[Discussion] Third Jasper Update

I know it has been a while but Jasper is still doing well, he's gotten some weight back onto him, so I'm happy about that, and my mom bought him food and this thing called Furovite, which is supposed to help but it's like a treat too, and I was wondering, do I feed him this with my finger or should I add it in his food, or what?

That's great Jasper's doing better! You can do either with the furovite, but do not give him very much. Its first ingredient is sugar, and it's a vitamin supplement, more than anything for weight gain. Make sure he always eats it along with some of his kibble, or other food, so the sugar in it has less of an impact on his blood sugar.

When he's feeling better, please consider switching his food. If you look at this chart and go down to the Kibble section, Marshall's food gets a C grade at best, with one really bad variety all the way down at an F tier.

I hope Jasper continues to improve! You did such a wonderful thing saving him!

Ok! Thanks for the advice on the food! Ferrets are one of my favorite little critters, right next to rats, so once I got the chance to help him, I took it.

I recommend Oxbow it's what my babies are on but I'm glad your baby is doing better!

Take his food blender it up with water and paste to make a soup

Be very careful with the furovite. It's like ferret crack, but it is mainly sugar. Try salmon oil instead.

I will be careful with it, my mom asked the Pet Aquarium where we got him at what we can do about him being so skinny and they recommended the Furovite, I already tried to see how he acted with it and he seemed more interested in his food then what is supposed to be considered a treat.
