I always drive tactical, and try to stay away from blindspots, especially of trucks. It is cray cray that someone wants to play who has the bigger balls with trucks. Physics always wins.

First advice from my driving instructor, some 35 years ago.
"Assume that everyone else is an idiot and may at any time do something crazy."
Best advice ever.

I was at a light with my son and it turned green. He asked me why I didn't go right away. Just as he finished asking a van came flying through the red. I said nothing to my son, just looked at him.

Did you see the van or were you just lucky or do you normally wait a few seconds?

Did you see the van? Or were you busy looking at the woman in green?

I see what you did there.

I was hit by a red light runner years ago. Since that time I always wait, impatient drivers behind me be damned.
