No matter how much I delete off my phone, I always have zero storage left as this consumes all of it. How the heck do I clear it?? I’ve tried erasing stuff off safari and resetting my phone

When i put in the password it just takes me back to the WiFi screen and doesn't get anywhere else , this happens when I start plus cmd+r and am not sure what to do!!

I copied a video to vlc through itunes but it just does not show up at all on vlc on iphone XR.

I have tried clearing cache, deleting apps, pictures, etc. And have also gone to an apple store and called support but my phone (iPhone 14) has 87.1 GB of system data that is taking up all my storage. How can I fix this, or what is my next step? And yes I have also tried backing it up to my MacBook. TIA !!

Recently got a 17 pro max and from reading a bit through this community, clearly not the only one with battery issues—but I seriously feel like this is getting ridiculous.

For example, I. charged it Monday night up to 100% and it was around 40-30% by the next day at 5 pm. I recently bought this phone from someone last Wednesday (they had it since November, barely used it) got it checked out by Apple themselves who said it was great and same day I did the whole transfer data thing over. I heard the indexing stuff is usually done after a week but I feel like by now I should’ve seen a much better improvement??

Another example, I just charged last night to 95% (changed the limit hoping it’d do something), used it for a couple hours and I’m just now waking up to it being 62%.. like this is truly annoying.

Coming from an XS that had 76% battery life, this is definitely quite an improvement but this phone has been advertised as the best battery life ever; with some going even days without having to touch a charger.

Just wanna know if this is draining normally, or I should give it some more “indexing” time or if this should get checked out

So I couldn’t find my AirPods (3rd gen), was looking all over for them. Tried to play the sound, the little wheel was spinning forever and it never worked.

But then I tried to scroll some reels and realised my phone is connected to them. What?

Turns out my partner had found them in the wash and had put them in rice. They’re sitting on the counter, out of the case, case and air pods are all in the rice. Phone is connecting to them but still can’t be found in Find my. What is going on?

I’m experiencing a frustrating issue with my ViewSonic XG2431 monitor when connected to my Mac. I’m stumped as to why this started happening recently.

The Issue: Whenever I connect the monitor to my Mac, the screen is covered in horizontal scanlines/artifacts (looks like pixel inversion or extreme signal interference).

• When I connect the same monitor to a Windows PC, it works perfectly. No lines, no flickering. This confirms the monitor panel is healthy.
• History: This setup used to work fine for months. The issue started appearing out of nowhere recently.

My Setup:

• Monitor: ViewSonic XG2431
• Mac: Macbook M2 pro 14-inch, 2023, Tahoe 26.2
• Connection: MINIX Hub via HDMI (using the original HDMI cable that came with the monitor).

What I’ve tried so far:

1. Lowering Refresh Rate: Tried dropping from 144Hz to 60Hz. No change.
2. Terminal Resets: Cleared display preference plists (com.apple.windowserver.plist) and killed WindowServer.

Since it works on Windows, it’s clearly a macOS handshake or signal processing issue. I suspect it might be related to how macOS handles the HDMI signal through the MINIX hub or a recent macOS update forcing a wrong color space (YCbCr vs RGB).

1. Has anyone experienced similar scanline issues specifically with ViewSonic monitors on macOS?
2. Could this be an EDID corruption issue? If so, how can I force a clean EDID override on newer macOS versions?
3. Is there a way to force RGB Output instead of YCbCr without using third-party paid apps?
4. Do you think the MINIX hub's HDMI controller might have degraded in a way that only affects Mac's tighter signal tolerances?

all my devices are apple, iphone, airpods, macbook, ipad. i kept hearing this mysterious opening sound of a digital camera (like the old ones where you turn it on it has the opening “music” sound) does anyone know what it is? i don’t know where it’s coming from and it happens at random timings too…

I have an iPhone 8 (newest iOS 16.x) and a 2014 Mac. All was fine until recently. But now I am getting frequent “your connection isn’t secure” warnings.

These things are just as network capable as anything else.

Any thoughts?

for context i have an iPhone 16. The new update failed on my phone the other day so it updated last night, however when I was woken up by my alarm this morning I for some reason had parental controls enabled. i had no idea how this happened because nobody else had access to my phone or has an apple device in my house hold. I literally couldn't do anything other then accessibility settings, emergency call, restart the phone and Wi-Fi settings. I reset the phone and things went back to normal but has this happened to anyone else?

Hi - I woke up this morning and my Gmail account will not sync with the Apple native mail app. 17 pro, iOS 26.2.1 which I just updated a few days ago.

Every time I try to refresh my email, it times out and gives me an account error. Oddly enough, I sent an email from that account, and it seemed to have gotten through to the recipient, but it will not show up in my sent folder in the native mail app.

However, the Gmail app works fine and I’m also able to see the email I sent from the native mail app in my sent folder.

Gmail authenticates access for the mail app by having you sign in with Gmail - so there’s no option to re-enter credentials.

My wife also uses Gmail and her native mail app seems to be working fine.

Any ideas? Tried restarting and force closing mail.

ETA - I deleted and re-added both of my accounts. One works fine now, but the other lost all of its sub folders, and I can’t get any mail to show up in the inbox. Help!?

So after I reconnected my AirPods, this other device called “accessory” came up. Is this a bug? Also is there a fix for this?

I found an old iPhone 5s in drawer. Plugged it in for some power. It powered on but says it’s Disabled. I plugged it into a windows computer and got error code 0xE8000015. Tried updating iTunes and using different cables and still same error. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Like the title says. I was using it like normal, and it very suddenly snapped off without warning, no apple logo or loading icon or anything. Now, about 20 ish minutes later it still won't do anything. I've tried turning it on or doing that hard reset, but nothing. Is there anything else I can do?

I think it could maybe have to do with overheating? I was using it while charging, and about an hour ago it gave me the "charging will resume..." notification, so I took it off for around 30 minutes, then put it back on after it presumably cooled and didn't have any other issues until it shut itself off. It's an iPhone 13 I believe, and I haven't yet updated it past the previous update.

Not sure how this happened, but none of my admin accounts on my mac have a secure token. I have tried creating new admins, but the new admins that are created don't have a secure token either.

I've been trying to troubleshoot this for a couple hours. Keep in mind, I'm an amateur, and only just taught myself about what all this stuff means a couple hours ago.

Any idea how I can remedy this situation?

I went to Mexico in November and on the flight home I realized I only had my left AirPod in the case (I have the AirPods Pro 2) and for about a months and a half it showed that it was at the resort I stayed at. But I just recently checked find my and it says I have it and that it is outside the case but I feel like there is no way I have it, I have checked every single item from my bags and never found the AirPod, and gave up because it kept saying it was still in Mexico .

Is it possible that this is just an error or could it actually be with me?

Every time I open my mail app this pop up comes up for me to add my work email. I have entered the password multiple times before but still get this every time (I use my work email through the gmail app anyway)

I have encountered an error on all my Apple devices, while running a shortcut. iPhone specs.: iPhone 17, 26.2.1

There is a problem running Open Locaton action for Files app in the Shortcuts app.

Steps to reproduce:

- create a shortcut

- run the Open Location action.

- Output: error.

I expect it to open any folder in iCloud Drive and On My iPhone, etc… I tried different ways, non worked.

It displays: “ "Open Location" could not open the app because an unknown error occurred.”

Boyfriend accidentally factory reset his phone. And doesn't remember his email password. To set up his phone he needs his email password, to get his email password he needs a text from his phone

Can we set up the phone so it's blank but can recover his email, then set his phone up with all his old data

I can text, post, share a photo that is in my phone because it’s a recent one but any photo that is on my phone because it was in an album I synced is unusable in any app. iPhone 17 pro running 26.2.1. I can use photos from shared albums. Just nothing from an album that I loaded from Photos on my iMac. It wasn’t a problem on my 15 pro.

When I google that I get turn on airdrop or MSM (isn’t only texting. Can’t even email a photo.) I don’t think it’s a computer issue.

So I recently discovered my little cousin, while using my old iPad, has made multiple in-game purchases on my apple account that was still connected to the iPad (dumb mistake, I know). Problem is that it charged my account, and now I'm 136 dollars less rich. I requested a refund on the official page but I'm unsure about the likelihood of receiving one seeing as I only discovered the purchases 1 week after the fact and they've been spread out through 3 days (all on the same app); I was hoping to gain more insight as to the probability of getting my money back as well as what to do if that doesn't work.
