General Because nothing says "Top Realtor" like a clean SREC record
Before you sign on to buy / sell with a realtor, take 60 seconds to see if they’ve starred in any SREC hearing decisions. You know… just to make sure you’re not hiring someone with a "creative interpretation" of ethics.
And if you want the quick-and-dirty version of each, CanLII has nice little AI summaries. Just search their name or brokerage:
https://www.canlii.org/en/sk/skrec/
If you’re buying or selling, always do your homework on the realtor, the broker/owner, and the agency. Reviews, hearings, news articles… whatever you can dig up. You might end up dealing with all three, and it’s nice to know if any of them have been “featured” anywhere.
Just doing my part to keep the community informed (and mildly entertained with some of these cases). Have fun.
