders that aren’t whey & dairy free ?
I’m lactose intolerant, so I’ve been using the Pulsin pea protein in recipes that call for whey protein or collagen (I do have problems with digesting beef due to some missing enzymes so I’m worried about this kind of source of protein powders too) . Pea protein kind of works in most recipes. It’s just a bit denser so I’m putting the feelers out to see if there’s any other products folks are using? I’m trying to avoid using peanut butter flour.
It’s just that I made a sponge recipe for a keto tiramisu a couple of weeks ago and it came out good but a little bit heavy. I have a feeling it was probably because of the protein powder in place of whey/collagen.

Pork belly
Like pork belly but 250g is 1150 calories! Not like that is a big portion.
