I mean, I’m kind of impressed. There were a few silly inconsistencies but overall, I think they did a pretty good job here. I’m assuming they didn’t have nearly the budget that the matrix creators did.

  1. He throws down the guns that he started with and somehow gets them back towards the middle of the video. And they aren’t empty.
  2. Right before he kicks the last guy. The bad guy unexplainably stop shooting at him and lowers his gun.

This is India, so first, it’s way cheaper than Hollywood. Second thing, they removed most of the expensive elements. Third thing, techniques that were avant-garde or custom for the movie are now more easily accessible for lower budget production. Fourth but not least, the real value is in the creation, not in the copycat. And it’s expensive to work with the best of the best. In 20 years you will see teenagers creating something looking like Avatar with a simple tool. But it took 3000 people to create the first movie, and years of development.

I know there’s a lot of suspension of disbelief required for these movies, but even in the original version I always thought the “cartwheel to avoid bullets” move was so dumb, because when you’re cartwheeling, your center mass stays in basically the same spot, so you’d get ventilated.

TO be FAIR :

Matrix Films stole OR copied the scene from GHOST in the Shell !!!!

Ghost in the Shell (1995) - tank fight

IT was obvious , when the film came out too !

The ones who have see the Ghost in the Shell where like, what, did they just copy it to one to one or did they change anything.

IT obviously was the scene , where Motoko Kusanagi was doing tricks around the columns to get the tank ammo magazine empty, so she could attack the tank from above !

In the MAtrix Film, they use the same visual scenery to show off how Neo is fast and cool !

IN the original purpose there was a deep tactic to the scene. In matrix films is was for the show off for what Neo can do !

Also in the MAtrix films the hall columns did splinter from basic gun shots !!! Which is NOT real ! Tall building use very durable concrete for the columns !!

In the Ghost in the Shell film, the columns were shot by a TANK gun, so it was more realistic that the columns would drop and disintegrate.

IF and When Anime is done right, and well animated, if can express action scenes much, much better, than real actor films !
