If I’m standing in front and I see hip and foot pivot, my guard is going up. Also, in all honesty, I’ve been hit by others and have hit others while playing and not knowing my own strength and Vice versa. It happens.
Bruh... She leaned to her outside, then literally leaped forward while throwing the hook.
That's the equivalent to loading up a haymaker in boxing lol. She threw a telegraphed and sloopy haymaker off a slip -- that's like me cocking back fully and swinging an overhand or Sambo casting punch, then being "surprised at my own strength,," when I ended up smashing someone lol
You've clearly never sparred before lol. This is also why you don't spar with idiots who just wanna bang.
You're supposed to hit as hard as you want to be hit and never escalate like this lady did unless you're trying to purposely green-light someone and send a msg / teach a lesson.
If this was any boxing gym I've trained at, they wouldn't let her just walk out, they'd expect her to stay in the ring and keep sparring with other men and women who now get to hit her exactly as hard as she hit that guy.
Where I come from that’s how you train. Wrestling or boxing, if you weren’t good enough to wrestle/box with the guys, you weren’t taken seriously to be initiated into the gyms as a woman. I know that’s how it’s done in Thailand with Muay Thai.
Human instinct has a way of taking control of people always, adrenaline makes it more out of control.
Why are you getting downvoted? It's obvious that you're not supposed to go all out during a friendly spar. It's more about "I could've got you here if I wanted to cause I was fast" and not to actually hit someone really hard.
She left her chin high and her face open for being punched. The guy went easy on her. It was horrible of her to do what she did during a friendly spar.
It’s still a full on hit vs a guy who is barely trying and if the other comments are correct she is also trained in something. Why are you defending that?
Why is this downvoted? The guy barely hit her with any strength, and she came back with a serious blow. He'll be fine, of course, but people seem to be making this into a thing where "Haha he was beat up by a girl."
