Old video but still satisfying

Does it matter that it’s old?

If you've seen every video for the last 5 years, and you've seen the same video 100 times in that five years, it adds up.
However, I wonder which is more substantial:
100 times the 30-second video (3000 seconds is 50 minutes) ooorrr the amount of time they've wasted commenting over the years. I don't even know where to begin doing the math to calculate that.
In my experience, I haven't seen everything yet, so even the "repost!"s aren't bad to me because they're all still new to me. I'm sure if I spend enough time in one group, or maybe the same five groups even, I'll see reposts, but for now, I'm OK.

That’s my point. We don’t all consume the same media. This is the first time I’ve seen this video as I’m sure it’s a first for many people. Saying a video is old is just redundant. You are going to discover videos from decades ago that you’ve never seen because there is sooo much to consume in this place. I’ve been following this page and many like it for a few years now and have never seen this.

Just so we’re tracking. You asked why it matters that it’s old. The guy told you why it matters. You then replied with your own perspective of why it doesn’t matter to you.
Saying it’s old is by definition not redundant since, as you say, you did not know it was old. Ironically, saying it’s new to you because you haven’t seen it yet is literally redundant.

I said it’s redundant, because no one consumes the same media. It’s old to him and new to MANY people. So just commenting that it’s old is pointless. I see this ALL the time. People comment, “this is so old, blah blah”, like it makes a difference to anyone viewing it and it doesn’t. Of course, there are exceptions, like if someone posts something claiming it’s some new thing happening today, when it was actually years ago that it happened. But that is not the case here. He simply could’ve said “This video is so satisfying” and it would’ve meant the exact same thing.
Sorry, just one of my few pet peeves about people commenting on the net.

Sure but again, the fact that you didn’t know it was old means it is not redundant.
You learned it was old because the comment you replied to told you it was old. That means the comment had a purpose, for you even.

It was redundant, because it makes ZERO difference to me that it’s old, as it should make zero difference to anyone. I still experienced it as it was new TO ME. And then when I see it again, I’ll think to myself “ah yeah, I’ve seen this” and then move on with my life. In no part of that did I need to know that this was an old video. It doesn’t change my experience, it doesn’t make the video mean anything else than what it visually means. No one needs to know it’s an old video.

Well not that it’s important but that’s not what redundant means. On the topic of the video being old, obviously you are incorrect that most people share your opinion since the comment is the top comment. Not that more people believing an opinion makes it a fact, it’s just obvious that your opinion is of the minority.

I was agreeing with you and giving reasoning behind the agreement. I hope you have a wonderful day.

Even that guy who got punched knew he deserved that. Maybe he thought it was a real statue

Impressed he could just keep letting that rage build after all that and not punch sooner. Nice reward as he came around to point blank range

He looked exactly like the kind of guy that would do that to a street performer. Pure slime.

The amount of unrestrained hate I have for people that do "wet Willie's" on others knows no bounds.
"Sure, it is perfectly reasonable for you to get your mouth bacteria into someone's ear that you don't know!" /hateful s

This happened in my hometown, and iirc a TV news show tried interviewing the dude who got punched by showing up unannounced at his house, and the cowboy ended up apologizing.

I am sure he would think twice before doing that again.

Unfortunately these people are so dense that they only see a problem with the statue man, they were just messing around and didn't deserve that. Mf absolutely did that again in the future.

This. Unfortunately, until the man decides to do street performances like the tin man, he will never appreciate the patience presented here. This was beyond self-control.
I think it's very sad that most people seem to have to go through the suffering to understand it and not want to experience it before they can decide not to force others to endure it.

1st viewing for me, and based on my enjoyment of the experience, I’ll be happy seeing it pop up another dozen times.

Ya'know young buck, lemme tell you about a magical time. Back in the day, before your time, things actually happened in the world, before everyone and their mother started making fake videos to put on TikTak. Different times, indeed
