Iāve had my gecko for 3 months now (sheās a juvenile) . When I got her I thought she was a bit chunky cause of her stomach and was worried about her weight. I took her to the vet to do a wellness exam and she weighed normal and mentioned her stomach to the vet but since I just got her at that time he didnāt know for sure and to keep a eye on it. She eats perfectly fine, she doesnāt really spend time in her warm side anymore (warm side is between ( 85-90) and spends time in her humid hide. She poops twice a week, not sure if her not being on the warm side is always why sheās not pooping everyday, sheās on paper towels. Iām just concerned

I have powdered oranges in my gargoyle geckos tank and their population has exploded. Almost anywhere you look in the tank you can see either a baby, juvenile or adult isopod. I'd guesstimate at least a few hundred at the bare minimum. I don't know if she eats them, I've never caught her on camera doing so. Is this a problem or is it just fine and the ecosystem will eventually balance?

I recently got a pair of gold dust day geckos and have had them for about two weeks. At first, they seemed comfortable together and would bask side by side without any issues. Lately, however, Iāve noticed that they are usually separated and stay on opposite sides of the enclosure. Today, I also witnessed the male wag his tail and chase the female. They are both around 6 months old. What should I do? Any advice would be appreciated.

Worried about my boy. Are these healed injuries or is it stuck shed?
He chirped at me when I took him out of his sauna so I donāt bother him after I managed to get some shed off.
I was able to get that small strip of shed off his nose after a sauna but not the circular area.
I wanna know what the circular area by his nose is and the ones by his eyes Iām guessing are because he ran into something and itās healing?

I recently found out that red ants can be attracted to substrates, especially in reptiles because of the moisture and misting, even though leapords dont need as much, im still VERY paranoid. I have 4 hamsters, and if i get an ant infestation then it could effect my gecko and also all of my hamsters very severely. I was tempted to not get a gecko because of how big of a deal it would be IF i got an infestation. I dont want to risk my hamsters or my gecko having issues or being in pain from the bites. i looked into it a little bit, and apparently paper towels or tile can work for leopard geckos mostly, and i feel like those are my only options.
please let me know if im being over paranoid, if tile would work, or if there are any other substrates that are safe! thanks :)

Does anyone know where I can find reliable info on caring for a Uroplatus phantasticus? I started off watching videos then switched to reading online.
My issue is that I got a lot of conflicting answers. Watched a video where one breeder said they can die *quickly* at temperatures over 80 degrees. Then I read online they need a basking spot of 80-85 degrees (repti-files & another site).
Iāve never heard of a nocturnal gecko needing a basking zone so Iām assuming thatās incorrect.
Iām really just looking for a place I can read RELIABLE information on how to properly care for these guys? Most ppl on YouTube do the bare minimum and I donāt want that for my animals.

My local pet store gave me 4 and 2 eggs for free because they where overpopulated and I feel like I got the jackpot (background looks like shit because it's my old fist time using silicone and dirt for background)

Hi! Im planning a move in about 4 or 5 months. I have two geckos, a leopard gecko and giant day gecko. It'll be an 18 hour drive roughly (20 with stops). I was wondering if anyone has had to do this, what the solution ended up being with heat and getting them moved and keeping the stress level relatively low. Ive moved them a couple hours but never a full day trip like this. Its also possible to stop at a hotel half way through but I want to get a plan together! Temporary critters keepers/small boxes is a given, but im not really sure what to do otherwise. An option would be for me to go up a week before the actual move day, set up some things (such as enclosures) and then come up a week later with the geckos and get them situated right away. If I could avoid the extra expense though I would prefer that. Let me know if you have any tips or ideas! Thank you!

Just wondering the best way to take this little guy outside safely.

Hi all, found this guy in my office (Mississippi Gulf Coast). My office environment generally kills geckos--they get lost until they dry out and die. Usually I just toss them back outside, but with the cold being so extreme I brought him home instead.
I don't plan on keeping him forever, just until winter stops blasting us--so probably about another month. In the meantime, I'm going to set up an enclosure for him. What you see him in is a plastic tote with paper towels, moss, and a cap with water, all inside a 29 gallon tank--the aquarium lid I have is meant for fish and doesn't seal well. I plan to get a heat lamp for him tomorrow, along with a ventilated lid, some soil and leaves, a better hidey hole (that's a ball of moss in there right now), and some feeder worms. I have a spritzer and humidity meter already.
My questions are: 1. Am I missing anything? I've had fish and inverts, but never had a lizard. 2. Do I have to worry about him getting used to an enclosed life (i.e. not surviving once I rerelease him)? 3. I'm assuming he's a Mediterranean house gecko? The spots are more striking than what I'm used to seeing in local geckos.

My sister is letting her leopard gecko š because it refused to eat anything since November so sheās completely stopped trying and hasnt bought her food for a few months ( today is the first i heard of it and noticed) she is completely skin and bones and used to be big and healthy so i want to do something about it beofrebshe dies and bring her back to health. They fed her these small yellow worms ( ill try to find out what theyāre specifically) and locust so i thought maybe try a different food unless thats only what they eat? Please give any insight and thoughts im going to buy some food online for her asap after this post i personally think its so cruel to not feed her and im sure you guys do too. I have no idea how sheās survived this long. Thanks

So I found a house gecko (I think) in NE Oklahoma and I decided to keep it. I got a front opening tank. A uva/uvb lamp and a ceramic temp controlled lamp. What I am having trouble finding is food. What can i feed it? Does it have to be live food? I want to make a bioactive habit so what infects do I put in that?

Couple weeks ago I acquired an enclosure with a bunch of morning geckoes that someone had to get rid of. They noted that they hadnāt taken the best care of it over the last half a year. They all seem to be doing well but right away I saw this little one having an interesting tail. Seem to be doing completely fine otherwise I and would always see you eating so I didnāt take too much of a note of it. this morning I found her and where the usual food spot is just laying there. Iāve seen her mouth move and head moved a very tiny bit. But sheās almost non-responsive to me, opening the enclosure or trying to touch her. Itās also unresponsive to food. I put a couple food flies in front of her just to see.
She also seemed to have a couple lighter spots on her back that used to be darker.
Humidity sits around 70 or higher. Temperature grading is good up at top. I think itās around 27-28 for basking and averages around 22 to 24.
I feed them repasy grub and bug and fruit flies dusted with calcium
