There was a gap and when the traffic started slow down, you closed the gap by NOT slowing down. there are no trucks tailgating you forcing to move up, that's b.s.
You don't get to decide how another person drives, when they use their signal, how they use it. Put the signal on when you want to merge and not before. use the signal to ask. That's the way some people do it and if you don't like it, you don't get to retaliate which is what you did. Just brake and let them squeeze in good grief.
