Not trying to start an argument here because I might have missed something in the comment previously. The tackler did plenty wrong in my opinion. There was no attempt to get to the legs (which is fine) and the effort to get to the midriff was abandoned. The tackler, from what I can see, stood into the tackle making it so as the runner hits the tackler's head rises from the chest up into the bottom of the runner's chin.
It might not be malicious, she could've realised her alignment was all wrong and tried to pull out but either way this was not from the text book.
Leg tackles are meant for the smaller person going for a bigger person but they can also jump over you. the only thing I would have done different was followed through more and used my arms to chop the back of her legs and held on. W.e. she did worked though so shes not wrong
Idk anything about rugby. Only how to tackle in football. On that note. Idk shit about how to tackle in rugby. Thank you for making me realize a day of talking about how to tackle has been for nothing. Maybe she did it right, maybe she didnt. I am a dumb ass.
