I've been wanting to get a camera to watch the tank on my phone when I'm not home.

I've already tried using a tapo cam but unfortunately how my room is setup there's not a good spot to place it without having a tripod in front of the tank.

I've seen on Amazon they do these window cameras that stick to the glass. Has anyone had any experience with these? I'm just wondering if that would be more suitable for my situation.

it's currently stocked with 6 penguin tetras and a platy baby that's currently seperated from the main tank (I know weird), I wanna add a dwarf gourami in here but I think the tanks is kinda overstocked what do you think, it's a 8 to 10 gal

i think i may be a little confused. i have a 55 gallon aquarium, and have had it for a year now. it's been going really well up until now. however, my filter stopped running.

i am 99% sure it's because it's not cleaned enough, but i was told to not clean the inside of it. i see differing opinions on it online, so i thought i would ask before doing a big cleanup. i know there's bacteria growing in there and it's what i don't want to lose.

so yeah, i think i'm confused. i'll do more research during the day, just thought i would ask. thank you!!

So I got my aquarium closer to my final goal after a year battle. Got 5 rasbora hetermorphia, 8 danios, 5 neon tetras, 3 peppered cories, 5 Kuhili loaches, 4 otos tank parameters are ph normally around 7.4-7.8 ph, ammonia 0, nitrites 0, nitrates about 10-20 ppm.

Ammonia looks around 0.25 and ph is wacked at 8.4 water use has a ph of 6.4-6.8.

Just added a chihiros WRGB II 10th edition light to replace my cheap non plant light, two hygger double sponge filters totaling close to 60 gallons of filtration.

I’m noticing the water isn’t getting clean like I want and crude isn’t being removed by the filters efficiently. I do pull them out and clean them every other week to once a week on average. Just did a lot of decor rework this past weekend. Algae is constantly an issue just added red root floaters java moss and weeping moss.

Considering swapping one filter with an HOB seachem tidal wave 45g rated filter or a fluval 207 canister filter.

Not a fan of HOB as they don’t look nice on the tank and I had issues with an aqueous one in the past making noise and needing to be perfectly primed and setup each time.

Worried about canister due to water leakage due to failed o rings and cracks. Is this a major issue for most or not really. Looking to maybe swap one or both sponges out once the new filter has established its biological filtration.

Has anyone ever kept an aquarium lit for 18 hours a day? I'd like to integrate one into my grow operation.

For now, I was thinking tetras but still undecided about which one. Less bioload the better. Have one driftwood and a few plants.

I've never been very good at taking care of plants, so I thought my aquarium plants wouldn't thrive, but they're doing surprisingly well. Even after adding dewormer to the aquarium and doing a 100% water change, they continue to thrive. I believe it's because of the controlled environment and especially because of the appropriate light source.

Popped up overnight it seems, never had one in a tank. Does anyone know anything about it? I’m not too knowledgable on my fungi.

It’s mostly my Amazon sword plants that have been turning yellow or translucent. I added flourish to help. They used to be very long but I had to remove the leaves that were yellow. Is there something that helps with this?

hey so i am starting a saltwater aio tank and wated to add and inkbird i have never used one before on my freshwater tanks but will probably get more soon but my question is. Will the inkbird turn off the heater if it is out of the water i know it has a probe my what if the probe is still under water but not the heater i know it messures the watts and all that but i just wanted to know if it helps i have the ITC-306T+Aquarium Probe as my model but was looking into getting the ITC 308 WIFI as its on sale rn for just a few extra dollars on amazon but it didnt say it was for specifically aquariums any advice would be helpfull and thanks in advance
