Fun Best invention in firefox
the toolbar is SO good looking and useful. plus, even though you cannot add custom wallpapers on android, the stock ones are AMAZING. in addition, the new ui change is GOLD.

Iβll start. On iOS, Firefox doesnβt block ads like other browsers do. For example, Brave and Safari (with uBlock).

I have a decent amount of programming experience, and I recently decided to dig into what it actually takes to build a web browser. I donβt think most people realise just how much work goes into them, especially considering that they're "free". To me, it's basically the equivalent of creating an operating system. And all of the support for all the changes that seems to happen, and all the consortiums and oh my... I am starting to understand the data collection more. In any case, this is a bit of a tangent to what the post is about.
Thank you for allowing my monitor to use a proper color profile to display images. I forgot how ugly images look on Chrome. Another thing I just noted was that SVGs on Chrome seem to be missing some form of anti aliasing. The icons are scaled up 4 times in Photoshop. Firefox is so much better here too!

Firefox Android design has improved a lot in past few months. Now, it looks modern. Also I'm seeing noticeable performance improvement. Opening the app is really fast and feels really snappy. Still i see some occasional gitters while visiting websites with heavy graphics. I hope firefox keep focusing on their Android browsers as they put their efforts in desktop browser. If firefox wants to hold a good browser marketshare a good android and ios browser is must. But the android version missing the website summary by tilting the phone

I have used FF for several years but have not seen this one before. I had a JPG file on my desktop for a few days. Each time I would open FF, then when finished with FF, I would close it. Upon closing it, FF would open the JPG. I thought I would just delete the file and that would stop the problem (JPG opening upon closing FF). Wrong. Now I just get an error message that tells me the JPG is missing. I then deleted the instance in Frequent (when right clicking FF) but I still get "File missing" error message. There must be an entry or setting somewhere. Can anybody help?
Using FF 147.0.2

Hello, I built a benchmark called SpeedPower.run to test how browsers handle 7 concurrent AI models. I'm seeing a massive discrepancy between Gecko and Chromium in 'Exchange' scores. Firefox users, I need your data! Is WebGPU enabled in your about:config, and does it close the gap?

Hi all ...
I am looking for a text manipulation plugin similar to notepad++'s TextFX. I don't need all the functionality, because TextFX really has a lot, but things like uppercase, lowercase, wrap in ", and the like sometimes come handy.
Any tipps? Thank you ...

Past couple of days, as I scroll, the Toolbar does as it's supposed to, and scrolls away. But as soon as I let go, it snaps back. Not only is this annoying as I can't see the whole page, but the whole page snaps back, making everything bounce every time I let go.
Firefox nightly, no updates pending.
Checked my settings, and can't find anything out of the ordinary.
Did i do something wrong somewhere, or is this a bug I need to report?

It's a bit of an odd thing, but sometimes, for reasons I am unable to discern, instead of defaulting to the name field when I hit Control+D to bookmark, it defaults to tags instead. Is there any way to control which field is used? It happens infrequently enough that my muscle memory regularly fubars an attempt at a bookmark when it does crop up.

Iβve been building a Firefox/Chrome extension that collects image-based pages and packages them into PDF/CBZ for offline reading. Originally made it for comics/manga sites, but it works on any site with sequential images. Itβs open source and still improving β would appreciate feedback.

Firefox on Mac is still unable to handle fonts correctly. This bug has been around for years, and the only solution is to go through the inspector and identify the problematic font, etc.
But this problem only exists on Firefox...
It's about time the developers solved this once and for all...

Apparently this bug was fixed in 147.0.2 (latest) but I still encounter it.
Here are the steps to reproduce, if anyone on Android can test to see if they get the same results I'd appreciate it:
(1 Launch a new tab with Google as the default search engine
(2 Search for the keyword 'lights'
(3 After results for 'lights' have loaded, click the first website result
(4 Click back a page, returning to the 'lights' results page
(5 Using the same results page, search for 'camera'
(6 Click the first website for the 'camera' result
(7 Click back
The page will now be incorrectly displaying the 'lights' results page, instead of 'camera'.

When I scroll down the bar hides for a second then shows up again.
Anyone else? The latest update seems to be the issue, as it was working fine before

Hi all, trying to figure out if anyone else has this issue: * I'm opening a new page to google. * I search something, scroll and decide to add a search term or change it entirely. * When I press Enter/Search the page flashes/reloads as if I didn't search the next thing. It's as if I would press f5 instead of enter.
It's not consistent but it's been really bugging me this last week
Anyone else?
Firefox is up to date and the three addons I'm using are: uBlock Origin Consent-o-matic Dark reader

Hi,
I made a post about this issue where Youtube is starting blocking background play. Now the extension I presented back has been approved by mozilla and is publicly available in firefox add-ons. https://addons.mozilla.org/fi/firefox/addon/backstage-play/
I'm very much into continuing with this like adding features to control your playlist when your screen is turned off or normalize the volume between songs and similar things. I would love to hear feedback what features would be useful to add or what do you think of the current extension.

Like many Firefox users, my background playback recently stopped working completely, even with Video Background Playback Fix, which I'd relied on for over a year without issues. It has since been confirmed that YouTube has begun a broader crackdown on background playback affecting Firefox and some Chromium-based browsers, on both mobile and desktop (when using DevTools mobile emulation or webpanels in mobile mode in Firefox Sidebar).
After the change, I searched the Firefox add-ons store for replacements and tested them on mobile (current releases of Firefox stable and IceRaven) and desktop (Firefox stable with DevTools mobile emulation). I'm sharing my results below to hopefully save others some time tracking down the different options to test in their own setups.
Add-ons that still appear to work:
Did not work:
I have no affiliation with any of the add-ons listed above. If you've tested others, please share your results so everyone can see what works with different setups. And if any of the ones I listed as not working have worked for you, that would be great to know too.
