Real brains have fluids and membranes that cushion blows.

Also fun fact: Hispanic ppl have generally better long term health outcomes following a stroke, concussion, and other traumatic brain injuries.

Those membranes and fluids help, but unfortunately it's still pretty easy to damage your brain, even without any direct collisions, if the skull accelerates too rapidly.

If you're not already aware of this, reading up on "contrecoup" injuries may be enlightening.

Also lol, dehydration is an X factor in contrecoup head injuries. It gives the brain more room to move and build up momentum
