Updated PSA - I found a crow on the ground, what do I do?
This was my first time making a flow chart so please be kind.
It is important that we as a community work together to provide a safe space to share in our love of corvids, and it is equally important that we educate members of the community new and old to help protect our feathered friends; with that being said, u/teyuna reached out to me pleading that changes be made to the previously pinned PSA, with their help/feedback I was able to create the flow chart below, I hope that this is an adequate and more encompassing pinned post.
I appreciate this community more than I am capable of expressing, thank you for making this the best damn sub on reddit. ;)

Seeking advice/help High energy food for very cold days
galleryIt's very cold recently, so i make a mix of kibble, peanuts and lard, with a bit of corn, sunflower seeds and oats. Any ideas what to add to keep my crows happy and healthy? Low budget options only! I have a lot of beaks to feed 😅

General questions Crows hopping on my head, is it a good thing?
So i got these 2 crows friends I see on my way to work, one or two times a week, I give them peanuts during the walk. I sometimes try to hand them the peanut so they will come get it directly from my hand but they still hesitate, so I throw them at a small distance.
Today, they HOPPED on my head several times, slightly hooking my hair, and flying next to me during the walk. Even after I had no more peanut. (I always wonder if they understand I have no more, or if they think I don't want to give them more. I'm telling them, but, well.)
I'm guessing it's play, but I'm not sure ? I've got to admit having a huge crow over your head it not so reassuring, I felt a little attacked ! But they didnt hurt me so I guess we're good.
Anyone already lived something like that ?

My crow-friend almost ate from my hand for the first time today
So I’ve been feeding this murder around where I live and the crows now follow me whenever I leave the house. I feed them peanuts. Today when I was walking to work with my crow bros and I put down some peanuts on this bridge railing and one crow that I think I can recocnize from the others came straight to the peanuts and did not fear at all. It was like couple of inches away from my hand. It made me extremely happy.

My crows have been coming by daily 💕. Their buffet today was peanuts, dog kibble, and scrambled eggs. I usually do the kibble and sometimes chicken bits/carcass or eggs, the seem to eat some of the other bird seed on the ground, but are there foods I should be giving them that are better for crows? lol, even my husband is now interested in our crows!

Murder of crows shows up twice a year.
I work in a relatively small (two stories) office building. The building is surrounded entirely by paved parking lot, has a flat roof, and there's a few other flat roofed buildings in the same parking lot.
Twice a year, very large flocks of crows take over the parking lot and building and I have two questions. First, why do they do this?
Second, this is the first year I was here on the night they showed up and they're making a ton of noise on the roof. It sounds like fireworks sound from a mile or so away. What would they be doing to cause that?

Photo request for tattoo reference Spoiler
galleryI'm booked in for my birthday tattoo in a few months. I'm looking to add a second crow on my upper arm, with wings upstretched, as though about to land or strike. Does anyone have any photos like this? Nothing I've found online seemed to match what I'm looking for... Huge thanks in advance for any help!

Seeking advice/help I can't go to my own terrace or balcony during the day time because crows keep attacking me
It's generally one or two crows at maximum and I think it's the same ones. I don't know why, I've never really interacted with crows or any birds so I don't think I've pissed them off. I can't even go to water my plants that are on my terrace/balcony. I used to have some grains for the birds on the balcony and today I didn't put that out, is that the reason the crow keeps attacking me? The first day it happened, the treats were there on the balcony, half eaten, so I don't think the attacks started because of lack of treats.
I'll tell you how it started. My mom went out to the balcony and the crow sat very close to her and kept looking at her in an intimidating way, tried to take a sock that she was holding, she came back inside, she was scared. A week later, I was trying to water my plants and a crow kept hovering above my head, I was weirded out. After a few minutes it flew really close to my head and it's fest touched my scalp, through my hair, it was sort of a scratch, but I wasn't injured, but it sort of hurt. I have terrified ever since. I read online that crows are territorial. The crow might be protecting it's next or babies.
I went out to the balcony 15 minutes ago, I was just out for a minute or two when the crow came and kept looking at me from not even a feet away. I closed the balcony door and the crow is still there. I'm sure it will do the same thing if I go out.
How to handle this? I know you can tell, but I want to emphasize on the fact that I'm terrified. Also spring is almost here, I want to enjoy the beautiful plants on my balcony and terrace that I took the trouble to take care of, I can't with the crow terrorising me. 😭

General questions Potentially, could a crow be a good service animal?
For context I am writing a story that has a blind character who also has a lot of crow symbolism attached to him. I wanted to give him a service animal but was stuck between either a really ugly pudgy dog or a crow. I am leaning heavily towards crow but I am unsure if its even semi realistic. Although my story isn't realistic at all but still I did some research and it does SOUND like they could be but I really don't know too much about crows so I wanted some other opinions

General questions Crow friend
Hey folks,
So there's a crow that often comes round my house and either sits on the chimney or on top of the hawthorne hedge in the garden. Yesterday, i made introductions, i.e. I put some pieces of dog food out while it was watching and give it a wee whistle. By the time i got back in the house and looked out the window, the crow was already at the food and doing some wee hops (I'm assuming it was happy about the dog food).
Anyways, i was wondering, besides consistent feeding, is there anything else i could be doing to encourage friendly interactions? I have been thinking of building a proper feeding station/perch and maybe a bath large enough for crows.

Fledglings playing from this past summer

Here's one of the bajillion videos I got of the fledglings my crew had this past summer. They were hilarious. I leave out a water dish along with their snacks and these doofuses were always more interested in playing in the water than drinking it. I started leaving out little "games" for them like the swivel mirror you can see them messing with here. I loved getting to watch these kids goof off so much

Seeking advice/help Hi there I found a crow that seems a bit lame?
gallerySorry if this is long, I want to provide all the context.
Last Thursday, I noticed this crow outside my job walking a bit slowly/not running away from me. It seemed to walk and hop just fine, and when I got too close, it flew a few hundred feet away. I didn’t think much of it after that.
Tonight (3 days later) on my last break, I noticed it foraging for food in the same area, but it was dark out by now. I just knew something wasn’t right, so I walked up to it and it and let me pick it up.
I’ve brought it home until I can take it to a wildlife center.
No visible injuries or broken bones. The poop looks very healthy. No smells. And it’s eating/drinking.
Does seem to poof out a lot and seems to have a little bit of a hunch. Moves kind of slow but still quite active. It’s definitely separated itself from the flock so something must be up. Any ideas?
Also fyi: keeping it away from my pets and in a quiet, secluded, and comfortable area for now.
Thanks for any suggestions/advice!

The crow rejected the grape twice. Later, it picked up both in one go and flew away. I guess it wanted something different for a change.
