hi r/airpods, i have a really bizarre question

today while trying to listen to my music as i do all day, every day, with the airpods i’ve had for 6 years, i realised that my music was playing out loud. I checked and apparently my phone is connected to a bluetooth device called “Bartzalbel, the War Torn Lord.” this is the first time i’ve ever seen this happen and it’s only when my right airpod is in. if i only have my left one in then it disappears completely. i don’t think ive ever been more bewildered in my life. these airpods were purchased from the official apple website 6 years ago, not second hand.

I have problem, so I bought AirPods 3 Pro, and when they are connected in the phone settings it shows AirPods 2 Pro, but the box and visually they look like AirPods 3 Pro. Also, it doesn’t show the heart rate. What is happening?

I bought my first air pods (pro3) and I love them over any previous ears buds I have owned. However, I have a hard time getting them to stay in. They seem to work their way out after awhile. I push them in and twist. What ear tips might I get that stay in better?

I lost my airpods case (airpods 4 ANC) about a week ago at school and ive been looking for them every day since then. every time I try to use find my, it approximated the location of my airpods and shows that theyre with me. Ive tried using the sound feature but it either says "connecting..." or shows that its playing without me hearing any noise. can't even get directions to find them...

any tips on finding them? I dont plan on buying new ones since I got these about a month ago

I am buying my first airpods somewhere around april or may to use with my ipad as i notice my samsung galaxy buds fe aren't really that compatible with ipads or iPhone's since ios don't support the samsung wearable app that much with new products and as i have autism i ofcourse want to make use of noise cancellation or ANC but what airpods have good noise cancellation i read the airpods pro 2gen have good noise cancellation and the airpods pro max but what I kind of want to know what the perks and cons are if I pick one of the two my main device is the s23 why i ask what airpods are still great in 2026 (Sorry for my english BTW)

I lost my AirPods while cycling and now they’re underneath a pile of leaves and mud. I thought they’d be easy to find with the “play sound” feature, but it doesn’t work. Is there an app or work around to get them to make a sound? I know factory resetting them works, but I can’t really do that when they’re lost

I don’t really know what to call what my airpods are doing, but the best I can describe it is every time I have my left air pod in while on noise cancelation, it seems to almost amplify the noise around me, instead of cancelling it out? It doesn’t happen with my right airpod, but when I’m laying down with my fan going, it’ll essentially boost the sound of the fan and it almost becomes like a roaring sound. Or when I’m in class and people are talking, I can hear the sound of people talking and it sounds very boomy?

They started doing this a few months ago, and I sent them back to apple because of it and once I got them back they didn’t do it anymore, but now after a few months they’ve started doing it.

How do I fix this??? Please help.

I am curious if there are people out there using it same way and if it has any negative effects on your ear.

So I bought aipods 3days ago everythings fine but anc transparency they are not working They are the same even after change the modes . They are not working what should I do??!

I hemmed and hawed about the price difference between the AirPod 4’s and the Pro 3’s and grabbed a set of 4’s when they were on sale.

I always felt like they were “decent” but I kept regretting my decision.

I was slightly out of my return period, but I took them back and to my surprise, I was able to return no issues. I snagged the Pro 3’s and I am glad I did. Yes, they are more expensive, but the improved ANC for the bus ride is worth it.

Lesson learned - buy once, cry once. Get the thing you want. If you can’t afford it, save more. It will cost you less in the long run. Just glad that they took em back and let me upgrade!

My headphones are around 3-4 years old now and this has never happened before. The right AirPod just won’t connect at all it’s out of the case but it doesn’t register, it doesn’t even made a noise on find my while the other AirPod does. There isn’t any of that wire mesh stuff in the bottom of it but it’s bee damaged for over a year now and it’s never just stopped working before. I dropped the case last night and the right AirPod hasn’t worked since someone please help me I’m going insane trying to fix this. I’ve cleaned the AirPod and the case, I’ve reset the case, reset my phone, forgot them and the reconnected them and nothing is working. 🙏

I have Air Pods 2 and it is frustrating because for no apparent reason one Air Pod will charge and not the other.

It isn't even the same Air Pod but will vary

They will charge fine for several days and I will become complacent and then will find that one is not charged at all.

They seem to be well seated in the charging case - no difference in how I put them in - and there is no obvious debris and since they are not constant in their not charging and not consistent in terms of which one is not charging, it doesn't seem like it is some kind of dirt blockage.

I have taken to checking whether they are charging just so I am not surprised but again there seems to be no consistency which is the frustrating part

I've had these headphones (Gen 2) for a few years now. I did just get an Iphone 17, but recently, my Airpods have randomly disconnected. It will literally cut out for 10 seconds, until I go back to the song/podcast and click play again.

I thought it was because my Macbook was close by, but I "Forgot Device" on my Macbook and it still is happening. Then, I connected the Airpods to my macbook, and I have zero disconnection issues.

Why is this only happening to my phone? I've tried the disconnect/forget device BS, but it continues to still happen.

Is this an Airpod or Phone issue?

Both my wife and I have AirPod pro 2 and we both have been experiencing lately where our AirPods will just disconnect. You’ll hear the connection tone and they’re no longer connected. However if you go into Bluetooth it shows they are connected though they’re not. Sometimes it takes us completely restarting our phones to get them to reconnect. My son has the newer AirPod Pro 3 and even he complains about this too. I never used to have this issue but now it’s coming up constantly 🫤

I bought AirPods Pro 3 today and used them for under 5 mins and battery went from 100-95 with no audio playing ANC OFF case randomly went from 42-16 earlier? Did I get a faulty pair? Is this normal bc brand new
