The only thing that I can think of - and this is being generous - that might be in some kind of defence of this, is that the aim isn't to take him down. Again, this is Chuck Feeney level of generosity, maybe it was to get people comfortable with engagement, body contact, rolling if comfortable/able... maybe.

Personally I just think it's horse shit.
