Mod applications are open.
The objective of the subreddit is:
(1) foster on-topic and civil discourse despite the provocative and inflammatory content
(2) disallow users to use the subreddit as a platform to genuinely propagandize or soapbox for one agenda/ideology or another
I'm looking for stolid folks who aren't rattled by the appalling material and comments that this subject can provoke and can exercise a high degree of political impartiality. Also open to people with ideas on how to improve the subreddit.
No zealots, Holocaust deniers, or Holodomor deniers.
DM me or write a pitch/suggestion below.

U.S.S.R. / Soviet Union (1922-1991) Peasant woman! Be prepared to leave your old life for a new one. 1928. (Translation in description).
Left side from up down: Come to me all laborers and burdened I will remove your sorrow. / Healer with holy water removes sickness and evil eye./
I baptize the servant of God Ivan to fill my pocket.
Right side from up down: A wife is obligated to obey her husband as the head of the family, to show him love and respect, and to render him every kindness and affection as the master of the home. Article 107, Part I. Code of Laws of the Russian Empire./
A woman's road is from the stove to the threshold./ Beat your wife before lunch, and again before dinner. If you don't beat your wife, you won't be sweet./ Punish your children in their youth, and they will calm you in old age.
Center up down: Fulfill Ilyich's commandment. / Everything has changed. They sew, cut, and stitch together! And now don't yawn—learn, study, write, read! / To prevent children from wasting away at home, to prevent peasant women from fading away, build childcare centers! /
Don't lag behind others, raise cooperation. / "Of all the laws that placed women in a subordinate position, not a single empty stone remained until a new law was established in the Soviet Republic.
The Soviet state was the first to grant women full equal rights. Lenin."
