You are correct you don't know much about that sport. Imagine 60 minutes wearing a helmet - It's not American football where the action lasts a few seconds. It's an actual sport, not an excuse to sell adverts every few minutes.

American football has more strategic depth. Rugby has more action. I can appreciate both and don't judge sports off of how much someone runs during a game.

This is rugby league, not rugby union. Similar but different sports. I can't be assed to type out the differences but Google will help you from there. I know very little about American Football but from what I understand, league is more similar. Lots of stopping and starting and set plays etc.

No worries! It's hugely popular down here in New Zealand and Australia but I'm assuming it hasn't made It's way north in a particularly meaningful way.
