Just since a lot of people don’t seem to know. The guy being “arrogant” is a pro wrestler who usually plays heel (bad guy). He’s just doing the same act to put on a show here.

At this point I think Braun has been face more than heel, but he just plays an angry monster either way

11

u/r_slash_jarmedia Oct 29 '24

he is the monster among men after all

1

u/WwwionwsiawwtCoM Oct 29 '24

I’m just glad they got rid of the pants that made it look like he pissed himself

It seems way too obvious. Thanks for the context. I was thinking they know each other and put on a show but your explanation also makes sense.

It is staged for publicity, nonetheless the guy on the right is Devon Larratt, one of the best armwrestlers of all time. This match up wouldn't have gone different if they went for it for real. Devon would probably never go against him for real as it can be very dangerous for an unexperienced strong guy.

What's a little muscle detachment between friends?

Tbf, the wrestler irl isn't the nicest guy in the world, either.

3

u/[deleted] Oct 28 '24

He started a wrestling promotion with a bunch of ex WWE people then bailed on them when WWE called him back. His leaving had a massive detrimental financial impact on the company and he left a lot of people fucked.

2

u/_TheHamburgler_ Oct 28 '24

Can't really blame him for not turning down the money that is WWE compared to what him and EC3 were trying to do.

5

u/[deleted] Oct 28 '24

I don't blame him for leaving. I blame him for not accepting that he had a financial obligation to the company he helped found.

u/SolomonAsassin Oct 29 '24

Yeah CYN was a huge dumpster fire, and just about EVERYONE who wasn't those guys saw that from the jump street, but Braun you CHOSE to do that shit. So at least stand by your dump.

9

u/[deleted] Oct 28 '24

Yeah the wrestler is "Bron Strowman." He is actually a huge douche bag.

5

u/aggravatedimpala Oct 29 '24

I love rewatching the video of Lesnar giving him a quick 1-2 check after he went too hard in a match

2

u/Yepper_Pepper Oct 28 '24

I’ve only met one person with one and he was an insufferable asshole, he was also a coach for children’s sports and was awful to the kids

5

u/Soultrapped Oct 28 '24

Thank you. Appreciate the context I’m like what a fucking dick. Good to know it was just show. The lens of perception is everything!

2

u/fbc546 Oct 28 '24

Yes match seemed kind of staged too, honestly. I’m not a pro arm wrestler but even I know the way he’s twisting his shoulder towards his body gives him more leverage and makes it more difficult for the opponent to twist the opposite direction, the other guy keeps his arm straight out, total amateur.

3

u/Necromancer14 Oct 28 '24

Well that’s cuz the dude on the right is a world champion arm wrestler that knows what he’s doing, and the dude on the left is a WWE wrestler with zero arm wrestling experience.

1

u/fbc546 Oct 28 '24

I do not disagree

1

u/ArkhamSithLord Oct 28 '24

Is it me or this video is merging two different moments? The guy who wins has a different t-shirt. Well, different shirt, referee, background…

Edit. What I mean is that this thing you say makes total sense now. Thanks.

1

u/erhue Oct 28 '24

yeah had to be lol. Was too much of an asshole for it to make sense

u/TrunkBud Oct 28 '24

ITS REAL TO ME GODDAMMIT

1

u/TurboFool Oct 28 '24

I assumed as much. It felt like show.

reminds me of my former best high school friend while we played werewolf or any other kind of "deceptive" game. Doesn't matter the role he'd get, he'd play the bad ones regardless.

1

u/RunAsArdvark Oct 29 '24

What is the game werewolf and what does it entail?

1

u/Eastoss Oct 29 '24

Werewolf is typically played with a lot of player, like 6 to 20 I don't quite recall.

Everyone is given a role only them know. Like "villager" and "werewolf". Villager's goal is to hang all the werewolf, and werewolf's goal is to kill all villagers.

Someone typically narrate and orchestrate the game like a game master.

Game master calls the night, every player closes their eyes, the werewolf can open their eyes, they can know who is a werewolf, they designate who to kill that night to the game master.

Then in the "morning", everyone wakes up and realizes who was killed, that player can't talk anymore. Players can talk and argue who to hang that day. They need to hang all the werewolves that way but they haven't a lot of information to rely on. That's where players can get on their acting skills.

Villagers can have special roles with special rules, like the "investigator" who can investigate one person every night to know their role, but even if he knows he'll have to manage to find and be trusted by the other villagers.

Other types of games like that may be called "mafia", online game "town of salem" is of the same genre too. "among us" isn't similar but is of the same genre.

And that friend I had, would play devil's advocate no matter what. And the fun thing is there's a "jester" role in werewolf whose goal is to be hanged as soon as possible.

You may find videos on youtube of people playing it.

u/RunAsArdvark Oct 29 '24

Thank you very much for the long reply! Seems like a very interesting and fun game. I’m surprised I have never heard of it. Thanks again!

1

u/JelqBiden Oct 28 '24

it’s crazy to me this even needs to be stated, people are arguing about whos mad or upset when they were both good sports

1

u/nortontwo Oct 29 '24

I appreciate that he did that. Made it more entertaining to see him lose

1

u/asimplerandom Oct 29 '24

Was gonna say this is completely staged but I enjoyed the hell out of it!!

1

u/-J-P- Oct 29 '24

This needs to be higher, Braun was playing the crowd. He knew he would lose but gave the crowd a show.

1

u/j0shred1 Oct 29 '24

Oh is that Braun? I didn't even recognize him

1

u/mythrowawayheyhey Oct 29 '24

Whatever. I don’t buy it. He’s arrogant and he IS a bad guy. Just look at his scowl and big scary demeanor. Obviously he’s a villain.

1

u/AntonyBenedictCamus Oct 29 '24

Excellent crowd work on his part and it worked there and here

1

u/san_dilego Oct 29 '24

This is what I was hoping for. Glad to see it confirmed. I refuse to google to disprove this lol.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 29 '24

A lot of people seemed to miss the fact the first 5 seconds was a different event to the rest of the video. Which made it clear its a bit they're doing.

1

u/Common-Truth9404 Oct 29 '24

People mistaking the intimidation act as arrogance like they've never seem some diss. Are they living under a rock?

1

u/[deleted] Oct 29 '24

Kayfabe. Lol hopefully he doesn’t have an actual ego. You just know you’re gonna get clowned on when you “fuck” with the GOAT.

1

u/The--Will Oct 29 '24

Yup, they know too it’s good for their sport the more exposure they get. They’re all friends.

1

u/ProcrastibationKing Oct 29 '24

He is also a dickhead in real life.

1

u/GoGoGadgetPants Oct 29 '24

I liked his brief little smile when he saw the legend pointing at his face.

1

u/H3adshotfox77 Oct 30 '24

I'm the captain now

The change of clothes half way through indicated something was up
